Depends whether he was sober or not I suppose.
Video shoots probably get preety boring after hours and hours.
He smiles in a few of them though - Great Pretender, Break Free, um, um, One Vision.
The rest of the time he's trying to look 'smouldering' or is busy playing drums.
yeah, didnt he say somehwere he found video shoots the most tedious things ever? and found it hard nt to get pissed?!(or is that just TOTP?)the 'smouldering' look works fine for me though!

i got another question, what is he doing with his mouth in almost all the videos, is he counting the beats? On talking to himself to stay in tune? I know allot of drummers who do that, i just find it kind of weird because he does it almost all the time, its pretty cool though because its sort of his "thing".

I dont know ! I've noticed that too, a long time ago and I've never understood what he's doing. First I thought he was just talking to himself, but now I dont think that's it... I guess it was just an habit he had, to stay "focused" maybe, or maybe he just wanted to give himself a little style... but I agree it was cool since it was his "thing"

Maybe he doesn't smile because he is too buzy (not counting) breathing while he is drumming.
I have friends who play drums and they breath to help give them a feel for the rythem and keep them in beat.
I'm a drummer, and I count to keep the beat too. It's just a rhythm thing. I talk to myself too, but that has nothing to do with rhythm whatsoever! LoL.
Lol, I bet he's just trying to look cool, or something...or, like dear Yogurt said, he's trying to breathe to keep rythym. I'm a drummer by ear, and know that it's a great way to keep the beat, by breathing.
