To many fans, Innuendo has been considered one of Queen's Greatest Albums. According the Top Tens.com Top Ten Queen songs, The Show Must Go On and Innuendo remain some of Queen's most popular songs among fans. I think it's a very good album and uniquely Queen in the sense that they were doing something new, even during times of struggles with Freddie's poor and decreasing health. I'd like to hear what you think about Innuendo. Here is my review of songs: Innuendo - 10/10 - An Epic Song I'm Going Slightly Mad - 8/10 - A good and well created song Headlong - 10/10 - Fantastic Rocker I Can't Live With You - 10/10 - An Excellent track Don't Try So Hard - 9/10 - A Clever piece Ride the Wild Wind - 8/10 - A Good song All God's People - 9/10 - Clever idea These are the Days of Our Lives - 10/10 - Fantastic! Delilah - 7/10 - Hmm, Quite Good The Hitman - 10/10 - Great Bijou - 10/10 - Amazing The Show Must Go On - 10/10 - A Great Climax |

I think Innuendo is one of Queens best albums for sure! My opinion about the songs are quite similar to yours: Innuendo - A true masterpiece, i really adore this song, and ive always been a fan of queen's heavier work 10/10 Im Going Slightly Mad - A nice and fun song (in a way) i like the lyrics and really LOVE the video (ofc this haven't anything to do with the quality of the song) 7/10 Headlong - A solid rocker, but for some reason i can't get really into this song. 6/10 I Can't Live With You - As you said an excellent track, i love the ending, but i think the rocks retake is MUCH better, thats how this song should have been on the album, but still 8/10 Ride The Wild Wind - a great song, with a nice "fell" to it, i like it when Freddie uses a more baritonal voice 7/10 All Gods People - A nice idea on overall cool song, but i think the piano part is a bit out of place 6/10 These are the days of our life - i love the song, very calm and relaxing plus it got one of Brians best guitar solos on it 8/10 Delilah - It seems that most people disagree with me about this song, personally i think it's a cool and very sweet song.. ok it about a cat, but i mean Freddie really liked cats so i guess thats how he wanted it lol .. , 9/10 The Hitman - Another great rocker and IMO better than Headlong 8/10 Bijou - An amazing song, some of Brians best guitar work for sure and some of Freddies best vocal performances 10/10 The Show Must Go On - I think most would agree with me about this song, truly a great song to end the album, indeed one of Queens best tunes 10/10 |

Yes, I think the album is good, but at the same time I have mixed feelings about some songs.... Innuendo - 10/10 Best song since 1974. I'm Going Slightly Mad - 8/10 Great song Headlong - 7/10 Great rocker, yes, but goes on too long I Can't Live With You - 7/10 Good song, but nothing I will really love Don't Try So Hard - 9/10 A very memorable moment Ride the Wild Wind - 7/10 Funny idea, yet not always good All God's People - 6,9/10 Not sure what to think of it, but it sounds nice These Are the Days of Our Lives - 7/10 Nice ballad, somewhat sleepy Delilah - 5/10 No comment... The Hitman - 5/10 Sorry, boring and too long Bijou - 6/10 Yes good guitar solo, but doesn't touch me The Show Must Go On - 9/10 Terrific song, just a little overplayed. |

