It wasn't linked from the front page when this thread started, but it is now. You can always click on 'Stage of Champions' link for the entire collection thus far.
But here's the link anyway: link
I've mentioned before how it would be nice if a direct link was included in these threads when they're posted. It's easier to hear it right away and be able to reply rather than learning of a new one here and then looking for it and coming back :-P
Anyway, I liked this one quite a bit. It's a little loose, could be tightened up a bit and it would be perfect. But overall the singing and playing are excellent.
Excellent, Wonderful, ....
I agree, it s one of the best cover so far ... the vocals are perfect, and the guitars so brilliant, such a pleasure to hear pefects notes on perfect time with such perfect interpretation .. Bravo ...
I think i'm gonna send the link to someone who surely will like it.
Cheers
Vinou
You see, this thread demonstrates that we don't just tear apart everything that comes from the Stage of Champions. If you do a good job, you get a really enthusiastic response.
This is definitely one of my favourites from the SoC section!
The drums are really different sounding from the original, especially the snare, but it sounds and definitely works very well!

Any more info on who Crossed Hearts are?
I could probably shed a little light on that.
Crossed Hearts is Dave and Teri Smith, a husband and wife duo from Bremen, Indiana, USA. Dave plays all the instruments you hear on the recording and they both sing. This cover was Dave’s pet project and completed bit by bit over the summer at Dave’s studio.
For the past two years they’ve been singed to a small religious-music-oriented record label in Chicago and have a CD of original songs released on Disciple Records (a subsidiary of GIA publications).
They write and perform pop/rock music with religious themes and lyric content. Hence, it would be unlikely to hear them do a cover of Fat Bottomed Girls. ;-)
They are both HUGE Queen fans and regard Queen to be the most brilliant and talented group that ever existed, past, present or future.
When they are not gigging, David also owns and runs a recording studio, is busy doing production work for many independent artists and musicians and is close to completing his degree in Secondary Education, English, while Teri homeschools their six children.
. . and their website link is at the bottom of this page.
. . and Dave knows it’s really strange to talk about himself in third person.
Thanks for the compliments guys. Really appreciated!
Dave Smith

Damn, I guess all has been said. Well, I thought it was great! And like someone else said, as long as your cover is actually good, it will get the respect and praise it deserves.
Peace,
Adam.
P.S. Sorry, just the teeniest little gripe. The drums sounded a little too weighted. But that's just my personal preference. Very nice drums, though!

And how would you possibly know how much my drums weigh? Hardy har har.. .
Adam, your cover of Winter's Tale. . great. Great vocal performance.
