What are the best fight scenes in any movie? Name the movie and the characters who are fighting! |
Raf 15.11.2006 16:19 |
Nerdy or not, these are my favorites: Yoda vs Palpatine - Star Wars Episode III: Return of Sith Anakin Skywalker vs Obi-Wan Kenobi - Star Wars Episode III: Return of Sith Neo vs Smith (and HUNDREDS of clones) - Matrix Reloaded I also love the final battle in the last The Lord Of The Rings movie, but that's more of a war battle than a fight. |

the duel fought by luke skywalker and darth vader in the empire strikes back, just might be the best ever. |
Nathan 15.11.2006 16:31 |
The fist fight between John Wayne and Victor McLaglen in The Quiet Man. |
Raf 15.11.2006 16:31 |
Danny00 wrote: the duel fought by luke skywalker and darth vader in the empire strikes back, just might be the best ever.I prefer the one in the last movie... But I like the one in Empire Strikes Back just because of that famous quote... Darth Vader said:I am your father.I couldn't resist... XD |
Poo, again 15.11.2006 16:34 |
The scene in Napoleon Dynamite where Napoleon slaps Kip. |
Freya is quietly judging you. 15.11.2006 16:42 |
Hmm.. The one that jumped to mind was the one in Shaun Of The Dead.. I mean what can be better than dancing around, killing zombies in a pub to the tune of Don't Stop Me Now? |

I will always triumph over evil-doers wrote: The fist fight between John Wayne and Victor McLaglen in The Quiet Man.this fight is brilliant though comedic in nature . john ford very much deserved the academy award he won for directing this film. |

Bruce Lee vs. Chuck Norris, of course, in Return of the Dragon. |
Lester Burnham 15.11.2006 17:54 |
I can't recall what movie it is, but it stars John Cusack and James Spader, and they have a fight. It's only my favorite because I love John Cusack and James Spader. Apart from that, the "fight" between Keith Moon and Pete Townshend in The Kids Are Alright, resulting in a torn shirt sleeve and bruised egos. |

<font color="lime">KillerKing840 wrote: Nerdy or not, these are my favorites: Yoda vs Palpatine - Star Wars Episode III: Return of Sith Anakin Skywalker vs Obi-Wan Kenobi - Star Wars Episode III: Return of SithYes that is Nerdy. But I thought Darth Maul vs Obi Wan and Qui Gonn was far better than Yoda vs. Palpatine. And what about Captain Kirk vs. The Gorn? Apollo Creed vs Rocky part II? Jet Li vs. everyone in that last movie of his? (Name?) although Chuck Norris vs. Bruce Lee (as stated earlier) is one of the best ever. |

Might as well give it a shot. Guile VS Bison Street Fighter the live action movie. Lui Kang VS Shang Tsung:Mortal Kombat movie. Connor VS Kurgan:Highlander A-ko VS B-ko:Project A-ko. Those are just from my POV or opinion of how good I thought they were. Otherwise,I just thought i'd try it. |
Sergei. 15.11.2006 18:43 |
Freddie VS. Christopher Lambert (McCleod) - Princes of the Universe Video. :D |
Mr.Jingles 15.11.2006 18:49 |
This is the best fight scene of all time... link Make sure you watch it until the very end. |
Knute 15.11.2006 19:02 |
John Matrix and Bennett(Arnold and Vernon Wells) from the movie Commando. An over the top and delightfully cheesy classic fight scene. "Let off some steam Bennett" |
Micrówave 15.11.2006 19:10 |
ah yes, the Arnold one-lines are true cheese. My favorite was with the knife. "Stick around" |

In Titanic, where Jack (Leo DiCaprio) and Rose (Kate Winslet) are in the water, there's a part where Jack punches this dude three times. And in Fight Club, well, basically every scene in that. Especially at the end where Ed Norton is fighting Brad Pitt (Tyler) and you see the security camera shots... almost spooky. :O |
My Melancholy Blues 15.11.2006 19:25 |
SpidermanII Spiderman vs Dr. Octopus(multi tentacled man) Star Wars episodeIII return of Sith Anakin Skywalker vs Obi Wan Yoda vs Palpatine |

Ooh! The film Troy has some AWESOME fight scenes in it! I love that one! Especially when Achilles dies. :'( Sad. But still awesome. |
KillerQueen840 15.11.2006 22:40 |
I like all the scenes with V fighting in V for Vendetta. And Dracula vs. Van Helsing in Van Helsing. Ah, I'm no expert, so pretty much every fight scene in almost any movie is pretty entertaining for me. Even if it's a sucky movie. :P |
Donna13 16.11.2006 00:39 |
"It's Raining Men" fight scene: Bridget Jones and her friends watch Daniel (Hugh Grant) and Mark (Colin Firth) go at it in a Greek restaurant, landing on people's dinners and ruining a birthday party, crashing through a window, etc. It was funny. |

akira kurosawa's the seven samurai is a film much of which is composed of breathtaking fight scenes. |

Rob Roy was a *shockingly* bad movie, but the end duel is pretty good. |
emrabt 16.11.2006 13:08 |
The 40 minutes of reconstructed "lost" bruce lee fight scenes from game of death are great, but most of it isnt in the movie its self. |
Danny00 16.11.2006 13:51 |
from the masterpiece that is saving private ryan, i will single out the scene in which melish as played by adam goldberg fights a german soldier. ofcourse melish is killed with a bayonet. its heartbreaking. |

When the ninja guy in Indiana Jones (Raiders of the Lost Ark i think) is showing off his skills with his sword, the crowd expect Indiana to show off too but he simply looks at him in a "I'm NOT in the mood" look, takes out his gun and shoots him. Priceless! But not much of a fight involved :P |
Queen are the Champions 16.11.2006 16:24 |
The final fight scene in BLADE! Blade vs. Frost. Starting with when Blade catches his sunglasses, to his final line to Frost "some mother f***ers are always trying to ice skate uphill" haha |

Priceless! But not much of a fight involved :PThat gun shot was originally not scripted on the movie. Instead Indiana Jones was supossed to fight the guy. When they were shooting the scene Harrison Ford decided to be a funny guy and shoot guy with the sword. Spielberg and Lucas thought it would be hilarious and kept it like that. |

Mr. jingles my understanding of the story is that harrison ford felt sick and wanted to go back to the hotel the production was staying at, so mr.spielberg came up with the scene that is in the film. |
Drowse1 17.11.2006 16:51 |
Have to agree with Music Man and say Bruce Lee v Chuck Norris in Return of the Dragon. Great fight choreography all through. And to show my age, John Wayne v Victor Mclaglen in The Quiet Man. They start in a field, brawl all the way into town, stopping off for a pint of guinness and then continue on into the countryside. Classic stuff. |
Queen are the Champions 17.11.2006 17:41 |
oh, and Mortal Kombat! Johnny Cage vs. Scorpion, and of course the final fight, Lou Kang vs. Shang Tsung. haha, classic. |

Mostly everyone in the crew had fallen ill due to food poisoning, with the exception of Spielberg whose diet consisted entirely of Spaghetti-O's. I have no idea from whom the idea was initially cast, though. |
