Just because I'm a lazy man and hate searching for things on the site, I decided to compile all of John's "Ultimate Collections" into a cohesive thread so that those of you who are like me need not search the site up and down for these wonderful posts. Also, if you were planning on doing this anyway, John, I'll delete the body of the text and post a link of a picture of iGSM in cowboy boots. If I missed any, let me know - as far as I know, there wasn't a 1976 Best Of The Rest thread. Perhaps it would be a good idea if this thread were stickied? Just a thought. 1970 - Pre-John Deacon (Or, The Barry Mitchell Saga): link Debut album: link Queen II: link Sheer Heart Attack: link A Night At The Opera: link 1975 extras: link A Day At The Races: link News Of The World: link 1977 extras: link Jazz: link Live Killers/1979 extras: link EDIT, 2/10/06 - 1980s collection: 1980, Part 1: link 1980, Part 2: link 1981: link 1982: link 1983: link 1984: link 1985: link 1986: link 1987: link 1988: link 1989: link EDIT, 11/19/05 - 1990s and 2000s collections: 1990: link 1991, Innuendo: link 1992: link 1993: link 1994: link 1995: link 1996: link 1997: link 1998: link 1999: link 2000, part one: link 2000, part two: link 2000, FM Collection: link 2001: link 2002 - 2004: link |

I just thought that I would bump this to give some of the newer fans some kind of idea on what kind of a discussion board this section can be. I urge everyone to read all the threads contained within, as they are a wealth of information for any Queen fan. |

Bumping, because the 1990s and 2000s have now been collected. Once the 1980s are finished, this will seriously be the Ultimate Collection! Many, many thanks, John! |

biggest_fan_K wrote: So what do i do with the links? Theres way to much to read. Can you tell me what they say? I mean, that stuff isn't available right? So how do i collect ALL that? The clue is in the title. It is a discography. You read it - you will find out what Queen material is 'available'. You don't read it and you will never know. Talk about being spoon-fed! link Guardian Unlimited home School leavers lack basic skills, say universities Universities are dismayed by the poor levels of literacy and numeracy among school leavers who arrive in higher education expecting to be "spoon-fed", according to a new study. Tutors at 16 universities - including Oxford and Cambridge - complained that many school leavers lacked a good grip of grammar and had a "fear of numbers". ...Focus groups of 250 lecturers and admissions tutors found that increasing amounts of time were being lost at the beginning of degree courses in remedial work, ranging from maths to essay writing. "Remedial maths courses are on offer and the department has employed a learning officer to help with 'how to learn'," one tutor told the Nuffield study. Another said: "No actual civil engineering is done in the first semester, and the second year material has now moved to the third year." Comments on written work included: "They cut and paste essays from the web. Reading books is a skill which has been lost." An admissions tutor at a "selecting" university said: "I was able to skim the cream of candidates, but even they do not necessarily know how to use an apostrophe." Physics admissions tutors complained: "They can't even write in sentences. Their spelling is appalling. They can't be understood ... they graduate with a 2:1 but they still can't spell or write English." And from biology admissions tutors: "Elementary maths is missing. They can't put decent sentences together" and "Students hate numbers, they're scared stiff of numbers." |

Yeah, clicking on one link at a time... that must be rough. |

John should record the Ultimate Collection CD and put it on Rapidshare for those who don't want to read! He should read it like in poetry!! Take care |
biggest_fan_K 11.02.2006 19:01 |
Alright now i see. Ty, oh and what Bobby_brown said i completely agree with that idea! |

Bump for ol' times' sake. With some "new" demos floating around the hub and elsewhere, it might be good for people to consult this as to where they come from... |

Awesome work, John & Lester. Truly a worthwhile thread. Let me know when the Audio book (read by John Stuart with Lester as the voice of Freddie) is available. |

Another bump because Serry pointed out that the 2005 section wasn't included. And maybe at some point a 2006 section? Well, we only have three weeks left of the year... |
