We Will Rock You video shoot (24. - 25.11.1981)

Those two concerts had a different equipment to both 'Game/Flash' and 'Hot Space' tours so it's better to make a separate section for them.

Percussion
Roger's Ludwig kit Roger's timpani Freddie's tambourine
Roger presented the Ludwig "silver glitter" kit again: 26" x 16" Bass Drum, Ludwig 13" x 12", 14" x 14", 16" x 16" & 18" x 16" Tom Toms, Ludwig Snare Drum 14" x 7", 16" & 14" Roto Toms, Zildjian 14" Hi-Hats, Paiste 8", Paiste 16", Zildjian 18", Paiste 18" and Zildjian 22" (converted from Ride) Crash Cymbals, Zildjian 20" Ride Cymbal, Paiste 20", Paiste 24" and Zildjian 22" China Cymbals. It was complemented by a Syndrum kit of pads and a Paiste 60" gong. He also had Premier and Slingerland snares for spare use. The bass drum logo was the face.

During Keep Yourself Alive Freddie played a New Era tambourine and Roger used Ludwig Timpani in his solo.

Bass guitars
Fender Precision '68 Musicman Stingray Fender Special Fender Precision '68 model for most of the concert, except for Under Pressure (Fender Precision Special) and the first encore (Musicman Stingray). Back-up was a Kramer Custom DMZ.

Guitars
Brian's Red Special Brian's Ovation Freddie's Ovation and Brian's Telecaster John Birch copy in the back Brian used the Red Special, an Ovation 12 string acoustic for Love Of My Life and CLTCL (Freddie used his own Ovation in CLTCL too) and a Fender Telecaster also for CLTCL. On the right photo you can see the Birch replica that served as back-up.

Piano
Freddie's Steinway Freddie's Steinway D concert grand, used also by Brian. It seems they didn't use any synths, there's no Oberheim OBX in sight. They did have a Jupiter 8 for the soundcheck but that was it.

Quote
John Deacon (1982): "Just last year I met some of the people from the Fender factory in Los Angeles. They actually gave me one. When you're struggling and can't afford one... but when you're successful, they give you one. It's quite nice; a Fender Precision Special. The old ones just have volume and tone. Now they have three knobs: volume, bass and treble. That's quite nice. I used that guitar on Under Pressure."

Vocals
Shure mics; same as during the previous tour.
