| Sir Archie 'Tiffany' Leach 27.05.2004 16:07 |
I hope they are truly splendid young lady and everything goes swimmingly. Please no throwing your knickers at anybody! |
| Daburcor? 27.05.2004 16:41 |
"Please no throwing your knickers at anybody!" Not even her precious Tony? ;) |
| Sir Archie 'Tiffany' Leach 27.05.2004 16:42 |
Miss James has a pair of knickers called Tony? If she's gone to the trouble of naming them then no she shouldn't throw them! |
| deleted user 27.05.2004 19:23 |
LOL!!! Oh, yes, I've named all my knickers AND socks. *ahem* It will be difficult to contain myself as I see Tony, but I'll do my best... ...I'll let you all know how it goes when I return! :^) |
| Wreckage 27.05.2004 20:27 |
I'm sure you'll have a great time, there ain't nothing like seeing your favourite band live. |
| Janet 27.05.2004 20:48 |
Amanda I know you're going to have an awesome time! I'm jealous! :-) |
| dragonzflame 27.05.2004 21:55 |
You're lucky that your favourite bands grace your natio with their presence (ok, I know you're in the US and it would be ridiculous for them not to)...spare a thought for those of us that get either nothing or crap. I hate living here. |
| Mr.Jingles 27.05.2004 22:44 |
I saw them 3 years ago on the 'Return Of Saturn' tour. They're one awesome live band and Gwen Stefani always knows how to make the crowd go wild. I was dying to see them on the summer tour with Blink 182. I had this obsession with getting orchestra seats so I was on the line 2 hours before the tickets went on sale. Unfortunately by the time I got to the ticket booth they told me that they only had tickets for the mezzaine section and they were the same price of the ones in the orchestra (which I thought was a complete rip-off) I was so mad that I decided not to buy the tickets. Perhaps I should join the No Doubt fan club so I can get exclusive tickets, but with my luck Gavin Rosedale and Gwen will probably decide to have a baby and No Doubt won't tour for a couple of years. Btw Amanda, are you a fan club member? |
| deleted user 03.06.2004 10:16 |
No, I am not a member of the fan club, Mr. Jingles, but joining would be kinda cool. I do often visit their official website to get all of the newest news, tho. That's a shame you didn't get the tickets that you wanted. It's almost shocking how quickly the tickets go. I bought mine online and could have gotten even better seats than what I had gotten, but my computer acted up just as I was buying them. I think that even if Gwen and Gavin have a baby (which is highly likely, as we know she wants to have kids and they have been married for a good while now), it'll still be a while until another tour, which is a bit of a downer cos I hate waiting as much as the next person. ;^) But based on things that are happening now such as Gwen's L.A.M.B line, her new dance album that's coming out this summer and now this current tour it seems like they'll either take another break or possibly consider working on another album in the future (hopefully!) As for the concert, well...being the fan that I am, I am guessing everyone already knows what I am gonna say, but I'll say it anyway....THAT WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST THINGS I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!!! :^D |
| Daburcor? 03.06.2004 14:46 |
I was just wondering if you had had a good time, And it seems that you did. ;) Good for you Amanda!!! :D |
| willem-jan 8923 03.06.2004 15:16 |
Any change that you remember the playlist? |
| deleted user 03.06.2004 17:46 |
The setlist? They played every song on their recent "Singles" cd, minus "Trapped In a Box." |
| Azmandaman 04.06.2004 05:39 |
NO DOUBT!!!! yo am jealous now grr!!! atleast I got the ND boombox yay!! and *live in the tragic kingdom* is awesome!!!! |
| deleted user 04.06.2004 08:53 |
All of the boombox is awesome, dude. ;^) And the Rock Steady dvd is fantastic, too. |
| Mr.Jingles 04.06.2004 16:56 |
You know Amanda, I'm kinda regretting now not getting those tickets when I had the chance. If I would have gotten them back then I would have gotten at least first level (not great, but still pretty quite close to see Gwen if you have binoculars). I was reading this article with Gwen where she says that she's going to be involved with the other things you mentioned before (LAMB clothing line, solo album, and perhaps A BABY??). So my guess is that No Doubt won't tour for at least another 2 or 3 years. Hope time goes by fast. P.S. I'm sure you had a great time at the concert. I'm glad you enjoyed it :-) |

But the nice thing is, no matter how long it takes for them to tour again, we can sorta rely on the fact that ND are young and fresh...and the possibility of them staying together for many more years is good! And we can also hope for another album...as I think one is due. ;^) I did have a great time, thanks - they give an awesome show, as you know! :^) "setlist indeed, my mistake :D but no Move on? or any good covers? or any non-hits? " - They only performed their hits, probably because there were ND fans as well as Blink 182 fans...so they played stuff that non-ND fans would recognize. They did play "It's My Life," of course...and it was an excellent cover. :^D |

Oh, and btw, I thought you all should like to know that when No Doubt first came out, they played WWRY (Queen's version) in the background - it was quite the surprise to me! |
| Daburcor? 05.06.2004 13:27 |
Maybe they did it JUST for you Manda. ;) |
| Mr.Jingles 05.06.2004 14:43 |
No Doubt used to play a cool version of Obladi-Oblada on their long long tour to promote 'Tragic Kingdom'. That version was indeed better than the original Beatles version. I'm a Beatles fan but certainly Obladi-Oblada is not their best song, but good thing that No Doubt realized that the song had a great vibe as a reggae/ska version. |
| deleted user 05.06.2004 20:00 |
They did, Dan - and I know Gwen dedicated "Simple Kind of Life" just for me as well. ;^) |
| Daburcor? 06.06.2004 00:58 |
Suuure... And then Gwen pulled you up on stage and let you sing your heart out too. ;) |
| Maz 06.06.2004 01:31 |
Or maybe she just pulled Alli on stage for some awkward dancing a la Courtney Cox and Bruce Springsteen. |
| Daburcor? 06.06.2004 02:07 |
Ah, Now THAT sounds more like our dear Amanda. ;) |
| deleted user 06.06.2004 08:41 |
LOL.. ...Zeni, how did you know about me going on stage?? ;^) |
| Queenleaf 06.06.2004 10:30 |

| Maz 06.06.2004 13:56 |
