Yeah, I'm the kind of person who can become absolutely obsessed with a movie without even having watched the whole thing... thank God for youtube, eh? :P So if you've watched the movie, please give me some feedback on it! It'll be VERY much appreciated... :D |
Mr.Jingles 27.12.2006 17:10 |
Hate it or love it movie. I absolutely fuckin' hate it, but I have to admit the music is good. Especially the song with Meat Loaf. |
iGSM 27.12.2006 19:02 |
Sadly I am in the latter too.. I can not stand Fatloaf. Worst person ever. Meatloaf makes Hitler look like a cunting Saint who, in his spare time, fucked little children making him a horrible candidate for Sainthood. I actually fell asleep during the movie. I never do that but obviously that movie was so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so bad that my brain shut down so I didn't have to watch this triiiiiiipe. So in short, yeah. I'm no fan. Just remember - Hitler better than Meatloaf. |

Eh....it's a cult classic. I think everyone should watch it once, just so you know what it's about. But it's weak and plot and in places VERY disturbing, so once is really all you need. |

Depends on what you can handle. For me, seeing Tim Curry in a corset, thigh highs with garters and high heels, walking around screwing both the guy and the girl in the story is on the disturbing side. To some others...maybe not so much. Like I said, it's somethine everyone should see once, but once is generally enough. |
Carol! the Musical 27.12.2006 23:50 |
^ Oh, that part! I saw that scene, and it had me in stitches... and I enjoyed the corset and high heels very much. ;) |

Excellent music, terrible "storyline." It's pretty much unbearable during any moment where music is not playing, but all in all, I like it. I'd be satisfied just listening to the soundtrack, though. |
john bodega 28.12.2006 04:42 |
Music is great. The movie is admittedly silly.... thats all I can say, really. I love watching Meatloaf get killed though. The narrator/criminologist dancing on the table during Time Warp is actually pretty funny. I always thought Freddie would've made a better Frankenfurter. Oh well. |
iGSM 28.12.2006 06:56 |
Time Warp is the one saving grace. |
john bodega 28.12.2006 08:12 |
Really? I hate tapdancing, I always found that bit redundant! The rest of the song rocks though. Actually I was always fond of that "I'm Going Home" song later on in the movie. And the song at the end is quite pretty. |

I love the movie! The songs, the whole plot and the characters. Tim Curry is amazing as Frank-n-Furter!! :D |
AspiringPhilosophe 28.12.2006 14:00 |
Tim Curry does a good job with the role I'll admit. Too bad he doesn't fess up to even doing the part now. Freddie as Dr. Frank-n-Furter? Hmm...that would have been interesting to be sure. |
Sherwood Forest 28.12.2006 16:32 |
yes an awesome movie one of the best definitely love it or hate it i looooooovee ittttt its different nothing like anything i have ever seen heres a fun fact, Tim Curry who is Dr. Frankenfurter also plays the voice of Nigel Thornberry on the Nickelodeon show The Wild Thornberrys |

And for yeeeeeears, Barry Bostwick, who played Brad ("asshole!") was emcee for "A Capitol 4th" - the yearly 4th of July program on TV in Washington DC. I have to say, he was PERFECT at doing that cheesey program, year after year. I went to the 2003 dress rehearsal on July 3, and he cracked me up. There was some silly light mishap during one of his emcee bits, and they all went out... a few seconds later, in the darkness, one could hear, "I want you all to know, that wasn't my fault." This year Jason Alexander was the emcee. I was soooo disappointed, LOL. |

I love that film, its like one of the best cult films/musicals ever. Nothing better then a quite disturbing campy musical. I have never seen it live though, one day i will! I was in a sort of amatuer thing when i was in college, that was class!. Overall music and acting very good indeed, storyline practically non existant, but you can't heve everything. My favorite quote: brad: What have you done with janet!? frank: Nothing. why do you think i should? |

I bought it today because I've been getting signs... Sign 1:This topic! Sign 2:At borders, I saw it on the search engine. So I cleared it and made my own search. While browsing DVDs, I saw it right out of place! And then I went back to the same search computer--someone had searched it again! So when I went back to the location... It was gone. O_O Sign 3:I was browsing through suncoast at the mall today, I round a corner, and.... AHHH! THERE HE IS! DR. FRANK N. FURTER IN HIS BLACK LACY GARTERS SITTING IN BETWEEN A PAIR OF LIPS! LOOKING STRAIGHT AT ME! ON A MOVIE POSTER! And I had enough. I bought it for ten bucks. What a bargain. :PP |

Great music, but overall it's pretty overrated. |
Sergei. 31.12.2006 16:03 |
Three years ago I thought it was sad when Frank N. Furter's all wet and gets shot down by that Riff Raff guy with laser beams.:P I watched it until one last night. Then I woke up this morning and watched it four more times with all the special features added in, like commentary and "audience interaction," which was extremely annoying. I think I've memorized the whole thing now. :PP It may sound like I have no life, but actually today it's raining and I'm quite bored. xD |

At a rather odd 11th birthday party of mine thrown by old relatives ages 40 to 60 (On my dad's mom's side, who is british), I was watching it on TV (mind, at my birthday party I was watching TV while everyone else was making merry...) and the "Time Warp" came on! All the old great aunts in their 40s who were drunk started taking off their shoes and dancing along. The room smelled like cabbage. |

... I rented it. I was going to wait to see it in the theatre - because last year people told me I should see it after I drew an alien (who, to his credit, was greenish) in clothing that, now that I've seen this Frank N. Furter fellow - looks EXACTLY like him, but the clothes are in gold. Well, I've seen films that made about that much sense before... And I've seen films that were so bad I stopped watching them (I left "Aeon Flux" after about five minutes). This one made me laugh, though I'm easily amused. The most disturbing thing about the whole film is the fact that I've been dressing aliens in similar clothing for a damned long time... |
