How you read this.... "Paul Rodgers closed out his year-long run with Brian May and Roger Taylor on Thursday, April 13th, as the Queen + PR tour wrapped in Vancouver, British Columbia. Fans got to see Rodgers do songs made famous by the late Freddie Mercury, which might have been the hardest job in rock, and it's made him think about who could do his career justice. The singer told us that he's not going away anytime soon, but when that day comes, he knows who would be a good fit to replace him: "I think maybe Sheryl Crow could do the job. She's a great singer, she's got a lot of heart and soul, and she's a great songwriter, too. But I plan on sticking around, don't you worry!" SOme say he means S. Crow should replace him in Queen? I do not. I think he means that if he ever retires S.C. would be a fitting replacement. What you think??? Even queenonline says "Queen & Sheryl Crow". Am I the only one who has a different opinion?? "Make his career justice" - he got more than a career BEFORE QPR didn't he? As English is not my native tongue cmon you experts what you think???? |

I would rather see Lance Armstrong sing... |

I read it the same way you did. I don't think he's putting Sheryl Crow forward as a possible replacement for him in Q+PR or that he's suggesting that he's going to be sticking around Brian & Roger as Q+PR. The article suggests that Q+PR has finished with the US tour & that Rodgers has now started booking solo gigs. It also asks him who he thinks could replace him, as he has supposedly been in the position to replace Freddie. |
zaiga 19.04.2006 16:51 |
Yeah, I think the comment is taken out of context a bit. He's talking about who could replace *him*, not who could follow him up as Queen's frontman. |

I was kinda hoping we'd see william hung... Then we'd get to hear Roger say, "Oh God this is fucking nuts." |

this proves my point even more: Paul Rodgers is fucking retarded |
SomebodyWhoLoves 19.04.2006 19:36 |
This just makes me dislike Paul Rodgers more and more. The guy should be grateful and honored to be the lead singer of Queen, and just do his damn job, and not make dumb statements like this one! The thought of Sheryl Crow fronting Queen makes me want to truly cry! |
zone 19.04.2006 19:43 |
I'm pretty sure we don't have the whole story here. |

It's obvious to me that Paul here is talking about who might replace him as Freddie's replacement for Queen. There is no other possible context. That is why his statement is asinine. |
zone 19.04.2006 19:58 |
There's no way Brian and Roger would ever let something as radicalise like Crow fronting Queen . |
teleman 19.04.2006 20:46 |
I Paul was speaking about his career before Q+PR and who he thought would be a good person to sing his songs. He knows he doesn't speak for Queen. Learn to read people. |
turini 19.04.2006 20:49 |
i think he is making fun of her some how lol maybe he is saying only one fit for position is him and he plans to stay |

Christina Aguilera should be next. She has a very good range and depth of voice. I think she could keep up with Freddie. I mean, she is the only one who can pull enough octaves out of her to sing like Freddie. Her personality is also similar to Freddie's, so she could work the crowd as well. I would love to see them both on stage, I wonder who would get more stage presence. That would be a good show. |

I am not kidding. Just listen to her voice. I am not a fan of her, but I listen to a lot of bands, singers, etc, and I must tell you: This girl has range and depth of voice. She could sing Queen much better than PR and have better stage presence. |

I read somewhere that a psychic said Freddie liked S.C....She could have been a phoney, but she said some really weird stuff about him..that made me go "ehh?" She wrote on her webpage about her experiences with Freddie's spirit. |

I still think Elton John would be the best choice! |
Bob-Plant 20.04.2006 11:49 |
So now we're referencing psychics claiming to channel Freddie? "she might be a fake"? Christ, I think this thread has run it's course... |

Yeah, but if a Psychic said it, it's got to be true!!! Just like the internet! |
jordanjo 20.04.2006 16:53 |
what a disaster! Look at this mess that Brian and Roger created! How could those dirty scumbags replace Freddie like that? Who the hell does Paul think he is? Paul was absolutely NOTHING a couple years ago, no fame no money and no success. Now look at these fucks living off of Freddie Mercurys success, fame and money! NO FREDDIE MEANS NO QUEEN. YOU FUCKS! GO UNDER ANOTHER BAND NAME! |

Nostradamus predicted this would happen after Freddie died. |

If Brian and Roger are having fun being Queen again, then let them have it. I personally do not support PR deal, and I did not attend their show when they were in Chicago; however, I respect them for their choice. CHRISTINA AGUILERA FOR THE FRONT-(WO)MEN And no I am not on drugs. Thou I wish I was;) Peace |
