My daughter's 3 and she LOVES WWRY. It was the ONLY song she'd listen to in the car for weeks. I love when she sings it. She even throws in the Freddie adlib "alright" and a feedback hum at the beginning of Brian's solo. The only draw back was she'd kick the back of my seat until I'd play it again. My year old son seems to prefer STL and CLTCL. |

I've been listening to Queen for as long as I can remember, because when I was little my parents would listen to them. I'm 15 now and I love 'em even more. My sister's 12 and she likes them but not as much as me. And my one friend is 13 and she's totally obsessed too. I'm glad for the fact that younger people (god i sound so old) are listening and appriciating GOOD music instead of listening to crap like Eminem and Usher and all that jazz.... |
pastieman 04.03.2005 20:57 |
I was 12 when I first got into Queen, trouble is that was 34 years ago. Its great to see so many young people keeping the best music by the best band in the world alive, much better than all the fabricated music of today, ie boy and girl bands/choirs, who cant play a note, or sing live. The great thing about queen is they span all age groups, from 5-95, I saw Roger in Truro on his electric fire tour, when he came on stage a young girl, about 13-14 years old shouted "Roger I love you", a man at the side of me, also about my age then shouted back, "darling, I loved him even before your parents met and you was a twinkle in you dads eye". I will be at Brixham on the 28/3, re living my youth, no doubt coming home aching, cant speek and knackered, just like the good onld days when I saw Queen, but loving every minute of it. Long live Queen. |

I've always liked Queen from early age of about 15 used to hear the old favourites of mine like we are the champions and bohemian rhapsody. though didn't become a fan until recently 2004 via mayboy as he has all the albums, i had a gd listen and really liked the different variation of songs on each album, and the fact that all the band members had wrote their individual songs, i thought there was a lot to offer on each Queen album and thats how i became a fan ... i'm now 22. |

First, Bob the Shrek, it isnt unfortunate you were a Queen fan 31 years ago, its a great thing, i would have love to have been. Secondly, i know many young Queen fans. Im 16. Unfortunately, the only younger ones ik now are mostly only interested in the biggest hits, Like BoRhap, Another-Dust and for the poser punk kids who hate rap, Under Pressure, to criticize Vanilla Ice for stealing the bassline, when infact they have neverh eard the song in their life. I know no true Queen fans my age, except for me of course. The ones i know wont waste the time or money to get an album outside Greatest Hits. Its a shame. They made the best music on earth. Im just glad they are as popular as they are. |

I'm fifteen now, first got into Queen when my brother's music exam last summer was to analyse BoRhap! He liked it so much he went out and bought the Greatest Hits Collection and the moment I heard Don't Stop me Now I was hooked! I had really gone off music when I was around 12 or 13, it all just seemed either bland and the same or gangster rap where the only lyrics seemed to be 'ma bitch' and 'we gettin down wiv it'. What a refreshing change Queen was. I was also surprised how many other people loved Queen at my school. As an artist, I had a round of requests to draw Queen or Freddie Mercury as birthday presents and was well paid too! I think people underestimate how well respected Queen still are with the younger generations. |

I'm 13 and I've only listened to Queen since summer last year. But now when I've discovered them, there's no taking they away from me! :D My first song was: Hammer To Fall, Live at Wembley stadium. Mom had it on her laptop, and when I first heard it I fell in love with Freddie's voice!! |

It's great to see all you youngsters being Queen fans! I am young too, I'm 26! I think I was born a Queen fan. At least I can't remember a certain date when I thought "yes, I'm a Queen fan". I had a tape with BoRap on it when I was five or six and I remember liking the Mamma Mia's and the Galileo's. Then when Breakthru came out in 1989 (I was 10 at the time, and I always sang "Grapefruit") I think I became definately hooked. |

In May, I will be 18. And, I have literally been a fan of Queen since the womb. Actually, from the age of 12 to 15, I hated Queen (you know, the old "ditch your parents" attitude you get at that age). Then at 16, I wrote a short story about a guy in the future who loves Queen. And I did research (started listening again). Then the Darkness came out, so I set out to proove they weren't Queen reincarnated, and here we are. Now, I'm a bigger Queen fan than my dad. |
Waggoner Will 13.04.2005 14:58 |
I have just turned 16, and have been a fan of Queen for that many years. However, a couple of years I got Queen II for my birthday and I realised that I was a true fan. My parents are both big Queen fans, and saw them in 1986, but I consider myself to be the true fan in the family, especially as I have managed to buy all the albums now. I spend a good deal of time at school trying to get my friends to listen to Queen- it doesn't always work though! |