Innuendo the best queen album since the 70's. Innuendo- 10/10 (epic song from freddie, and lryics from roger) slightly mad- 10/10 (freddie at his best) Headlong - 5/10 (not a bad rocker, but not great either) Can't live with you- 7/10 (good pop song) don't try too hard - 10/10 ( the perfect ballad) ride the wild wind - 8/10 ( good song from roger) all gods people - 8/10 (good, love the middle piano bit. lryics could have been better) these are the days- 10/10 (perfect) delilah - 5/10 (not as bad as the so called cool people say, Quite charming actually) the hitman- 5/10 ( a song the so called "cool people" like because it's heavy, It's no better than average) bijou - 9/10 (they should have done more stuff like this) the show must go on- 10/10 (classic) |
Micrówave 28.05.2010 11:23 |
Innuendo- 10/10 slightly mad- 5/10 (Freddie never hitting a high note. Never happened before.) Headlong - 1/10 (Overplaying on guitar, shit lyrics, hoop diddy was it's downfall) Can't live with you- 4/10 (Again, Brian the Overplayer, a gated drum set? Supposed to just be the snare. Whoops.) don't try so hard - 4/10 ( The most synthesized Queen song ever. Shit lyrics again.) ride the wild wind - 3/10 ( When the drummer, who wrote the song, uses a drum machine I'm out.) all gods people - 1/10 (Proof that Freddie had no vocal training. Vocal notes are all over the place, not in key, shit lyrics.) these are the days- 7/10 (Use real congas, Roger. Those sound like ass. But the 2nd best track off the album) delilah - 1/10 (as bad as the so called cool people say. If you like it, you're simply not cool. Shit lyrics.) the hitman- 2/10 ( The return of Brian the Overplayer. And the guitar sounds terrible. Way too processed. Shit lyrics.) bijou - 4/10 (A guitar solo turned into a song? Very repetitive, after a couple of listens.) the show must go on- 7/10 (The sympathy song. Not bad, but a tough listen even now.) |
jamster1111 28.05.2010 12:26 |
I think if you had to choose the weakest point on the album it would be all god's people or ride the wild wind. Songs like innuendo, the show must go on, these are the days of our lives, and i'm going slightly mad are just pure genius |
Holly2003 28.05.2010 12:37 |
Two excellent songs Innuendo these are the days Four good songs the show must go on- bijou I can't live with you all gods people The rest are below average slightly mad headlong don't try so hard ride the wild wind delilah the hitman |
rubens 28.05.2010 13:55 |
If it was reliased in the 70's, it would be a average album, but after the ones they reliased in the 80's, Innuendo really shines as the best Queen work in 10 years. |

My opinions - and everyone is entitled to theirs: Innuendo - 10/10 - An Epic Song - I agree 100%; one of the best Queen tracks ever I'm Going Slightly Mad - 8/10 - A good and well created song - Agreed again. Headlong - 4/10 - Fantastic Rocker - I disagree; lame rocker, IMO I Can't Live With You - 5/10 - An Excellent track - I agree IF you are referring to the single version; I am not very enamored of the album version Don't Try So Hard - 3/10 - A Clever piece; I disagree; mediocre, at best Ride the Wild Wind - 3/10 - A Good song; I disagree; mediocre, at best All God's People - 4/10 - Clever idea; Maybe, but not well-executed; c ompare this to "Let Me Live" to see what I mean. These are the Days of Our Lives - 8/10 - Fantastic! - I agree, but not 10/10 Delilah - 3/10 - Hmm, Quite Good - I disagree; mediocre, at best The Hitman - 6/10 - Great - I agree, but not 10/10 Bijou - 7/10 - Amazing- I agree, but not 10/10 The Show Must Go On - 10/10 - A Great Climax - I agree; another classic Queen track All in all, this was a nice way to end their career - they should have stopped here, without recording Made in Heaven. Again this is just my opinion, and I tend to judge harshly, based primarily on the band's previous output - with 10/10 for Opera; 9/10 for Heart Attack, etc. |

Innuendo 10/10 - My favourite Queentrack I'm going slightly mad 6/10 - Very Freddie. If he wouldn't be sick, he could use it for a solo album Headlong 7/10 - An average quasi rock song I can't live with you 6/10 - I like the rock's retake on Queen Rocks better Don't try so hard 10/10 - Great song, very emotional Ride the wild wind 7/10 - It is still growing to me All God's people 8/10 - Can't get enough of the Queen harmony's These are the days 9/10 - Obvisously Delilah 6/10 - Just like slightly mad, would have worked better for Freddie's never released solo album The hitman 8/10 - Great heavy guitar song Bijou 7/10 - Original song The show must go on 10/10 - wonderful..... |

Def one of my favourite Queen albums, outstanding vocals from Mr Mercury, sounds like he really gave it everything. His vocals changed as he got older and his illness progressed and they sound outstanding on this album. Production on some of the tracks could have been better and I'm not a big fan of programed drums, Roger should have used the real deal. Innuendo - 10/10 - Masterpiece, personal favourite I'm Going Slightly Mad - 8/10 - I love it, it's different. Headlong - 7/10 - Great pace, awesome vocals and it used to be a favourite when I was younger I Can't Live With You - 9/10 - Big fan of this one, although I prefer the Rocks retake Don't Try So Hard - 7/10 - Nice song Ride the Wild Wind - 9/10 - I love this song, real drums would have been better though All God's People - 9/10 - Fab These are the Days of Our Lives - 10/10 - Beautiful Delilah - 7/10 - Well I like it, take it for what it is The Hitman - 6/10 - It's alright Bijou - 7/10 - Nice idea The Show Must Go On - 10/10 - Goose bumps every time. Listen to the power and passion, awesome |

