"Freddie would have wanted it that way..."
Ha Ha!! Brian will tell you that at the drop of a hat in any interview I'm sure if it shifts another copy of 'Greatest Hits'.
I'm currently waiting for the old chestnut of "Monopoly was Freddie's favourite game - he used to play it for hours with Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert"!!

LOL
Freddie would approve...........
I always thought it was scrabble as well! - that's the only one that ever came up in stories.
Maybe Brian knows something WE don't.
:-/
Either way, not much to do to "personalize/Queenify" a Scrabble set. At least it's not Hungry Hungry Queen Hippos

What if the four hippos each had the face of one of the band members? Would that be better?
Christ! So on top of the 3 Anthology albums The Beatles have released they are now also releasing 'over 100 minutes of out takes, many previously unheard and unreleased'. This is just for this one album as well!
What with this and that huge Pink Floyd box set released last year with 27 discs (and I am sure they'll be releasing another one compiling their commercial peak period of Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, etc) at least some classic bands are treating their fans to archive material.
Still we get to play with our 'Queen' monopoly sets and those balloons from the live release they did recently. We can't complain really. ;-)
Yeah but repeated takes are a listen once deal aren't they, unless there's something remarkable - like, say the alternate take of Matilda Mother. That said, I'd bee happy with listening through alternate takes of pretty much any Queen album just in case.
Lets be grateful that Queen didn't issue material in Mono and Stereo too. They'd milk that for 'exciting' bonus material too.
By the time Queen get around to anything like this, we'll all be dead and there will be no one alive that remembers FM in the mustache period, let alone at the band's 1970's peak.
Still, we have Queen Monopoly, Brian & Kerry's mutual wank-fest and Glambert all to look forward to.
Onwards......

Yet we get clear messages and direct confirmations that Brian, Roger and Jim feel that there wouldn't be any interest in any archive type sets being released, despite all the contrary evidence.
I'm sure that Brian and Roger will, as fans of The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Hendrix etc..., be listening to all these rare sets that continually come out from their favourite artists.....can't they see that their fans would love the same opportunity?!!
cmsdrums, re:

No - they don't care. They've moved on from Freddie and their history to the extent that Glambert, Kerry and Monopoly are their priorities.

Totally agree, It's amazing how easily they forget(money talks), all about AL now and how he's "part of the family now". It's the only thing there are pushing now. Nothing with old material. Buying a Queen book now will include AL, it's not a Queen+ book, very sad.
And people on this site try and argue freddies importance. Look at what Brian And Roger have done since his passing. How pathetic have they become? 25 years of crap. That new brian album is sad, how the mighty have fallen!

If you don't buy monopoly, Kerry E album and QUAL tickets but spend your money on the Sgt Pepper edition you won't feel so bad about the rip off :-)
