Wow, good question. Stuff like talk shows last for decades of course.. but in their actual current configurations even those fail this test. (in the US anyway)
I think in the UK the longest runner is our Brian's favourite, The Sky At Night. But that wasn't your question.. sorry ;)
The Young And The Restless!!! OMG... Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... to be continued....
I read somewhere a while ago that As The World Turns (yes that horrible soap) is running for more than 50 years!! So that counts as '90, '80, '70, '60 and a part from the '50's, lol.

I guess that getting all the seasons in DVD will be quite expensive! :-)

Well ok then forget Eastenders. And Neighbours. And Home And Away as well......
And Coronation Street, that's been going since 1960.

Uhh...most soap operas have been on longer than the 80's. The Young and the Restless started in the 70's, I think.
Heh, I love how Home and Away came about from Channel 7 losing Neighbours. Not that I was alive to see that but...IT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD!
I love the English obsession with those two shows. I remember when my cousins came from Mannnnnnnnchester and they absolutely screamed at the TV when so and so did [event x] to Thingermajig. Strange kids. No wonder one is back in ol' Blighty and the other is floating around New Zealand.
They're the only two I can think of!