Question for Mr Microwave ,are you really a "Queen" fan or not ? You constantly moan about the band, rate their songs as low as1/10.I really dont think that "Queen" are your number one band at all.Nothing wrong with that mate , but you really should cut dowm on the medication and come up and smell the roses !! |

I suppose not, but i find it quite strange that people would take the time to slag of certain songs.Rubbish Paul Rodgers, who is without a doubt a great singer and did a excellant job on the two Queen PR tours. Innuendo was a fine album and you can bet a very difficult and emotional album to make with Freddies health as it was.You should remember that when dishing out 1/10 for certain tracks. |

Innuendo 10/10 (epic! always loved the progressive rock side of Queen) I'm Going Slightly Mad 8/10 (ok tune. theatrical song and that's why I like it) Headlong 7/10 (it's repetitive but the chorus hook is actually nice - btw I hate the drum machine in this song) I Can't Live With You 7/10 (it gets boring but again the chorus hook is nice) Don't Try So Hard 8/10 (nice vocal work by Freddie, and ok ballad) Ride the Wild Wind 6/10 (boring...) All God's People 6/10 (yeah this song has a nice idea but the results is horrible when comparing to "Let Me Live") These Are the Days of Our Lives 7/10 (never a fan of this song. why not the real congas???) Delilah 7/10 (I don't hate this song as many does. it's listenable but that's all) The Hitman 6/10 (I haven't ever liked this song. the weakest part of the album in my opinion) Bijou 9/10 (pure gold, very beautiful!!!) The Show Must Go On 10/10 (classic and a very very fine tune) |

Which is better? The Miracle or Innuendo? I would say that both albums are equal though sone Fans really slagged off The Miracle and then surprising slagged off Innuendo. I'd like to ask people such as Microwave what do you prefer? Party or The Hitman Delilah or My Baby Does Me etc |

Mixed Album - Some Classics, some poor tracks. Inconsistent. Innuendo - 10/10 - Epic I'm Going Slightly Mad - 8/10 - Fun and mysterious Headlong - 8.5/10 - Prefer single version. A great rock and roll song I Can't Live With You - 8.5/10 - Never mind the absence of acoustic drums, the song is still great. Don't Try So Hard - 8/10 - Good, powerful and emotional. Ride the Wild Wind - 7.5/10 - Okay, it drags on a bit long All God's People - 7.5/10 - Definate potential, but didn't quite work out. These are the Days of Our Lives - 10/10 - Very piogant track The Hitman - 7/10 - Potential, but the song drags on and feels tierd. Delilah - 6/10 - Not much of a track. Bijou - 8/10 - Good The Show Must Go On -10/10 - Great way to end an album |

Innuendo - 10/10 (incredible song) I'm Going Slightly Mad — 10/10 (well made) Headlong — 7/10 (quickly get bored) I Can't Live With You — 9/10 (very good rocker) Don't Try So Hard — 7/10 (not best Queen's prog rock) Ride the Wild Wind — 9/10 (another one good Roger's song) All God's People — 6/10 (very sudden intro) These are the Days of Our Lives - 10/10 (very touching song, The Cross and Roger's solo versions are very good too) Delilah — 4/10 (awful as stand-alone song, but not so bad as part of whole album) The Hitman — 6/10 (too heavy, too loud and not too masterly) Bijou — 8/10 (slow and a little bit painful) The Show Must Go On — 10/10 (good ending of album, true goodbye of Queen's era) Lost Opportunity — 7/10 (good blues) Innuendo (Explosive Version) — 10/10 (very good addition to song's idea) I Can't Live With You (Malouf Mix) — 9/10 (cool remix) I Can't Live With You (1997 Rocks Re-Take) — 10/10 (best version of this song) |

One of Queen's most consistent albums, in my opinion. It's my favourite album, though I find it very sad. Innuendo - Great song. The one that turned me into a Queen fan. Love it. 10/10 I'm Going Slightly Mad - I don't like it very much, but it's a good song. 8/10 Headlong - One of my favourite rock songs. Love its rhythm. 10/10 I Can't Live With You - I really like it. 10/10 Don't Try So Hard - I love it. 10/10 Ride the Wild Wind - A good one. 8/10 All God's People - It's ok. 7/10 These are the Days of Our Lives - I never liked it. 6/10 Delilah - I'm very fond of it, though it's not so good. 7/10 The Hitman - So so. 7/10 Bijou - I didn't like it at the beginning but now I think it's great. 9/10 The Show Must Go On - Amazing music, amazing lyrics, amazing vocal performance. 10+/10 |

