God, with naming albums you can go in any direction, picking something as inane as "The Full Quid" or "Song For The Messenger" or fuck knows what.... I can't fathom guesses on the album title until I know what kind of music we're in for. I trust the guys, musically. Even though I wasn't too hot on "Take Love", I appreciated the message of the song, which I suppose could be taken in lots of ways... I dunno. I've been reading the riot act to people not to get obsessed with the band title, so it'd be improper of me to enter a discussion of the album title, would it not? I'm outta here. |

Shame they don't have more Queen stuff though. I have my doubts that they would ever play Columbia, but then again I never thought they would tour the US so I guess anything is possible. Oh come on. They are going to be making more albums and doing more tours for hopefully the next 15 to 20 years. Where's the support?! Why stop as long as the music's good and the people worldwide keep buying and going to the shows? I also did not think it would really happen with them but always since 1999 hoped so like cRaZy! I ended up seeing them at the Duluth, Georgia show but I thought they actually started TOO EARLY! I have never seen a rock group start so close to on time before! It really irked me because I was pushing it to the last minute since I was late leaving from work and swallowed my pizza and Coke whole. Lord have mercry! As far as the Bad Company show I think that that was really cool that you all were there as well...were you all on the civilian side or army side? That was crazy cool too as it was cool to see the civilians all one side and then just fatigues all on the other! I hope they like the show as much as I did! There were definintely more army people there than civilians so I was kind of bummed that more people didn't show up but how often are there good legendary rock groups to see at Fort Jackson anyway, eh? Oh! The drummer is Simon Kirk! I just remembered! Lol! Of course as good as Bad Company were Queen are the best that Paul Rodgers has worked with...the best besides Queen is Free. I wish they would reform while Queen weren't doing things sometime down the road. I know that they would need a new guitarist but I think that that could and should find someone...Slash anyone? FREE were one of the best groups ever! Period! I also think Queen will come back to the U.S. for a host of reasons but one in terms of the last tour is because there left out so many major markets. I think they were playing it safe. I think they actually did quite good job with attendance with little to no press and no airplay from "Return Of The Champions". |
Erin 19.06.2007 20:31 |
Where's the support? I only saw 7 US dates on the last tour. ;-P I just think that when they tour next, they'll probably hit some other countries first. Hopefully, they'll come back, though. |

"Phoenix Rising"? I wouldn't be that surprised... It'd be very much in the grandiloquent vein of "Return of the Champion". |

"And then there were two" "Bigger than Bono" "Knights of Mandela" "Regicide" Hot Space II is a fucking amazing idea :P They could also go for a bold nontitled album, with a more emblematic version of the queen symbol, akin to Primal Fear's 2005/6 release "Seven Seals" |

I hope they will be original and that means no words like Rock or Return or Champions in the title. I'd rather like it they just call it QPR or something. |

How about - "The People Are The Champions" - Paul is fond of the expression. LOL. Yuck. But more seriously - I like something simple, but cool, like "Phoenix" |
