QueenZone discussion #991669
What is the best cd and song by Queen?
| EmmaJane 03.05.2007 16:47 |
I liked to know what cd is your favorite! I just have the greatest hits so it doesn't really count. But my favorite song is between Killer Queen and Save Me and Bicycle Race. EmmaJane |

It's great that you have discovered GH1, but since this is QueenZone I should probably say something nasty like "This is why we need a separate forum for idiots", or something like that. |
| EmmaJane 03.05.2007 17:13 |
I am sorry but I thought this was a good topic to talk about with other Queen Fans. What you said was very hurtful. I am only 15. I didn't think it was such a bad topic. |

No wonder he is known as Account Deleted. |

Thanks Nathan! That really made my day! :) EmmaJane |

I'll be nice. *twitches* Favorite album: Innuendo...it was Queen's finest album in my opinion. Favorite Song: At the moment I'll say These Are The Days of Our Lives, but in about 10 minutes that will change. |

EmmaJaneumm..mine change to whatever Queen I'm listening to, When I was at school waiting for the Deputy to scream at me I was listening to The Miracle and thought that it was great and my favourite (I am so glad Mrs. Cefarin likes to work to Queen :]((she's one of the ladies who works in the office))) and when I got home (After my mum screamed at me for being screamed at by the deputy) I listened to White Man and thought that it was my favourite, and then it changed to My Melancholy Blues ... which means my favourite is anything Queen |

I was 15 when I got Greatest Hits and I had a treat because I had never heard Somebody to Love, Good Old-fashioned Loverboy or Seven Seas of Rhye before! |
| LadySonnet 04.05.2007 07:33 |
Dear Emma, Although I'm not regular on Queenzone.com exactly because of such an attitude that you have just experienced I would like to welcome you in the big Queen fan community! I was approximately 15 when I also got Greatest Hits 1 and fell in love in Good Old Fassioned Lover Boy - ever since. So this is the answer to your first question. The second question is about an album - Queen have made many terrific things but if you want to hear something that is beyond words I would strongly recommend you to find Freddie's solo work - namely "Barcelona"-album! It is beyond compare to anything you have ever heard. Welcome again and try to enjoy your stay here nevertheless of some persons whose ego of being top of the top of the fans prevented them to hear such words like "maners", "dignity" and "tolerance". Best regards, Eliza |

Welcome, dear! I'd definitely try to find Queen II if I were you. It is a wonderful album. You'll know the essence of Queen once you buy this one. My favorite song is of The Works album at the moment: Keep Passing the Open Windows. |
| deleted user 04.05.2007 10:59 |
Favorite Album: A Night at the Opera Favorite Song: Almost like everyone else, it changes every so often, but thats the beauty of it! Welcome to QZ by the way and ignore some of these guys and their comments. |

CD: Sheer Heart Attack Song: Another One Bites The Dust |
| JoxerTheDeityPirate 04.05.2007 14:21 |
the answer to both your questions is Innuendo |
| Another queen fanatic 04.05.2007 14:33 |
the best CD is innuendo, and a recommended look beyond GH1, although I was recently given the game so going through a "The Game" phase atm, and quite like Coming Soon. Usually I just give a different answer to this question each time I'm asked it. |
| Deacon Fan 04.05.2007 14:54 |
I don't really care for Queen anymore. |
| Jdchristensen 04.05.2007 16:03 |
Best CD: Innuendo Best Song: Toss up between "I'm Going Slightly Mad" and "The Millionaire Waltz" |
| deleted user 04.05.2007 16:15 |
Favourite album is either "Innuendo" or "Queen II". I don't know. "Sheer Heart Attack" was the one that really got me into Queen. It's weird to call them "CDs"... :P Also - NEVER use your age as an excuse (unless it's "I'm 73, it's not my fault I'm incontinent"), or allude to it as one. I am not trying to be "mean" by this - but it is simply about respect. Favourite song... I can't pick. Also, if you have a "Best Buy" in your area, I find they have a really good selection of Queen CDs - I've seen everything from "A Kind of Magic" to "Queen" there. And the prices aren't bad and you don't have to wait a week or to for the order to come in (I ordered most of my CDs from a local book-store). Also, though not Queen - "Barcelona" (the album) is great. *Foist* |

My favourite album is A Day At the Races, but I really really like News of the World, too... I have a new favorite song nearly every day. My last few were Killer Queen, Don't Stop Me Now, and my latest has been The March of the Black Queen... :) p.s. If you just look, Queen CDs aren't THAT hard to come by, I got my News of the World CD at Wal-Mart. :) p.p.s. Welcome to QZ! You can be on my friend list if you'd like... :) |
| theczone 04.05.2007 18:44 |
Mine, for what it is worth, are - You take millionaire waltz and one I turn up loud coming soon. Hard to pick - I know what I do not like really We Will Rock You and We are the CHapions - Anthems yes but not on my ipod or my musical fidelity. |

It looks like the 2 favorite Queen cds are QueenII and Innuendo! And the favorite songs choice just depends on what mood you are in. Thanks for the feedback everyone who was nice to me! EmmaJane |

Best album: Queen II - this album alone defines Queen. Best song: Spread Your Wings from "News Of The World". Best song ever. But "In Only Seven Days" is also great, it's growing on me. |
| lyricalassasin77 05.05.2007 12:56 |
Funny you mention that song "In Only Seven Days" cuz its been growing on me quite a bit too... |

In the past I've noticed Queen II seems to win most Queen album polls (and it's my favorite), though A Night At The Opera is generally regarded a good one to start with also since there are so many musical styles on it (same with Sheer Heart Attack and A Day At The Races). Some songs a lot of Queen fans seem to like but aren't on the compilation albums are March Of The Black Queen, It's Late, Liar, The Prophet's Song, and Love Of My Life.... |

EmmaJane wrote: It looks like the 2 favorite Queen cds are QueenII and Innuendo!Yeah, those are great albums, but if you only have GH1, I wouldn't recommend to buy Queen II next. It's also quite strange and demanding album, and might be too much to swallow for a beginner such as you. Anyway, my favourite album: II Favourite songs: Innuendo, I Want It All, "The White Side of II" just to name a few... |
| EmmaJane 07.05.2007 20:30 |
Alright I will check those out! |

I can't name a favourite,as I truly love them all. But some of my very favourite songs are: Going Back, Mad The Swine, Don't Try So Hard, Don't Lose Your Head, Ride The Wild Wind, Living On My Own, Radio Gaga, Delilah, Cool Cat, Seaside Rendezvous, A Kind of Magic, I'm Going Slightly Mad... |

The high notes in Cool Cat are sooo sexy. ;) Rawr. |
