Its a lovely cover. But I'm sorry to see Brian's social concerns are entering into his music. But I guess that's where his heart seems to be these days. And I guess he can afford to put out anything he wants. And I'd much rather he do this than disappear like John I guess..
The original link posted is blocked here on EMI copyright or whatever, but I'm pretty sure the second last verse on Kerry and Brian's is an add on from the original. The "nobody has the right to decide if you live or die today" (paraphrased) and the rest of that stanza doesn't fit the tone or the feeling of the original as I recall it.
Anyway, if I had the skills I'd videoshop them singing it with great passion and tenderness through a microscope at an m. bovis bacterium. That would make me LOL. And be at least as honest as what he's been up to lately.
I have been using internet forums for lots of years and perhaps this forum is the one with the weirdest threads ever:
Brian gay?
Roger Homophobic?
Freddie's past lives?
I just cant remember how many weird threads I have seen in this forum.
Now, as a serious question, is there some kind of mod who can keep threads properly?
Yes there is. But unfortunately he lived past lives as both Oral Roberts and Liberace, at the same time (I guess you missed the time travel threads), so frankly it's all a bit of a mess. Mostly he just sobs and lets Richard and YV take the complaints.
Double post. Let me just say then that today is the day I have to buy Halloween candy to give out. Which makes tomorrow the day I'll have to replace it before 6 pm. Ha ha!
I posted brian may is gay as a laugh as the song is a joke come on this songs so gay!!! Im Gay and i wouldnt even play this tune if i had it in my collection..And the other link was Defying Gravity G-A-Y remix Brian mays last release....So cheer up...All im saying is this what we want a Matt Monro song covered be a legend Mr Brian May???? No No No....
he's not gay.
i think he's more obsessed with his image these days...and he's aiming for the albert einstein "wild hair, therefore must be of superior intellect" look

Exactly. It's important that Brian's songs don't have any meaning. Everyone should be writing like Motley Crue and Nicky Minaj.
Hi Wizard
I think if Brian makes his music too serious it will become boring. One cover is fine I guess. I think the danger is that Brian could turn into a wet shirt. I love his solo albums, probably because they are musically interesting and fun and some of the songs like Love Token and The Business really have balls.
You guys leave my beloved Brian ALONE! ....If he wants to write about sick badgers, LET HIM !!!!! ,,,.....OR I SWEAR TO GOD,,....@$#^^%&* !!! (oooh, I hope the new 'Born Free' song has funky horns and stuff.!!!
or you "swear to god" what?
face facts: for most of the last 15 yrs most of Brian's non-musical life has been embarrassing in his apparent quest for intellectual/humanitarian supremecy - and his musical life has been a shit-fest of turd-laced sellouts encrusted with stinks-of-desperation scatalogical colaborations that no respected rock band would stoop so low as to dirty their hands on
5ive, blobbie williams, mcbluebottle, wwry musical, american idol, andrew lloyd webber, kerry ellis, pepsi ads, jennifer rush, cliff richard, sas band, claire sweeney, andrea corr, lady gaga, adam lambert, jessie j, dappy,
it's a veritable who's who of what's not to buy

Brian used to be in this funky horn band but understandably kept getting booed by the audience. It just didn't work out. link
I think you all are missing the point here.
If you were spanking that boot, YOU'D have played on her album too!
I mean, damn... She's got a good one, I'd guess she were welsh or a New Zealander, british chicks don't don those kinda curves too often, biological/societal thing most likely, unless her family tree had a lot of street walkers in it
;) grain of salt, my friends
Brian May is grey! And it looks weird. Jimmy Page can handle it but Brian just looks like The Simpsons' catwoman. He should consider straightening his hair. Then he should consider becoming a rock star again. I miss that guy.
