How very regrettable. |
AlexRocks 15.07.2013 15:59 |
This VERY possibly is biggest, most popular, most widely viewed, most important concert that Queen have EVER done in the U.S....this should be REAL interesting. Great things to come if they can pull this shit off! Also Brian does need to dye his hair...and Roger too. I'm just saying. |
matt z 15.07.2013 18:03 |
Heard this on 98.7 this morning. The guy has zero charisma and I probably can't afford tickets. (Cause I still WOULD go) These festival tickets usually run a couple hundred bucks right? Either way... COULD be good |
dudeofqueen 16.07.2013 01:20 |
FFS - what the hell are they doing on a bill like that? The absolute nadir of Queen live........ Karaoke hits at best. |
Richard Orchard 16.07.2013 01:46 |
I think Adam Lambert is great with Brian and Roger.... |
queenUSA 16.07.2013 08:16 |
And now we know what Brian and Roger were being so coy about and saying they could not discuss earlier this year. Expect for them to steal the show and no one saw it coming. |
Pingfah 16.07.2013 10:46 |
Spare us. |
Russian Headlong 16.07.2013 16:59 |
dear oh dear, lambert is SHIT!, more embarassment |
inu-liger 16.07.2013 18:55 |
You know what's REALLY shit? People wasting time and bandwidth turning this more into Moanzone each and every passing day, when they could be diverting their energy making much more productive use of their times. |
The Real Wizard 16.07.2013 22:21 |
Say what you want about Lambert - he's an extremely good singer, and a fuck load richer than any of us. Nobody is a perfect fit to replace Freddie. We can pick it apart, or see it as a plus that Brian and Roger are still motivated to play music. Lambert does plenty of the songs justice - like Who Wants To Live Forever. Just take it for what it is - a hugely high profile gig. Indeed, this may be Brian and Roger's biggest gig in decades. |
pittrek 17.07.2013 01:17 |
I always thought he's an extremely BAD singer with a GREAT voice |
matt z 17.07.2013 02:34 |
Ditto pittrek AND QUEEN USA. bad singer. .. non artist, but they're likely to steal the show. (If it's a festival it's over a couple days) Would be nice to have a wake up call to any boring generation kids raised on loops and drugs. (Usa) I welcome it. Even if Lambert isn't much of a fit. Yes he did do WWTLF some justice. |
Queen4ever13 17.07.2013 11:35 |
The guys enjoy playing, just a poor choice of a lead singer. Resurrect George Michael since Freddie is impossible! Anyone but that wanna be. |
Russian Headlong 17.07.2013 17:10 |
paul rodgers, jeff scott soto, matt bellamy, justin hawkins, marc martel all are better and would be better than that prick lambert |

Russian Headlong wrote: paul rodgers, jeff scott soto, matt bellamy, justin hawkins, marc martel all are better and would be better than that prick lambertBut in the US it's Lambert that has the star power - probably more than all of them combined. That said, Muse is pretty damn big now. |
tomcat39 17.07.2013 20:39 |
I would go, but these tickets are impossible to get! Reseller prices are ridiculous. All the commercials I've heard list Queen last, they are stealing all the buzz :) |

Lambert & Queen i mean Queen&Lambert set-list announced; We will rock you We will rock you *Encore*We will rock you *Encore 2* We will rock you, We will rock you-(Milk it - Remix) |

"But in the US it's Lambert that has the star power - probably more than all of them combined" Honestly I think that's overstating it. If by 'star power' we're talking about hooking large numbers of teenagers who know how to make that awful shriek sound that's briefly sampled in "C-Lebrity" (indeed, if you're really looking for that breed of A-class muppet to front your band) then I suppose Lambert's the guy for the job. If that's what star power is, then fuck him, stars are shit. And it sucks because the guy has chops, but that's where it begins and ends. Having the ability to do a good thing is rendered moot when you continually fuck about and refuse to serve the songs. It's frustrating to listen to because the guy really did impress me when he first drifted onto telly. |

Great pop voice, not great rock voice. B & R using his fame to try to reach new audience and appear relevant, AL using B & R and Queen's position for credibility, good trade off for both parties. |

Lambert reminds me of the lead singer for No Vacancy in School of Rock. |

Adam Lambert is great and i'm glad that he agreed to do thid show with the band. The kid is an extraordinary singer and very talented. THis will be the very much anticipated chance that Queen were expecting to have in America for over 30 years now. I expect great things in the future if they do well at this concert. Great news! |

I don't even like the fact that they play Freddie singing We Will Rock You to advertise the iheart fesival in Vegas on the radio. That's misrepresentation. Why don't they play it with Lambert singing lead if that's who they're playing with? They wouldn't cause he stinks. |

I texted a radio station to try and win tickets, I lost, and I was probably charged for the text. It would be cool to go, but I'm not too worried about it. I'll probably check it out on youtube after the show. I'm going to Black Sabbath today! I'm more excited about that than I would ever be for Queen + Lambert. |
DLCVinnuendo 25.07.2013 15:20 |
let's hope that this "duet" won't come a blu ray release in a future |
john bodega 27.07.2013 09:29 |
My guess is they've been trying to record -the- killer gig for a live release, but they keep having to put it off because of the substandard showings by the singer. |

I doubt there will be any tours with Adam Lambert. TRANSLATION: Why oversee a tribute band instead of reforming Queen with a guest singer like they have already done with Paul Rogers and Adam Lambert? Wow...if that's true what Roger said then that's terrible. He must be in horrible shape...health problems? That's really sad. Does that mean no solo tour for Roger?! That would be REALLY disappointing after waiting years for his new solo studio l.p. to come out. |

Adam talks about performing with Queen at 1:26. You have to appreciate how well he did with such a long set in front of such a massive audience with such little time to prepare. |
