New York City and Hollywood Bowl Concerts in October just before the Japan Tour!
A Couple of Songs with the Darkness on 08-JUL-05 at Hyde Park.
This is what Roger told at the BBC5 Interview
DAMN!! I can't wait for them to confirm which venue and when will they play in New York.
I think that if the promoters are optimistic about the ticket demand, Queen might be playing the Garden. Although I highly doubt it since U2 will be playing a lot of concerts there in October.
I think it will most likely be the Radio City Music Hall.

Agreed. Gigs will be loaded with industry people and assorted clingons. Fans fall below circus clowns, live-chicken-eating geeks, and radio people in LA and New York. ;-) Doesn't mean I won't try though. (am currently drinking the world's most disgusting martini in a bar near Hyde Park . . . )
You would think since it is only 2 pre-shows, tix will be high in demand in pretty fucking expensive, Sadly I'll pass this up and wait.
I still want to see them, but I'm not shelling out too much to do.

I'm sure it will come back when it's officially confirmed... Hopefully by September, when there are still a few of those $500 tickets left. :P
I guess Queen did the math and realised that a couple of concerts for the usual, inflated US prices would bring them just as much profits as a full scale tour for the common people. :/
Don't worry about tickets.Hollywood Bowl holds 17,000 people and if thats the kind of place they think they can play, they will play Madison Square Garden which holds about the same. There will be plenty of tickets for us commoners. As much as I and all of you love this band, these will not be quick sellouts.I hope i'm wrong but thats my opinion. Also radio stations and promoters always give back tickets at the last minute.Everyone will get in.
yea
as long as it doesnt change again.
out of fairness it must be definitive news and soon
everyone is holding their breath waiting... itching to put in time off requests and so on
the indecsion is affecting Breakthru registrations too
so we shall see
here is the hollywood bowl october calender
not much room it seems... link
nothing for madison-radio city for then either
the official tour date section does finally say October USA tba so we shall see...
Eagle- Checked the link provided-many of the shows listed are actually at the Walt Disney Theater if you click the date...so there appears to be more time available between Oct 8 and 26 than first appears.
Definitive dates annouced soon is necessary for getting time off, booking hotels, etc.
I just noticed that 'Queen'
has been listed to the list of artists on Ticketmaster.com.
There are no dates or anything,
but it's still kinda cool to see the name.
It's also promising that they're "in the system"!
Brian May is in the system too... probably because he hasn't been removed since 1993. I wouldn't take anything as a sign. In fact, I have zero expectations from Queen these days, after all of the missed opportunities and false promises of the past few years.
When the boxed set is in my hand, and when the band are on the stage, then I will believe. That's what I've been unfortunately reduced to.

I know what you mean--when it comes to the US I have my doubts...it's been a long time.
I know this is a sad fact to admit to knowing,
but Queen haven't been in the Ticketmaster system before.
I've checked.
I get bored sometimes.
I certainly didn't mean this as a sign to start
setting aside vacation time. I just thought it was interresting.
I pretty much agree with you that "Until they're on stage..."

I'm still laughing about this one. They're gonna have a hard time getting those bowlers to stop smoking during the Queen gig.
Bowling: the only "sport" where drinking a beer and smoking a cigarette while playing is encouraged. ;-) Oh yeah, and all the lovely polyester!
