If I look outside my window, I look out onto a messy garden in need of some attention. There is a little sparrow hopping around the garden and a cat hiding at the side of the shed waiting to pounce. A neighbour across the back lane is taking her washing in and there are no kids to be seen anywhere. And there is me, spying on everyone else.
So when you look out the window, what do you see?
from here one of madrid's big streets, a park and the northern train station. :(
but i remember the view from my window form where i lived when i was little. it was magical.
The first thing that I see is a couple of the ground staff taking a crafty cigarette break behind the annexe of the games room. Lucky for them it's too cold to start taking pot shots with the blunderbuss, but I'll dock their wages at the end of the month.
Beyond them, there is the tennis courts, then the stables where a couple of my thoroughbreds are being put through their paces by the new stablegirl, who in turn will be put through her paces later on by yours truly. Beyond them I can see the snow on the lakeland hills.
Through the side window, if I stand on a stool and get my binoculars out, I can just about make out Mrs. Stirzaker, the chief constable's wife, soaping her tits during her Saturday afternoon bath.
Out the window I can see a low maintenance back garden, no grass - just stone chipping and some poy plants. Birds are taking a drink from the stone bird bath and pecking at the crumbs I threw out for them.
Over by the back gate I can see the small hole in the fence where the hedgehog used to pop in to rummage for food before it hibernated. It is the same hole that the rat came through last Friday and, as soon as it shows up again, it will get a .22 pointy ended pellet straight in the fucking kisser.
I see a huge field with some deer in it (8 point,6 point, spike, and a doe) behind that is the stupid subdivision that they put in a few years ago. In the front yard I see a large yard and the rest of the field and the main road with lots of cars. Across the road is another fiels with some shrubs and trees in it. And my uncles house is across from my house.
A kidney shape pool with a green cover on it for winter with leaves on it. A stone deck around it and a diving board. Some bushes, trees and a black chain-link fence around our yard. Some yellowish green grass and a brick patio with a green picnick table on it. Stone walking blocks and a wooden porch. My old rabbit's hutch (he died two Halloweens ago) that is tipped over. And, the sky.
I see an unkempt brick walkway with green weeds poking through. There is something that resembles grass where youd expect grass to be, but honestly its really weeds. I see the slight edge of the planter box below of my window filled with tan bark. I see a laddis work structure that has gone into disarray with garbage bags inside. Potted trees, a rotting picnic bench with its counterpart the table. a Weeping willow tree...An Iron structure in which the wisteria has wrappeditself around. A Postal jeep parked at the end of the brick walk way, a red jeep parked on the gravel driveway which stretches on into the freshly disked field. THe fields surrounded by small trees in their own patches of weeds. at the end of the field I cansee the fence and the road as well as the houses, some horses in a pen and off behind those houses in the distance the hills crested in the mid day fog.
When I look straight ahead, I see the house that belonged to my best friend when I was a kid. To the right of that is the house that belongs to my grade 3 art/french teacher. Above the houses is the sky, behind them are a few trees, in front fo them is a very quiet road, with a red van parked on it. In front of that is my front yard, which is in medium shape, and has a cute little wooden fence that my Dad built on it. I can Also see my garage roof, and my tree, that I always climb in the summer. None of it's all that pretty, but it's still one of my favourite views. :)
Gee, I am sitting in a classroom right now, should be doing stuff for school. Which I am not doing :-) I am right in front of a window but the curtains are closed. Damn! But I know their is a huge building outside and it must be raining right know. Actually it is not that bad that the curtains are closed. There is nothing to see out there. :-)
Snow in the street, still all white because there's not too many cars driving here. Actually there's mostly ice now, due to the rain last night. Everything is pretty dark, so the street-lamps shed a warm yellowish light here and there and give it all a very cosy atmosphere. Right underneath is our garden, but I don't really see it unless I lean forward and straight down. Mostly I look straight over at our neighbour's house and actually into what must be their computer-room, cos they sit there staring at a screen large parts of the day. Right now one of my other neighbours walk his dog, he's coming down the stone-stairs which lead from another road and down to our. I don't think I have ever spoken to him, know his name or the house he lives in - because I don't really care much for our neigbours. I love the view from my room, though, it's really cosy. :-)
