This concert was part of a FM birthday bash held to raise funds for The Mercury Phoenix Trust. As this was unfortunately an event for the "C-lebrities", we don't know much about the performance and there are no audio or video recordings either which is a shame because the setlist was highly interesting! Please note Brian and Roger may not have played in ALL those tracks - this was just my assumption. All I know is that Brian and Roger played in *most* tracks, Spike was on keyboards and Neil Fairclough on bass...

The concert was held in a field at the back of the Kings Arms pub and raised tens of thousands of pounds for cancer charities. It was organised by John Callis (a sound engineer who works for Paul McCartney), Brian May and Richard Baulu, landlord of the Kings Arms. The idea came about when John Callis and Andy Scott (guitarist with The Sweet from All Cannings) both underwent treatment for prostate cancer at hospitals in Bristol two years ago. The show was opened by Brian May, Kerry Ellis and Vittorio Grigolo with a performance of 'Who Wants To Live Forever' featuring the arena choir and an orchestra. After an hour Brian May returned to the stage introduced by a video from 'Live Aid': with Kerry Ellis and the orchestra he performed 'No One But You' (he sang the second verse without his guitar and finished the song on his Red Special). After that (and with his acoustic 12-string guitar) Brian introduced 'Somebody To Love' and Kerry Ellis sang the entire song. They finished their performance playing 'We Will Rock You' (with the orchestra) and a beautiful version of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' (Vittorio Grigolo on lead vocals, Kerry Ellis on vocals featuring the orchestra and a gospel ensemble). The performance was broadcasted on television two days later (on June 3). (Apart from some minor cuts at the end there was no other editing or overdubbing).
