hmm, based on what? |
| BrianRules 05.10.2004 14:33 |
That's cool that they're rated number five, but here would be my top five: Queen Beatles Pink Floyd Grateful Dead Led Zeppelin |
| Mr.Jingles 05.10.2004 14:49 |
The Beatles at #8... PLLEEEASE Although we have to thank Q for not puttin Oasis at #1 since they love to suck the dicks of the Gallaghers. |
| deleted user 05.10.2004 15:00 |
Fair enough, needs some improvement. better than rolling stones. those dicktwats are nothing but a pile of crap. |
| Gunpowder Gelatine 05.10.2004 15:16 |
Interesting list. I'm surprised to see Pink Floyd at such a high spot; it's usually The Beatles or Led Zeppelin at the top. |
| Brian_Mays_Wig 05.10.2004 15:33 |
Interesting, its better than a kick in the teeth I suppose! NME wouldnt have Queen in the top 500! |
| SergeantPepperDG 05.10.2004 16:12 |
NUMBER EIGHT?! WHAT THE FUCK? *goes off on rampage* |

SergeantPepperDG wrote: NUMBER EIGHT?! WHAT THE FUCK? *goes off on rampage*You rampage off!! The Beatles were dog shit mate. |
| SergeantPepperDG 05.10.2004 16:26 |
I'm already pissed off enough, after reading that they might release Mark David Chapman from prison, BUT THIS JUST RUINED MY WHOLE FUCKING WEEK! Ok, I'm over-exaggerating... but I AM pissed off. |
| Libor2 05.10.2004 16:42 |
It's fine to see Queen on #5, but why is Springsteen or Marley there? I expected Rush or Genesis instead of them. And U2 better than Queen? No way. |
| Mr.Jingles 05.10.2004 17:33 |
Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac & Marley perhaps deserve to be in the top 20 though. But C'mon... Dire Straits is goddamn awful, I wouldn't even put them on the top 100. |

surprinsingly low for their value... is there any band better than QUEEN? NO! |
| Gunpowder Gelatine 05.10.2004 19:08 |
Crazy_Little_Thing_Called_Sonia wrote: surprinsingly low for their value... is there any band better than QUEEN? NO!Queen are just generally unloved. Half the time, they don't get the credit they deserve, because people tend to think of them as the band that did We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody and Another One Bites The Dust. |
| high-flying-adored 05.10.2004 21:40 |
Meh. They're stupid. Ah, well, for me it'd be something like ... 1. Queen 2. Pink Floyd 3. Led Zeppelin (disputable switch btwn 2 and 3) 4. Beatles I dunno. It all depends on which material's being looked at primarily. |

I don;t agree with the list, U2 4th while Queen was a lot better and the Beatles by the most people considered as the biggest band ever on #8, no i think this is not the best list of biggest rock band |
| Nikos 06.10.2004 12:50 |
Queen should be in the top 3 |
| Banquo 06.10.2004 14:08 |
In defence of Q there were conditions of which you had to be included in the Top 50 these were Biggest Album, Weeks spent in the UK that's UK singles chart and album chart and biggest gig attendance. That's why The Beatles appear so low on account of their biggest concert wasn't very big at all (not by today's standards anyway). Pink Floyd have spent a LOT of time in the UK album charts with just one album alone; Dark Side Of The Moon. Dire Staits though I don't have an answer. |
| Little_Queenie 06.10.2004 16:06 |
Stones, Floyd and U2 better than Queen????? Yeah right. |

Ok, I'm over-exaggerating... but I AM pissed off. What the bloody hell???!!!!!!!!! Since when did they start releasing CONVICTED MURDERERS from prison????!!!!!!! Very well, I guess I'll just have to shoot him myself. Nuts, I swear!!!!! And the Beatles at #8, that's just a travesty. If it weren't for them, there damn well may be no Led Zeppelin, etc., etc., Queen, even................ ARGH!!!!!!! |
| Big Roger Taylor fan 07.10.2004 06:35 |
That's the wrong list, here's mine 1. Queen 2. U2 3. The Rolling Stones 4. The Who 5. The Beatles 6. The Cure 7. The red Hot Chilli Peppers 8. Pink Floyd 9. The Doors 10. Tin Machine (just kidding) |
| Live Killer 07.10.2004 07:48 |
What is Pink Floyd doying at number 1!!??.The Beatles should be at number one and QUEEN of course on number 2!!!! |
| Mr.Jingles 07.10.2004 10:33 |
Mine goes as... 1. Queen 2. The Beatles 3. Pink Floyd 4. Aerosmith 5. Led Zeppelin 6. Guns N' Roses 7. U2 8. Metallica 9. AC/DC 10. Nirvana |
| Daragon 07.10.2004 13:16 |
What the hell, this isn't the first time I see U2 higher ranked than Queen, what's up with that??? U2 just plain sucks, not only that, their frontman sucks as well, they don't even have good songs! Geez... |
| Mitti 07.10.2004 13:38 |

Sorry I forgot, I agree, but Queen #5... just wouldn't be that way in my top 50 |
| Banquo 07.10.2004 13:45 |
Was my post invisible? It was based on conditions which I indicated before it wasn't 'best' band. Reading the comments though here are my BIGGEST bands in the whole world 1. Queen 2. The Cross 3. Smile 4. Opposition 5. New Opposition 6. Ibex 7. Wreckage 8. Sour Milk Sea 9. 1984 10. The Reaction If you don't know who the other bands are ask the person sitting next to you to direct you to Google it may surprise you. |
| FredMerBul 07.10.2004 13:48 |
1. Pink Floyd 2. Led Zeppelin 3. Rolling Stones 4. U2 5. Queen Queen in the 5th place???? I definitely don´t agree. Queen is the BEST BAND EVER!!! |
| deleted user 07.10.2004 14:18 |
maybe Q is considering Bono's humanitarian efforts, but then Bono is just a part of U2 and is not wholly U2... Beatles #1, Queen #2, the rest, don't give a feck. |
| Giacco 73 07.10.2004 14:44 |
Some comments... 1. Pink Floyd-I love them,my fourth favoutite band ever. 2. Led Zeppelin- I love them too,my fifth favoutite band ever. 3. Rolling Stones-I don't like that much Mick Jagger's Voice, overrated. 4. U2-A good band with good songs, overrated.I rate them in my top 25. 5. Queen-BIGGER AND BEST BAND EVER 6. Dire Straits-I like their songs but are quite ripetitive and innocuous... 7. Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band-Way overrated by critics. 8. The Beatles WTF! They should be second behind Queen! 9. Bob Marely and The Wailers-I like their hits.I rate them in my top 25. 10. Fleetwood Mac-I don't know them then I skip 'em from my list. So,I would skip from this list Rolling Stones,U2,Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band,Fleetwood Mac,Bob Marley and The Wailers,Dire Straits. Some good bands, some overrated, other ones way overrated. Here's mine: 1.Queen 2.The Beatles 3.The Jimi Hendrix Experience 4.Pink Floyd 5.Led Zeppelin 6.Judas Priest 7.Iron Maiden 8.Deep Purple 9.AC/DC 10.Black Sabbath |
