on Paul's site it has been announced that he will be doing some solo shows in 2007 april/july. this imo could mean 2 things. 1.No Queen 2007 tour (Unlikely Judging By No. of Shows) 2.Paul warming up his voice before 2007 Queen tour link just wondered what u all thought |
Haystacks Calhoun II 03.01.2007 11:57 |
He's got 4 shows listed..... |
Micrówave 03.01.2007 12:55 |
Perhaps he's testing the waters down south to see if Queen might come to Texas this time!!! |

Haven't you people read the fan club magazine? The new album is expected to be released next autumn. So I guess we have to wait till then for a new tour. |
KRKillerQueen 03.01.2007 15:43 |
Those tour dates are to support the release of his new DVD that was recorded on his UK solo tour... |
AlexRocks 03.01.2007 15:54 |
I think him doing some solo dates are fine. I also think that it would be good if Queen were to start the tour for the new studio l.p. BEFORE it were released just to raise the interest level as high as possible for it... |

I would say late July/early August to the start of the tour! |

why would you start a tour in the summer when everybody is on holiday, that makes no sense. A tour will be in the autum most venues have a program that is till the summer and even Queen can't stand up and say now we are gonna play, it takes time |
Jjeroen 05.01.2007 04:13 |
LOL! Since when is Weert Amsterdam?? It's not even CLOSE to Amsterdam! Actually it could not be further away from Amsterdam!! Poor Paul - I hope he makes it to the stage in time! :-))) |

turini wrote: brian may said in an interview there is a POSSIBLE tour in summer 2007And now it seems this summer tour will NOT happen. They'd need time to practise their set, and Paul seems to be very busy with his solo career during the spring. So, the new album & tour will probably take place in autumn. |

Is Paul Rodgers really worth driving to Atlanta for? Hmmm...... ;-) |

iron eagle wrote: but of course great venue--- of course as long as its not raining *LOL*So, how big is this joint anyways? Kinda surprised he's doin' 2 dates in one place. You going to both, iron? |
Jjeroen 10.01.2007 18:34 |
Well, I probably WILL be seeing Paul at the Bospop festival in Weert. (I get sent there every year to write a review, so I assume this year will not be any different :-) I already requested an interview with the man. If the request will be granted, you can be assured I get things cleared up about the album and the tour - and I'll keep you informed of course! ;-) |
Erin 11.01.2007 14:38 |
Awesome, Jeroen! While you're at it, tell Paul that they need a South Carolina tour date on the next US tour..;-P |

jeroen wrote: I already requested an interview with the man. If the request will be granted, you can be assured I get things cleared up about the album and the tour - and I'll keep you informed of course! ;-)Paul's likely to say some of the following regarding the album and tour: a) What album? That's the first I heard of it b) It's really just a couple of tracks c) We have no plans to tour again. Where did you get that information from? |
Knute 12.01.2007 00:59 |
It's true Pieter. I realize now that Bri and Rog are prone to hyperbole. "We change up the setlist every night"...... Remember that one? "The tracks are epic" or "We could have a double album"..has that same kind of hollow ring to it I'm afraid. So I would not be surprised at all if the truth was they had 3 or 4 far-from-finished tracks in the can, and that was it. And the more time that passes the more crtical they will become of it, and the less likely it is to see the light of day. Sorry to sound so pessimistic, but I have to acknowledge those possibilities. |
Erin 12.01.2007 11:26 |
Wow, Knute, aren't you Mr. Sunshine? ;-P |

That was pretty funny Knute! I don't agree though! I would like to say that I drove from Columbia, South Caronlina to see Queen + Paul Rodgers! Boy was it worth it too! ...and YES! Queen should play in Columbia, South Carolina on their next tour! I don't know how they would do to be honest...it's hard to fill the seats at the Carolina Colliseum...or Verizon Wireless Center...or whatever it's called. As it is people around here think Queen are fags and would beat them up if they came...on second thought...maybe they shouldn't come. I wish they would and could safely and succesfully though! |

It's the Colonial Center, and Verizon Wireless is in Charlotte. Are you sure you live in Columbia? :-S |

The longer it takes to record the new Queen/PR album the better as far as I'm concerned. 50 years from now would be about right. In the meantime we can enjoy Paul playing his own music with his own band. Great stuff. Even better if he brings Bad Company back together again. Last time they reunited they were excellent. |
