Is it just me or has Brian wrote nowt but songs that are emotional, e.g.
1-Who wants to live forever
2-Too much love will kill you
3-Save me
4-Driven by you
5-No-one but you(only the good die young)
theses were taken form the greatest hits platinum edition, their are probably more but thats all i can find at the moment, i aint exactly got many albums!
Driven by you is not exactly an emotional ballad... it used to be an advertisement song anyway... But you are right about the other songs you mentioned... Brian's the softy of Queen ;).

I suppose alot of his songs are quite sad.
Sail Away Sweet Sister is one that hasn't been mentioned. Thats quite emotional i suppose.
Yeah, he wrote a few times in the "folk-rock" style... Some day one day, '39, Long away, Leaving home ain't easy, Sail away sweet sister... I love that style, it fits perfectly with his voice
Well like i sed i only have the platinum edition of the Greatest hits and some live albums, so i dont know that many by Brian, but like someone sed, it suits his voice the emotional ballad type music and when he did do rock he did some great rock tunes like Hammer to fall.

I'm not sure if it would be two thirds. He did write quite a lot of rockers (Keep Yourself Alive, Brighton Rock, Tie Your Mother Down, Hammer To Fall, etc), so I think it's pretty evenly balanced between those and his ballads.
yeah u have a point there, how many in total emotional songs did he do in relation to Rock ballads?

"Teo Torriatte", I've got to say, was really emotional. After a certain period of time, I started crying whenever I heard it.
Also, "No-one But You" that was one that ALWAYS had me on the verge of tears

Some of those "rockers" - her I am thinking of Hammer to Fall, White Man, and possibly Son and Daugter - are pretty emotionally charged too. I have occasional gripes with Brian, but he could write lyrics.
My favourite emotional ballards by Brian are: Save Me, Just One Life, No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young), Too Much Love Will Kill You and Sail Away Sweet Sister.
