Hi there, it looks like the put a lot effort and for change a couple of days rehearsal into this new tour. Any hopes of big surprises for the setlist? Maybe a live performance of Doin' Alright. That would be very nice |

Brian wants Roger to perform Tenement Funster... Drowse and Let Me Entertain You have been rehearsed in the past so they could be revived now especially after Tear It Up was played in the set during the last European tour... Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy has been mentioned by Brian a lot more in interviews recently... |

In a tribute to the movie's most infamous scene, hologram Fred comes onto the stage to plead with Brian to be part of Queen again. Brian points to Lambert, saying "he can do everything you can, and more!" Brian then stabs the Fred hologram with a jedi light sabre. Fred tries to quote Obi Wan Kenobi: "If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine", but his words are drowned out by the opening bars of We Will Rock You. As hologram Fred falls from the stage, Queen+ proceed to play 20 songs written by Brian, and one by Roger to keep him happy. As an encore, Roger fires a rifle into a tank of jellyfish, then trashes 2 large garden gnomes. You're welcome. |

Queenman!! 11.07.2019 12:02 |
Show is great… but did you sleep for the past six years?? The setlist is like the last six years one big greatest Hits list they played over and over and over and over again. Sounds like a Scandal...Only suprise was little intro verse of Roger singing Doin's Allright and Machines. ( and they played 31 songs or so) |
Dim 11.07.2019 12:48 |
I have seen them live, despite not many changes in their setlist, they deliver a great show. That's matter! |

fruhzs wrote: Any info on more, or less, use of Freddie on the big screen this time? Also apparently YTMBA with Freddie prior to WWTLF. No idea if it was video or just audio No idea about the rest. For sure a video will show at some point |
Nathan H 11.07.2019 14:04 |
Remember that a majority of attendees at these shows won't know the vast material of Queen. They will only be familiar with the songs on the Greatest Hits albums and in the movie. It's a lot nicer atmosphere at live gigs when audiences know the songs because they sing along and interact. That's the reason why Spread Your Wings and It's Late were dropped - the audiences didn't know the songs. Anyway, out of the 30 songs (excluding the guitar solo), twelve of the songs played were from the first five albums. Also, out of those twelve, only six were UK Top 40 Singles. The set list has never been so different: several songs have been moved, six songs that haven't been performed by Q+AL in at least three years have been revived and there are two new songs. For those who call this a Greatest Hits set list then come up with two hours of songs that CAN'T be in the list which will cause the show to be more popular in arenas with thousands of people in them. |

fruhzs 11.07.2019 18:35 |
Thanks Matt z. I honestly don’t understand their decision to take “vídeo Freddie” out of BoRhap, and I mean it sincerely, no pun intended. I went to see their concerts in Brazil, both with Paul and with Adam, and that was clearly an emotional moment to the audience. I mean, it’s obvious that we can never have the real thing back, so that was like a small tiny glimpse of connecting with it that the audience could get. More so, IMO, than the love of my life segment. Plus, this time they are touring on the wheels of the movie, which obviously has Freddie as the main thing and as vivid as ever in people’s imagination. A movie called Bohemian Rhapsdoy, for that matter, that names the tour pretty much. IMO it would make all sense in the world to bring him back on video for BoRhap again, maybe even how it was in the PR days (for longer periods of the song). I’m not on the bashing Brian and Roger side of things, much on the contrary, I appreciate the fact that they are still out there despite some things not being entirely up to my taste, and I do go and support it, as they deserve it IMO. But some decisions like this, to me at least, are hard to understand even from a business perspective. |

Prediction. Most, if not all, of the following songs will be dropped from the set list within the next few weeks: Now I'm Here Seven Seas of Rhye/Keep Yourself Alive In the Lap of the Gods...Revisited One Vision Machines (Or Back to Human) '39 Doing All Right Dragon Attack Reasoning: 1. Show is too long for them to sustain. 2. They do not typically play these songs. 3. They have pulled similar, "non-typical" songs from recent set lists before (e.g., Spread Your Wings and It's Late). The excuse given will be something along the lines that the songs "do not work well in a live setting". Now watch what happens. :) |

Now watch what happens. :)I'm not surprised that One Vision was dropped (I predicted that it could be one of the first ones to go several hours before the concert) because it just seemed out of place in the middle of the show. It's always been the opener or one of the first songs played at a show. And, it's not one of my favourite songs either, so I'm glad it's this and (at the moment) nothing else. I'm hoping that there won't be another causality if Doing All Right is extended once again - In the Lap of the Gods... Revisited, Bicycle Race, Machines, '39, Dragon Attack and I Want It All are the only other songs not heard or referenced in the movie. - Bicycle Race and Machines I reckon won't be dropped as they emphasis the extravaganza of a Q+AL show. - Dragon Attack won't be dropped I think because it's big in America having been the b-side of Another One Bites the Dust, Queen's biggest selling single in America. - I Want It All will never be dropped because it's one of the live staples of the show, a true rock classic. I doubt at the moment they are going to drop a song which is in the movie especially when Doing All Right has been getting a big reaction from the audience - people are singing along to it. But perhaps there could be more casualties as this is their longest ever show, and a long tour. |

I wouldn't be that sure about Dragon Attack. It wasn't the B-side of the american 45 that's an error. On Elektra "Don't Try Suicide" made the flip to "Another One Bites The Dust". The last time on the News Of The World jubilee tour they skipped a lot of songs from the album after a few shows and played the usual suspects. kind regards, W. |

Just saw them yesterday in Los Angeles at the forum. I don’t know exactly what I was expecting, being a Queen fan but also more a Freddie fan...I just knew I would regret not seeing Queen, even if there was no Freddie. Adam has a great voice, but it just doesnt sound like Queen. I find myself wanting to watch old vids on youtube after the show cause it was like I didnt get my fix from the concert lastnight. The stage was very baroque and awesome; There’s a part where Brian is floating in space on an asteroid during a guitar solo and that was really cool. The “laser show” towards the end of the show was also impressive. It made me think back on how I always read that Queen was ahead of the game when it came to stage theatrics...they still are. I just wish I could see Freddie up there with them, in the flesh. I cried when (SPOILER ALERT) they showed him on the jumbo screen while Brian May was playing “Love of my Life”. I gasped because i literally took me by surprise..The entire audience had their phones up during this song, it was beautiful and probably my favorite part of the show. |
