From link Wednesday - March 1, 2006 Queen + Paul Rodgers While there is no denying that both the CD and DVD of Queen + Paul Rodgers "Return of the Champions" is spectacular to hear and to watch, there can be no comparison to witnessing this tour de force in person. Now, you have the limited opportunity to do exactly that. It's a chance to be there to see Rock history first hand, an evening to file in your memory bank for immediate recall any time you choose. We at ROCKLINE strongly suggest you have tickets in hand well before they head your way. The extravaganza begins March 3rd in Miami, FL and steamrolls its way into twenty-three carefully selected, and highly fortunate, North American cities. Allow us to make the acquisition of tickets easy for you. Simply log on at QueenPlusPaulRodgers.com and click on tour dates. You can take it from there. We feel very fortunate that the Champions are returning to our show to chat with you directly, and fill the air with some of the best music ever created and performed. The last time the gentlemen (and kick ass Rockers) joined us many months ago they had but two certain concert dates, one each in the New York City and Los Angeles areas. With nearly two dozen concerts planned things have certainly changed, much as the set list has compared to the CD and DVD recorded in Sheffield, England last year. Let's face it; there are simply too many good songs available from these Rock superstars to not shake things up a bit. This is a fact good for us and, no doubt, stimulating for the band as well. Fortunately, with Queen and Paul Rodgers there is a vast repertoire from which to choose and many of their songs are transcendent and have become full blown anthems. Each upcoming show promises to be a night to remember. Ask anyone who saw them in New York or L.A. If you missed your chance to speak with Brian May, Roger Taylor and Paul Rodgers last time, here comes another one. But, as with this historical tour itself, it could be your last chance, at least with this dynamic pairing. DON'T MISS THE SHOW!!! Queen + Paul Rodgers live in concert and their appearance on ROCKLINE! Rockline Radio |

Promotion!!! Whoo Hooo. Guess I will be up late Wedenesday. In october I got through and was on hold for the entire show..they did not get to my question and in fact asked me to change my question twice--the host was kind of nice. |

Download link? Full transcriptions? A list of the news you have heard? Some hints? * Anxious * I heard you talking about: - SINT studio version - what was the context? - new song written by Paul - only live or studio? - Did I hear you talk about "The Call"? - What do you mean by "we now know what happened to the 46664 tracks"? Any hints on that? - What do you mean by "Roger wants to record an album, Brian wants to chill? Did Brian mention that? Did Paul react somehow? - What is the meaning of life? - Where do all the ducks go in winter? Cheers, Ogre- |
PieterMC 02.03.2006 08:26 |
From what I remember: - New song for the tour - Written by Paul - Roger does not know whether to sing Say It's Not True on the tour. Brian says he should. - No Now I'm Here in the setlist at the moment, but they have looked at it - Looking at material from the first three albums - Some new older songs will be in the set - Roger wants to record a studio album with Brian and Paul - They would like to release the 46664 tracks at some point as they feel they kinda got lost - Japanese DVD was released to counter bootlegs of the tv show - Problems with their plane while flying over Germany during the European tour |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 02.03.2006 08:31 |
Thanks a lot Pieter! I was so anxious I was about to have a SHA. :) As for the meaning of life, nevermind, I think I got it figured out. ;) Cheers, Ogre- |

Lisser 02.03.2006 09:45 |
I don't want Roger to sing SINT but I want him to come up to the front and sing something. What do you all suggest? I know it's too late to send in suggestions to Brian but I'd like to konw what you all would want to hear him sing. He's got to stay behind the drum kit for IILWMC so he can't come forward for that. I really didn't like the way SINT sounds but it is a good song. Just not concert material in my opinion. |
PieterMC 02.03.2006 09:49 |
I wish I could hear Tenement Funster, but that aint gonna happen. I hope they decide to add Now I'm Here at the last minute. Oh and one other thing from the interview was Brian said they are still deciding what intro music to use. |

Tenemet Funster would have been awesome but he DID confirm SINT is going to be there, so... |

Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira wrote: - SINT studio version - what was the context?Roger mentioned a "recorded version" of Say It's Not True that's available for download. Not sure exactly what he meant since the only recorded version I know of is from the 46664 DVD/CD and I didn't know if that was available for download anywhere. Also, as for Brian wants to chill: Roger said he wanted to start recording material with Brian and Paul after the tour is over, while Brian said he wanted a vacation. Brian does mention the possibility of recording, but not as quickly as Roger does. Paul, on the other hand, does not respond to that question. |

Man that was the most boring interview I've heard in a long time. Band interviews are always difficult, but this one was particularily bad. They were totally unprepared and had nothing interesting to say whatsoever. All three of them have given a hundred times the interviews I have, but at least I've had something to say. They didn't know the details about future releases, they said nothing about how they got together, nothing about carrying on after Freddie, had no stories from the past tour and they did nothing to hype the new one. It would have been better if BHM had done it on his own because together they did nothing to help promote Q+PR. |
