Thanks for all the feedback so far. I'm still seeding, only 405 MB of 582 is uploaded so far, so there aren't any other seeders yet. I'm no expert at this.. at first I had the maximum 5000 upload speed, and about 20 uploads.. but I couldn't use my browser so I gradually reduced it. What are good settings for the originator of a file? I want to be as generous and quick as possible getting it out there, but still want to be able to browse the web :) |

Chevy is the actual host of the show, though in a funny gimmick.. he hosted by monitor only from California :) Danny Devito does introduce the band for some reason but I don't think there's any explanation as to why he's suddenly there! He's not in any of the sketches. That's a good question actually... Just an update.. two people have over 80% now so there will be a couple more seeders very soon, unless they disconnect, at which point I'll have them killed :-P |

I don't see how this could qualify as official material though. It's the complete appearance of Queen, and in mono as originally broadcast, with station identification logo on the screen and consumer quality. Lisser: It should be fairly obvious whether it's complete. Start up the torrent again and if it's 100% it should say so.. No plans to remove anything here :) I'm still seeding it myself. I've uploaded over 7500 MB according to my thingy. And Alex.. if they have a fucking track on that DVD it's certainly worth a purchase! LOL Seriously, a consumer level recording from television does not compare to the one remastered stereo clip available on a DVD which isn't even owned by Queen Productions. If I excluded that track, this would seem stupid. The intro, one song, and the ending. Wouldn't match up with the quality of the "official" DVD. So we have an option now. Here's a decent quality version of Queen's entire appearance on the show for everyone's archives if they want it. If you enjoy "Crazy Little Thing" here, then buy (or rent) the SNL DVD and you can get it in better quality and sound. It's a TV show from 1982 people.. get over it! And Queen don't even own it. Brian himself didn't have a copy until I sent him one last year, that's a fact according to Jen at his site, who requested it from me when I mentioned it had been rebroadcast. |

Well a vob file is just a glorified mpg and should play on most media players.. even the old mplayer2.exe plays them for me. If you've got the whole thing, unzipped it and tried to play VTS_01_1.VOB, it should work.. I don't know what to tell you. |

Well, it's said I've downloaded the whole thing but it isn't a folder and there is no way to extract files from it. Any idea? -edit- as far as I know, the SNL_QUEEN.zip thing downloaded as a file and stayed a file. When I tryed it again, the same thing started to happen. It might take awhile to unzip... it took forever to zip. I didn't want to zip it but I couldn't get just the folder selected when I tried to make the torrent for some reason, even tried just renaming it. Sorry for the trouble.. what exactly happens when you try to do something with it? Can you tell us an error message you get? As for posting just the vob, it's the biggest file there.. nearly covers the whole 599 MB so that's not very practical.. |

So I thought this would be a neat way to present all of Queen's appearance without doing the whole show, which is something like 66 minutes without commercials. This way you get an introduction, both songs and the end credits. 'Crazy Little Thing' from this show is available on a DVD set called 'Saturday Night Live: 25 Years of Music'. If you got the whole download, 100% then it should work in Media Player. It's DVD files. Try to open the largest .VOB file. If it fails, then perhaps you didn't finish the download. You can't preview most torrents unfortunately, they have to be complete. |

This is really weird...I don't think mine is working anymore. I'm seeding right now, but no one is connecting. I thought it was because of my computer crash, but I have seen it working since then. And I was given the go-ahead :-P It just seemed bloody stupid to remove it. (and on the other version I posted.. one was the entire show, the other was an edit with just Queen's stuff) We get enough edited crap and things missing from official sources.. for fooks sake, let us post TV-quality versions without having to take shit out. This aired on free broadcast television. And even that stuff is subject to removal from places like Youtube.. when it comes right down to it, NONE of it is mine to make downloadable.. so perhaps we can choose our battles a little more carefully. This is harmless. If you want a high quality version of one track, buy the SNL DVD(s), otherwise pretend you're watching broadcast television. The photography was very good - the camera featured the appropriate band member at the correct time, so you can see how Roger play when the focus of the music was from him etc. Edit: You need to right click the first file and then click the "extract to ....." option.