Innuendo: 10/10 It's just so amazing, the variations, the lyrics, the everything I'm going slightly mad: ? I'm not even sure I've listened to that song, even though I have the CD in front of me right now Headlong: 10/10 Amazing performance both from Freddie and the others in Queen I can't live with you: 7/10 I find this song a bit boring, I'm sad to say Don't try so hard: 10/10 The voice! And the truth in the lyrics... Just amazing! Ride the wild wind: 8/10 Good song All God's people: ? Not sure I've listened to that song yet These are the days of our lives: 10/10 I love this song! Delilah: 10/10 Being a cat owner/cat lover myself, I find this song really cute :) The hitman: 8/10 Good song Bijou: 10/10 One of my absolute favourites with Queen! Just epic! The show must go on: 10/10 I just can't hear this song too much! (I have actually had it on repeat in my phone for a whole day, not just once, but twice!) This song is probably the best song ever made by Queen, and it's so sad Freddie never got to sing it on stage :( |
Bigfish 10.12.2010 03:42 |
Innuendo was a belated return to form after the grab-bag singles orientation of the 80's. It was the first album since Jazz to actually feel like an album - with a beginning, middle and end. It's not perfect, Headlong, the Hitman, All gods people and Delilah all grate for various reasons but elsewhere Queen's Rock and Pop sensibilities were firing on all cylinders. The ridiculously wonderful title track is really the only time they have revisited the 'Rhapsody' formula and is alot of fun. 'Slightly Mad' is the band at it's 'tongue in cheek' vaudeville best. 'Bijou' is a marvelous song reversal with the voice taking the place of the solo and vice-versa. Together with 'The Show must go on' it's a genuinely moving coda to the album. On a slightly more flippant note what is all this subjective 'mean' song rating nonsense. I couldn't give a monkey's if someone thinks a song is 9.4527 out of ten or something. Why don't you tell us how you feel about the song (or songs). Are you unable to articulate ? Are you not capable of prose ? |

I think Innuendo is Queen's greatest album, but maybe because it's the last one before Freddie died. When I became a Queen fan, I started with many different albums, but didn't buy Innuendo until towards the end of my collection. It was an incredible listen. I don't think the general public appreciates this album for the masterpiece it is, but real Queen fans do. It's very much Freddie saying "goodbye" to all of us. When I get people into Queen, I'm always careful to make sure 'Innuendo' is the last album they get. Then, they can truly appreciate it. And Freddie, IMO, sounds the best he has ever sounded on this album. From beginning to end. I cannot wait to purchase the re-issue!!! |
Oli4burggraa 22.12.2010 04:23 |
To me Innuendo is their second-best album. Only Queen II is better IMHO. Innuendo - 10/10 - BoRhap, Black Queen, Innuendo. My top three Queen songs. It's diverse but still a whole - I could talk for hours about how much I love this song. I'm Going Slightly Mad - 8/10 - A very creative and somewhat funny song. Headlong - 8/10 - Nice rocker, but a bit standard. Great for cheering someone up though - just make them listen to Brian singing this song and they'll be rofl'ing within a minute. Seriously Brian, you just can't sing these kinds of songs. I Can't Live With You - 9/10 - I don't get why some people hate this song. More Queen than most of their songs from the eighties. Don't Try So Hard - 7/10 - The lyrics are good and the song is nice, but I don't like it as much as some of you seem to do. Ride the Wild Wind - 10/10 - Maybe Queen's most underrated song. I just cannot describe how much I like it. All God's People - 7/10 - Just like with DTSH. The idea is good, but I don't really like the song that came out of it. Thank God that Montserrat didn't rape it though. These are the Days of Our Lives - 10/10 - If you don't like this song, you're crazy. Delilah - 6/10 - Cute, but not really what I think of when someone says 'Queen'. The Hitman - 8/10 - A good rocker, though a bit overrated. Has the same effect on me when Bri sings it as Headlong. Bijou - 9/10 - Love it. The Show Must Go On - 9/10 - Queen's most underrated and at the same time most overrated song. Should have been #1 for months, but it doesn't have that jizzy effect on me that many of you seem to get out of it. Lost Oppurtunity - 7/10 - Emotional bluesy song. However, the time spent recording this should have been spent writing more stuff for Freddie to sing. |
