Has anyone else seen this new Queen book yet ? Just got mine through today...!
Its Amazing - there are some glorious pictures of Smile in the recording studio and many Queen pics I have not seen before....
Available at Play.com
I popped into a book shop to pick up the hince book and saw this one. It looks brilliant - maybe focussing too much on the really early stuff. Either way, I didn't get either as 20 SHEETS for both is a bit steep. I'd like the hince one but it looks badly written and not eactly brimming with pictures.
Peter Hince's book was crap, focussed on how much sex he got rather than on what it was like to work with the band. I was really hoping for more on the relationships within the group. Queen: On Camera, off Gaurd was great!
Good bump. I ended up getting the Hince one and enjoyed reading it I must say. Still need to get this other one - I guess it's the typr of book that ends up in HMV sales for 5 SHEETS.
this was my first Queen book and it's just amazing. some beautiful Montreux photos and the ones taken in Freddie's flat in 1974. text does have some mistakes but if you're interested in pre-Queen/70s Queen, you should definitely buy this book
I think, this version was never released. Looks like autor has changed his plans, expanded time frames till 1991 and threw off all 'excesses'. I haven't seen any other versions of this book in any stores.
If I remember correctly, the book released without DVD. This is first announcement edition of cover. They changed cover and released the book without DVD.
