Hey guys-
I know that shirts etc are gonna be SUPER expensive, but are the designs/is the selection good? Could anybody elaborate on the different stuff they're selling.. I want to get an idea of how much money to bring.. I think I want a jacket.. not sure tho..
Thanks!!
well, a jacket is gonna set you back $250.00 and its kind of a cool looking jacket.. but if I were you, I would just save my money.. LOL its WAY overpriced.. a hooded sweatshirt was $70.00
JUST MY opinion.. I do NOT speak for everyone..
I thought they had a nice selection of t-shirt designs. Everything was overpriced but then everything is always overprices at the concert of any name artist. Its just the nature of the beast. I bought a tour t-shirt - one with all the dates listed on the back. Its a nice momento of the show.
In Europe the Tshirts were ugly (my opinion) and bad quality (a fact). I bought an ANATO shirt with "Queen Tour 2005" on the back for a friend and it was really a rip off.
Outside the venues you could buy a huge selection of inofficial shirts from other (illegal) vendors and I have to admit the quality was good and some really looked nice. They only cost 10 euros.
We liked the hoodies (grey with the asian design and the red one) but $75 dollaroos was a little too much.
After the Cleveland show, we were pulling out of the (also overpriced) parking lot, and there were a couple of guys selling t-shirts out of their jackets (?), probably a lot cheaper than in the stadium, but we didn't stop to find out. A bunch of people gathering around them, though...
Most of the merchandise is the same as what they had last year. Obviously it was updated to the 2006 tour. Most didn't move me at all. The best looking one to me is the the jersey. But its for ladies. So I bought the brown shirt w/ the crest on the front that says Queen Tour 2006. Exactly the same as the 1975 tour shirt you can buy at QOL. It's simple & to the point.
I know its the Q+PR Tour you're refering to but its alsways expensive and probably relative to the times. I brought (lost in the mists of tiome now) a sweatshirt from Birmingham Odeon (uk) in 75 (NATO Tour) and that was £2.50p!! Bloody expensive for me back then but the prog (which I still have) was 50p!! now that was worth it-good info, pics etc and a page for the support-Mr Big who were also v good. Yes I'm quite an old geezer and glad of it coz seeing Queen then and when support to Mott were the ...'best days of my life'-and Cardiff Castle was marvellous-used to get around then. While I'm on anyone know where I can get a good NOTW at Stafford Bingly Hall uk. Cheers dears
Yes the merch was all pretty much the same as it was last year. I was actually a bit surprised at this...some items were identical.
There was nothing that really struck my fancy as far as shirts go, but i did come away with the mandatory Programme and a covented BM Tour Sixpence coin.
Items i saw were drumsticks, the sixpences, pens, other small items like keychains, etc. along with many shirts and a few hoodies. Programmes were $20, shirts started at $35 ( standard tour tee) and went up to $65 ( fancy shirts). If you want to buy one of everything then bring about $200!
The Programme is well worth investing in by the way...by far IMO the best itmes up for grabs there next to the sixpence.

Vielen Dank!
The Pim & Niek shirts were/are only 20 euro's and are excellent quality! I've heard some people have worn it for over a year, and washed it a lot. And it still doesn't wear off
Responding to the questions about what is inside the Tour Programme.
A fantastic assortment of excellent quality photographs..that's what!
No..seriously...this one has some stunning pix and some equally sharp themed adverts for Queen gear and various other Queen related products. It's all encased in a buffed golden cover with the current Phoenix logo and the name "Queen + Paul Rogers" in holographic reflective paper foil. Very classy and nice!
Those who bought last years Tour Progamme....this one is basically the same as far as pix go, but some USA only additons ( dates, etc.). In my mind, the 2006 one is well worth investing in.
If you CAN'T get to a show, then don't fret. The Offical Queen website QOL will very likely have them for sale in their online shop once the US Tour is over.
FOLKS...take my word for it...BUY IT! Some of the Paul pix alone are worth it!
AHH!! My concert is tomorrow! :D:D:D
Last minute question: How much are the jackets? (The non fancy-ass leather ones) I see some on the QO website, but are they the same price at the concerts as on the website? $70 or $75? I need to know soon, so I can bring enough money.. :-S
Thanks so much!
The merch was so-so. I bought the black tour shirt with the dates on back. I guess I just really like tour shirts and showing off my favorite bands. IMHO, the 'unofficial' shirts look better. I bought one off eBay for around $15. It has the gold Q+PR logo on front, with a collage of photos (brian, roger, paul & freddie) and tour dates. I really like the design, a lot more than the official shirt.
I thought the merch was pretty good considering- I was expecting it to be more expensive than it was.
A few years ago I saw the Barenaked Ladies in concert (The Everything for Everyone) tour- and their shirts were REALLY ugly, and everything was ungodly expensive, so the only souvenier I left with was fond memories. I did get to downloard the concert and burn it to CD later tho- that was pretty cool.
