I never thought I would say this, but I feel ashamed of being a Queen fan. I was in their Barcelona show, and all I can say is that it was pathetic. Why the hell they had to include a set of Free songs? Why this tour? Why Paul Rodgers? Brian and Taylor have gone insane. John is definetly the only one who keeps dignity and deserves my respect. After Innuendo, all they have done is fill their pockets with Freddie's memories. Please, Brian, stop this comedy. |

Of for fucks sake- you boring tart! You have a perfect thread for this kind of moaning- 7 pages of utter crap entitled "Hallo......it's not Queen" You can add your deep insight in there... Many (most) ppl enjoy the shows. Why would they stop them than? Because you didn't like it? I'm affraid no-one gives a flying toss... I understand that not evrybody have to love the whole thing, but the n-th exactly the same thread is just TOO FUCKING MUCH! |

Boring tart?? Flying toss?? You boys across the sea speak a little different than we do. |

Put it other way- YOU boys (and girls) across the sea speak a little different than... the rest of the world... ;) You have to admit- American English is something really special... ;) PS And I wasn't serious with the "tart". Was at the very same moment watching TV (some old program) and someone used it- so I wrote it as well, knowing it's pretty old-fashioned :) |

akan 22.04.2005 10:22 |
i don't waste my time with people who tell shit about this tour. It's VERY strange that you are telling shit after you attended one show.ALL the musicians (myself included) that i know that attended one show at least were very happy of the concert and told me that it was one of the best concerts they ever saw in their life. So there is a VERY STRANGE thing that you don't find this tour great. I unhappy to see that exist people that don't like and don't understand music like you. |
IvoDutch 22.04.2005 10:43 |
You must hate a lot of people then, if a couple of guys that decide to do a tour upset you! Sure - you have the right to think all this but it has been discussed so many times the last couple of months. If you don't like the tour then post in the other forums where you can talk about the "good old days". Stop spoiling the fun of the people who are excited about the tour. Get a life and do something positive with it. |

Let's face it, Leech, the only reason that you are upset is because Brian and Roger aren't doing things the way YOU want them do things. Taking this so seriously as to say you are ashamed (very strong word for a simple situation) shows that you are overdramatizing things. |

.....Holy fuck, dude. What the hell's happening over here? |

I do not belive that you were on Barcelona show... no one with normal mindset could say that their shows suck! I mean, many people on this forum are bashing their tour, but if you were actualy on the concert, you could see, that people are having FUN, cheering and waving and singing and beeing ovejoyed! *Just realx and have fun!* To me it was definitely the best concert I have ever been to!!! You can see Queen !!LIVE!! This is probably our last chance so you could atleast apprechiate this. I also can´t stand the fucking philosphic critics and reviews... It seems like many people forgot how to enjoy themselves... |

It is NOT ONLY a QUEEN TOUR.. It's Queen feat. Paul Rodgers. If you don't like him or his songs then stay home and go on listening your Queen albums. Paul Rodgers has great stuff and his voice with Queen songs is quite good.. so stop complaining. |

This Tiger just loves the new tour, Antwerpen was brilliant! Ok perhaps the Brixton gig wasn't as good as the concerts are right now but can you blame them for that, I don't think so, the more they play the beter they become! Tiger |

It is sad that you can not allow some room for artist such as these to do what they were born to do, play music. Paul has paid his dues and is one fine music man. Brian & Roger have as well paid their dues, life does go one, even if you can not accept it. Music should never be allowed to die, if we laid the music to rest with the artist just think how much you would have missed. An Artist just wants to do what they love, make music. Too many people are approaching these concerts the wrong way. I still have over a week to wait but it seems obvious to me that if you are going to compare these concerts with those with Freddie and John you are bound to end up disappointed. As someone fortunate enough to have seen Queen in all their glory, I know that nothing will beat those (sadly only) four concerts I attended between 1982 and 1986. I have seen many excellent concerts by other acts (including Paul Rodgers Bad Co) and nothing has ever come close. But I didn't go to those concerts to compare with Queen or I would have ended up disappointed. I am approaching this tour the same. I do not expect a Queen concert. Just a damn good one. |
Mr. Scully 28.04.2005 08:19 |
I don't agree that ANYTHING with Freddie MUST be better than ANYTHING with Paul Rodgers. For example I'd prefer to see concerts from the 2005 Queen+PR tour than from the 1984 Works tour. |

pirrakitas 28.04.2005 08:51 |
In my opinion, The Works tour has the best setlist since the News Of The World tour and and awesome light show. Saying that the QPR 2005 tour is better is a bit too much :-). Maybe better than the Magic Tour, but The Works tour ... no way Jose. By the way, I fully support Queen+PR! |
Fenderek 28.04.2005 09:00 |
Set list was good- agreed!!! But the performances (usually) weren't- and the synths and electric drum- grose! I actually prefer the new tour to both Magic and Works. But if you asked to me to chose between Crazy Tour or NOTW and Q+PR... Well, that's a different story... :) |
Mr. Scully 28.04.2005 09:13 |
It's not only about setlist, it's pretty much about the overall sound. I'm not excited about the Q+PR setlist but they rock. |
alibat 28.04.2005 09:33 |
The best concert I went to was Leeds 1982. Unfortunately I'm not old enough to have seen earlier tours. Technology is improving all the time. I would expect the sound to improve. I've nothing against the tour. I think Paul Rodgers is an excellent singer, one of the best. However, Freddie was the ultimate showman who transformed a Queen concert into something truly special. I also think it will take more than a few months for Roger and the new bassist to develop anything like the same excellence that he had with John. No disrespect meant but working with the same bassist for god knows how many years, you must develop some hell of a rapport. |
