I wouldn't use a link in an e-mail anyway.
If you're going to take ANY precaution to something that sounds like an attempt to get your password - you should go to MySpace the usual way and change your password, not some link in an e-mail that's probably fraudulent.
You could also read about MySpace itself - many companies will state that they WILL NOT send you that sort of letter and to ignore it if you get one.
Just change your password the regular way - don't click the link (just clicking the link could get you in trouble in some cases). I mean, is your account doing something bad ? Are you sending letters you don't know about or whatever you do on MySpace ?
Change your password the conventional way - don't click the link.
Can you go to the "official" MySpace page and e-mail THEM - so you know that you're reaching / have been reached by "real" workers ?
Have you checked the web-site's own information regarding their policy on such e-mails ?
Yeah, I tried emailing the staff. I haven't been reached yet by a real person. I think it's just because I have a really weird problem. I mean, usually when people try to change their password, they don't get an error message. And I've made sure the new password and everything else meets all of the requirements. So for now I'm just waitng.
Jess, I shall message you when I get my MySpace back! :D
