I don't know that they should call themselves Queen, as I truly consider Queen to be all four artists, but I would be lying if I said I wouldn't give anything to hear them live! And, regardless of what they called themselves, I would do virtually anything to hear them... I wish so badly I'd been born a little (okay, maybe a lot) earlier, and had been given the chance to actually see Queen...
But, I can always hope that one day I'll be able to at least see the remnants, ne?
Ja ne!
i could be wrong, but i was thinking there's a tribute band by the name of Taylor May'd. so, ironically enough, Roger and Brian might have to jump through some legal hoops if they wanted to use that.
I say Brian drops ol' Roger and goes solo again. Nothing against Roger mind you, I would just like another solo album from Brian. Roger can make one too I guess... ;)
One last tour, but definitely not as Queen, "BM and RT invite you to a night at the opera" or something like that (like the tour programms for the ANATO-Tour) and then that's it. So the legions of "new" fans from after '91 can enjoy Queen-Music live (or those who have missed them live, like myself :-( ) and then the very well deserved retirement... I also like Pink Floyd a lot, and having seen Dave Gilmour in a documentary recently I think it's not always too pleasant to see your idols aging... ;-)
I saw Brian and Roger play live last year in Modena,Italy, for the Pavarotti & friends. My dream came true, best emotions from a concert in my life. And I want to live that feeling again, for sure!In every form they want to perform under every denomination with whoever they want, just play live and give to the world the best songs in rock'n'roll history over and over again!
Yep - definitely - write some new material and take the show on the road! Taylor May'd works as a marketing tool, but they'd still have to rely on the Queen name in some shape or fashion - especially here in the U.S. Unlike everywhere else in the world, they aren't household names here (but they are in my house ;o)
I googled Taylor May'd and came up with a load of porn sites and something about a drag queen...
But yes, it would be very cool if they toured, seeing as I was a tad too young - or perhaps not even born when Queen were touring.
How old are they, anyway? I read somewhere that whenever good old Roger played drums, after an hour or so, his arms would cramp, and would require a nap. :)

Brian - 57 and Roger - 55. Not so old, are they? In Rog's case, it's perhaps the vodka abuse that does him wrong...
I've already said in other posts that I'd love to see them tour again. I think they'd have to use the Queen name to draw an audience and to let the public know what they're about. Obviously, those two alone are not Queen, but they could be billed "The Music Of Queen, Featuring Brian And Roger", or something like that.
^^^ Because they would really have to twist his arm, and, well, it's not going to happen.
Hell, Queen isn't even a household name here anymore. Except in my head, I guess.
It really doesn't matter what they call themselves - be it Queen or Deaky's Left Bollock, people are going to go watch the shows. Mind you, I wouldn't consider the name Deaky's Left Bollock if they do an album.
