Sound Quality is VERY GOOD (missing God Save the Queen)

Please visit link and go to the Share the Music link on the menu to the right. That is where I'll be posting new shows. Once I post my next show, the Boston 1982 download will be placed in the archive here link

OK, i look at it like this..
If someone does NOT have this show, they can download it from me, even though most of you claim is a shit version. THEN, if they find a better version, they can download it again, and delete the lesser quality version.
There are more important things in the world to worry about people, get over it.
I agree King Rat! To the people making the comments earlier: If you're going to go to all the trouble to bitch about his post, then be a little more constructive and post the link to the better version. If not, Shut Up.
Bob - Beat those mp3 bastards into submission with your "love your enemy" attitude.
I thought you were beginning to have a more tolerant, diplomatic attitudem and I thought you were stressing education over hate and threats.... but I guess it was not to be.
Oh well.
Gr8 King Rat, thank you!
SirGH, I understand your point very well and I appreciate your efforts to bring a certain basic quality into QZ. But please don't be unfair to those who don't pass your "quality control". If there's a superior version of this show, we all are glad to know about that, but unless you don't provide a link to it, you should be more polite.
Not all of us have the same knowledge about Queen bootlegs as you. And like somebody else said before: If I don't have this particular show yet, I'm glad to be able to listen to it while I'm waiting or searching for a better version.
But anyway, nobody shared more high quality recordings than you in recent times, so I can't really argue.
I'm just having fun... trying to provoke a reaction, from one or two people in particular. Mike, you really need a new catch phrase. The "beating mp3 users into submission" one is getting a bit old. :)
I'm not sure where I posted hate and threats. link is a good place to find that kind of thing, if you're into that.
I'm trying to figure out what people are saying when they are talking about first generation recordings. The reason I ask, is that I am the original taper of the Boston '82 show (along with Madison Square Garden 2/5/77, 12/1/77, 11/17/78, and Hartford 1980)who then subsequently traded copies to dozens of people in the Queen community over the last 15 years. As such, aren't I the only person with a first generation copy of the show?
Gr8 King Rat, I applaud your good intentions by sharing in MP3 for those who don't or can't use flac. Unfortunately, there are those who use the inferior quality recordings for monetary gains.
A perfect example of this is a cd purchase I made from a record store a few years back. It was a recording of Queen live from 1975 to 1979. It turned out to be 10 tracks ripped from Queen Live Killers (Which I already own) and 6 tracks from the 1975 Hammersmith Show. I paid 14.00 USD for the cd and later learned that I could have gotten better quality recording (Of The Hammersmith Show) from right here at QZ for free to boot. The Hammersmith recording quality from the CD is less than 75% as good as the "There Aint No Sanity Claus" version shared here. I'm not sure what the source was for the CD, but I can safely say that most of the Hammersmith shows shared here are much better than the one I purchased. My point is, unfortunately, there are a hand full of people out there who make money from these recordings and don't provide the best possible quality. I just hope the people who DL MP3 do so for for personal use only.
I still think though that MP3 fans should learn to DL flac and convert to mp3. At least you can convert to your own MP3 quality level rather than dl @ 128.
Why we are looking for low generation tapes? 'Cause they have the best sound! In the past, people duplicate tapes, making every generation a bit worser and the same goes for digital media! Spreading MP3's have the same effect like tapes in the old days, but with flac's we have the opportunity to stop this.
When I was new to Queen collecting, I didn't know a thing about flac's and i was ripped off from a so called "collector" with mp3 sourced shows! Later, I downloaded a show in Flac from QZ and compared it to one of his shows - and noticed the difference!
I'm not about bitching someone here who spread mp3's, but please...just think about it and the Queen fans who are still to come!

I've send you an email. Hope to hear from you!
Cheers!

Welcome! You have the master copies. There is only a generation if you copied it to another tape.
To everyone here who has a gripe with me having quality standards - now you see what can happen when you mention preserving quality. The original taper of five shows posted in the topic. If I had said "thanks for the mp3s", I doubt he would have had anything to add. Interesting, isn't it? :)
And particularly to those who think they cleverly noticed some kind of irony between my quality standards and my signature, loving one's enemy is something on a deeper spiritual level. It doesn't apply to choosing which digital format is best. Mp3 isn't my enemy, nor are people who think it's wise to circulate them. Technology will render mp3 to be obsolete... not me.
