What's the very first Queen song you ever heard? Mine was Another One Bites The Dust at my friend's house. I immediately went home and found my mom's old Queen tape..... and looked what happened! :P |
Vincent. 14.04.2007 14:06 |
hmph. I'm sure if I posted a Mika topic I'd have DOZENS of replies. :P |

Mine was Bicycle Race! I liked it a lot :D As a result, I bought The Gold Collection and the rest is history... |

My first time listening to Queen as a fan was listening to Somebody to Love in the car. It was the most passionate song I had ever heard. P.S. Mika is nothing like Queen. I don't know why people always compare him to Freddie. |
Vincent. 14.04.2007 15:28 |
^Yeah. I agree. Maybe he sounds just a teensy-weensy little bit like Freddie with his falsetto, but not as much as everyone says. EDIT: Now I have 2 friends! YAAY! :D |

The first one was The Invisible Man! about 10 years ago in the car! Also in the car was the first time I have ever listened to ANATO! And I hated it! I was just a stupid kiddy listening to Coco Jambo and Macarena! Yet I loved The Invisible Man! :P ironic, is it not? :P |

People who were around when Freddie was are so lucky. I wish I was, but no. I heard it in the car in 2003. That's when I really got interested. |

im not gonna count we will rock u or we are the champions cuz i didn't even know it was queen till i was like 12. i'll just say bohemian rhapsody. i was five, and my brother told me it was a gay guy that died from aids. it made me sad. but i didn't get into queen until yeah, when i was 12. |

I'm not quite sure. I was born in 1987, and Queen is actually the first music I noticed when the radio was on. In the early 90s (probably around '92), they'd play things like Play The Game, Need Your Loving Tonight, Calling All Girls, Tie Your Mother Down, and Keep Yourself Alive constantly. Play The Game, Tie Your Mother Down, and Keep Yourself Alive was what I noticed and liked the most. I was only like five. I became a big Bryan Adams fan though when I understood music better... then in '99, my Mom bought me the Greatest Hits I & II package and it became an addication though I thought the songs The Show Must Go On, Headlong, Innuendo were quite strange for my tastes (Particularly Innuendo and The Show Must Go On)... now they are in my top five favorites! I'm a big Queen collector now. |

It was my mums fault that I first got into them...Crazy Little Thing Called Love.... actually I first heard Michael Buble' do that.... and I can't count We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions as my first songs either 'cause I...actually I really never even knew those songs...just: WE WILL ROCK YOU, FUCK YOU, STICK IT RIGHT UP YOU... |
Atheïst 15.04.2007 02:50 |
The Innuendo album used to be in my dads car on tape, so it must have been the song Innuendo itself. 1991 that was, what a shame! But, Innuendo, what an introduction...best CD I have ever heard ever since. |
you_rock_my_socks06 15.04.2007 04:59 |
'Bohemian Rhapsody' when it was sung on X Factor by G4 lol I thought it was the best song I had ever heard so I immediately started looking at other music by them. |
Freddies Delilah 15.04.2007 07:00 |
I really don't know what the very first song was. My dad used to listen to A Night At The Opera when I was little, plus I knew about We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions (though I didn't know that it was Queen who wrote them). Plus I was in love with Bicycle Race, which was on our computer (once again, I had no clue that that was by the 'Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon' people - what I called Queen then). So the song that really got me into Queen was Bohemian Rhapsody :) |
Grapes 15.04.2007 08:47 |
My brother used to play Queen greatest hits all the time and I used to shout 'Turn that shit off' ... then one day he did. And I was like.. 'bugger its gone. it was good.' so i snuck in to his room and nicked the CDs and now I have all of them :D |

The very first I dont remember. It probabily was We Are The Champions. But the song that opened my eyes to Queen world was Dont Stop Me Now. In an English class our teacher showed us We Are The Champions and I wanted to hear that song again. I knew that there was a Queen CD at home so I looked for it and I found it. I fell in love with many songs but my favourite was Dont Stop Me Now. |

I found a very old 'pirate' soviet tape with 'Greatest Hits II' at the house of my hometown (Kiev/Ukraine), so it could be possible that I already was surrounded by Queensongs as a very little kid:) But as far as i can remember, the first Queensong I heard 'consciously' was 'Death On Two Legs' on the ANATO album my father bought in 1994; I was 6 and I really thought it was an album with some highly original modern opera on it:) |

mine, like many others, was either "Bohemian Rhapsody" or "The Show Must Go On", I can't remember which though...but both were amazingly awesome songs nonetheless. |
