My mom and I were in the kitchen randomly singing Bohemian Rhapsody. When we got to the last line "any way the wind blows" the door opened by itself. At first we thought it was the wind, but it wasn't windy at all. And when it opened, I was standing right by it and I thought I saw the door knob turn. It was Freddie, I know it! |

Wow! That is freaky. I had something simalar happen to me, while I was working on our Nova the other day. I was singing Bohemian Rhapsody while dusting off the dash board. It was a gorgeous day out and it wasn't windy at all. When I got to the magic line, "Anyway the wind blows" it got really breezy out and the car door slammed shut on me. Wierd huh? Freddie is still around even if we don't know it!! :-) |

I've read a strange episode in a music magazine before. A few years ago, the Mick Rock photo exhibition was held in Tokyo and according to the staffs working there, two remarkably strange things happened just before Mick's coming, i.e. two bulbs which lighted up one of Freddie's photos suddenly burned out at the same time and a ladybug was found suddenly inside the glass case which sealed another Freddie's photo. They thought it was Freddie to surprise and welcome his old friend Mick... |

ive had strange encounters like this many many times but the only one that still really sticks out in my mind was a few months ago when my husband and i...along wit our youngest son....were drivin to his parents and we were listening to Classic Queen and when i stopped singin the cd player volume started goin up rapidly and neither one of us touched as my husband was driving , i of course then turned it down cuz my baby was in the back and it got very loud , but just as i turned it down and started talkin to my husband again it blasted back up again , i actually seen the volumes goin up , and JOKINGLY i said 'stop it Freddie' and it stopped.I dont think much to it but since ppl were posting their experiences id thought id post this.We both thought it was strange tho. Also whats cute but amazing too we will catch our 2 year old singin Queen songs word for word while we listen in the car. |

Those stories are amazing..I do believe them When I was crying about a video about Freddie's death, suddenly Don't stop me now started to play on the radio. I've had this some more times, for example when I was crying about a story I read about Freddie, a Queen song started to play on the radio. Maybe this is just coincidence.. |

This doesn't probably fit very well with the other stories, but I'll tell it anyway :) I once bought the FM Tribute DVD for some 20e and since I'm not a fan of non-Freddie releases, I was thinking for a long time whether I should buy it or not. Well, I decided to buy, but still wasn't convinced that it was the right decision. After that I went to play some gambling machines and played a game called Keno (you choose 2-5 cards and if they are among the dealed ones, you win). I chose four queens and surprisingly won a sum just under 20e :D |

Thats a pretty cool experience. Although I'm sure there are skeptics out there. This sort of thing isnt uncommon. I've never had one with Freddie, but i've had a similar experience. When i was about 7 my great grandmother had passed away. A year before that, she gave me this little wind up alarm clock where the alarm didnt ring anymore and it didnt even keep the time right. But i used to play with it whenever I played dress up adn things when i went to her house. And because it meant alot to me, i kept it on my dresser. When I was 8, exactly a year later on Midnight the anniversary of her death, the alarm itself just started ringing. Now this clock had not worked properly in about 4 years. It rang for a good minute in a half, and then it stopped. And i couldnt get it to work again after that... All it was was a trinket that i kept around to remember my great grandmother by. And i believe that that year after her death and ringing that clock was her way of telling me she had her eye on me and everything was alright. |

I had one of my own pretty freaky; about 12 years ago, I was with my mom in a hotel room at the seaside, Freddie was playing on the cassette player at the time and my mom said something mean or not nice about him, I can't even remember what. And the cassette player actually flew on the floor. I just raised an eyebrow, amused, because I was convinced even at the time that he is around, but my mum never said anything bad about him again. Not out of fear, I'm sure, but kinda respect. |

I talk to him, too. Have been for half of my life, actually and I can assure you I'm not mentally ill. I know he listens, I know he cares. He's always been there for me, jumping out of nowhere on the tv/radio, whenever I needed most. It happened on countless occasions. I remember once, I had passed the exam for the best high-school in my town, it was difficult such an exam at that time in my country, and I open the radio cos I felt something, and here he was, "I've paid my dues.."- the Champions. The minute Freddie finished, my father entered with a champaigne: I had ranked first of 180 kids!! And no, I dont't believe in coincidences. Never had, even before he entered my life. |

I couldn't wear any of my QUEEN badges obviously, so i put one on the inside of my bag and wrote I love Freddie on my hip in biro, coz i usually have it written on my hand lol. anyways, i waited all night for a QUEEN song to play... the music was mostly shit, all r'n'b and techno crap. Then, towards the end of the night, the DJ said "ok, we've had a request for some Queen"... turns out my friend had asked for a song. We are The Champions started playing. The hall went off, my entire year level was singing along to Freddie's voice... I was almost crying because his vocal work in that song is absolutely perfect. And I just knew that Freddie was there that night, just as I had hoped.. he was watching over me while we all screamed our lungs out to his lyrics... it was an awesome moment. love emm xx |

I think I had another Freddie encounter. I was doing my chores and listening to Queen as usual. When "These are the Days of Our Lives' came on, I started to cry, to the point that I had to sit down. Just after I sat down, I got very warm and tingly and all of a sudden stopped crying. I took a deep breath and started to work again when "No One But You" came on. I was fine until the middle of the song, then I started crying again. That warm and tingly feeling returned again and I was calm in a matter of seconds. Normally, it takes me awhile to calm down from crying. I think it was Freddie trying to tell me something. It was weird, like "I'm always here and will always love you." You know what I mean. What do you think? |

Hm..this thread is very interesting. I am amazed that many people shed tears when they listen to some songs, which is quite understandable. although I just think, Freddie was the type who wouldnt want you to shed tears over his/Queens music, but embrace it and enjoy it. We musnt forget that he was a fighter till the end and never looked back, always put on a smile for the world. So..why shed tears, when we could be celebrating his life with smiles and words of love? Simply put, prehaps its best that we dont get too emotional so some songs. Although, this is just my opinion and I'd hate to offend people. Enjoy the music and the encounters you may have with Mr.Mercury |

My neighbour looks like Freddie Mercury with his 'stache xD And I saw a fat Jim Hutton look-a-like in the waiting room for my sister's physical... it was hard to hold in my laughter, cos he kept playing with his mustache |

i had a freddie moment last night/this morning!! so last night i was stressing heaps about my pyschology exam results, and i was talking to freddie and asking him to watch over me when i got them (today!) and help me out. the second i stopped talking, the song on my CD changed over to (i swear i didnt know this was coming!) "I Want It All". I take that as a sign that freddie heard me and was gonna help me get what i really wanted, ie. good exam results. and then, this morning, i was in the bathroom and my queen mix was playing in my bedroom. and i said to myself "whatever song comes on when i next go into my room, that's the song that determines how my day is gonna go". and i didnt really know the order of the CD so i was expecting boh rhap or something... anyhoo, i walked in and guess what song came on?? .... "I WANT IT ALL"!! is that a sign or what?? c'mon, cant get much better than that! It just proved to me that freddie is watching over me, and listening to me! love you angel. xx |

When I went to my room the other night I had just had an argument with my mum and I was laying on my bed and I swear it felt like someone was cuddling me, hopefully Fred... |

This will sound very cheesy, but I don't think of Freddie as being dead. I mean, never. I like to think he's around me, but I think, "Wait, if Freddie was here, why would he be wasting his time on us? Shouldn't he be off visiting Mary Austin, Jim Hutton, or the rest of Queen?" Then I get sad. :( |
