I've recently grown into liking this song. what do you think about it? |
| LiveAidQueen 24.09.2004 18:06 |
It's perfect. |

It was one of my happiest discoveries when I started getting heavily into Queen. I love it :) |
| Gunpowder Gelatine 24.09.2004 18:11 |
I used to listen to this song every morning last year when getting ready. It's beautiful. |

Reminds me so much of Las Palabras De Amor (very similar song development), but ten times better. For some reason I can't like Las Palabras De Amor very much. |

1 - Oooohhh, I'm proud I probably gave the main input for the return of Whirled Peas... Hehehe... Welcome back!!! I like the new colour indeed more than the two-tinted ColdEarth :-) 2 - Teo Torriatte is surely in my top 5... I've always loved that song a lot... I'm even going to record it with my band and get it included into the EP... Maybe I'll post it in the Stage of the Champion, OK? Albyboy |

A WONDERFUL song! :D |

I like the 'kids' choir part. Makes my neck hairs stand up in appreciation. |
| iGSM 25.09.2004 02:45 |
Can't say I've paid a great deal of attention to it. I'm usually re-listening to TYMD, YTMBA and TMW. Must listen to it later on. |
| Roger_in_Tigerskin_Trousers 25.09.2004 05:24 |
Yeah a great number - really good when the choir come in. |
| The Man On The Prowl 25.09.2004 05:32 |
What do I think? I think it's a great song, as all the other ones written by Brian in the period of A Night At The Opera and A Day At The Races. Long Away is also great, and has a wonderful bass line, and Brian's voice is fabulous! |
| Sonja 25.09.2004 06:10 |
I love Teo Torriatte!! One of my all time favourites, especially because of the Japanese lines. They should've done more of that kind of things... PS: Nice username Crazy Little Thing Called Sonia ;-) |
| Mitti 25.09.2004 07:20 |
For me it's a weird song... When I listen to it and I would say like; 'yeah, it's okay', but later that day I'm singing this song the whole time and I'm just amazed how great it is! Strange right? |
| Giacco 73 25.09.2004 07:38 |
A truly masterpiece like the whole A day at the Races. And I love to sing it,it suits perfectly my voice! |

I love this song! I even made something at school with Teo Torriatte on it. Got a B+ though. Still! I like the part when Freddie goes "When I'm gone" right after the japanese line. That's my favorite part. Now I have to listen to it. |

Beautiful song! a real Gem at the end of the ADATR album :) |

Yes, albyboy.. I changed back just for you ;) There's just so much going on in this song... I think my favorite part is the whole 'When I'm gone, they'll say we're all fools..' verse.. how Freddie's vocal gets so powerful and then the choir comes in.. the song is everything from sweet and light to haunting, to powerful. It's even got the built-in homage to Aerosmith. |

What hommage to Aerosmith??? |

Scirocco1977 wrote: What hommage to Aerosmith???I'm glad you asked! Someone always does :) link I think the intro to 'Dream On' sounds quite similar to the music heard here, along with the words "dream on".. so I've always thought of it as a little homage to Aerosmith. But I'm nutz. |

Lovely song. Quintessential Queen. I discovered this song several years into being a Queen fan and was delighted. |

I cannot understand why anyone would not like ADATR!!! Its surely on of their best albums ever. Teo Torriate was the song that really got me hooked on queen. Its got the perfect contrast with the first two verses almost whispered and then that exclamation of "when I;m gone, they'll say we're all fools..." That gets me every time! |
| felix ibex 26.09.2004 10:19 |
Its my Favourite Brian May Song! |
| Rotwang 26.09.2004 10:53 |
I love the verses and the instrumentation. I'm not crazy about the chorus. I don't think it fits that well with the rest of the song. Love Freddie's voice on that track. |
| Libor2 26.09.2004 10:58 |
Yes, it’s beautiful song, but unfortunately overlooked. Even me usually forgot to mention it amongst my favourite songs. Maybe it’s due to lack of any Brian guitar solo in it. |
| lottie88 26.09.2004 13:41 |
I adore it!!!! It is so beautiful. |
| Queenette=1 26.09.2004 15:07 |
I think that if you can not appreciate Teo Torriatte, then you do not fully appreciate QUEEN! And if you didn't like ADATR, you are not appreciative of QUEEN's Work! There is not a song on any of QUEEN's Albums, CD's Videos that I don't love each and every song! And to me that is a true fan! |
| Little_Queenie 27.09.2004 06:20 |
That song is just PERFECT. I'm literally floating around in ecstasy while listening to it. One of the most beautiful Queen songs, and surely the best Brian's. And I love all ADATR. I didn't use to like The Millionaire Waltz, but after listening to it for a longer time, I adore it. Beautiful bass line. |
| BrianRules 27.09.2004 11:01 |
Yes Whirled Peas, you're NUTZ!! I'm sorry, but I can't hear much similarity between those two songs at all. And I'm sure Queen wouldn't have ripped off Aerosmith. They're both good songs, though. |
| Mean Mistreater 27.09.2004 13:32 |
very beautiful indeed, i always thought that would be perfect played at a wedding |

As a newer fan (22 yrs. old) I'm just started to discover all of the hidden gems that were never great hits, especially in the US. Teo Torriatte is one of these. Some of my favorite songs on ANATO and ADATR were never very popular here (i.e. '39, You and I, I'm in Love with my Car, Long Away) but I think that TT is one of the best and was absolutely the perfect way to end "Races." After I had heard it a few times and could actually focus on the words, I found myself really moved during the very powerful 3rd verse. Looking at my posters, wishing I had been born earlier, missing Freddie though I never knew him... it's amazing the feelings that great music can awaken in you. |

And although I'm sometimes not in the mood for it, I've never grown weary of it, like I did with most of ADATR. |

Wonderful song according to meeee! It shows the majesty of Queen |

I love everything about this song apart from the end- the choir seems a bit tacky... |
