Why if people genuinly care about someone, do they think it's OK to deface his property? That's pretty bad, but take one thing into consideration: Mary Austin's contributions to this world in no way merit her vast fortune. She was in the right place at the right time. Given that, and the piles of money that she sits on, why not hire a full-time security force to walk the grounds. So I have no pity for her... she could move to another castle. |

I think it must (obviously) be annoying to have somebody write on the door to your garden and have randoms buzzing your intercom...it would freak me out anyway. For the comments that said she could move out, well, maybe she doesnt WANT to move out. Freddie left her the house with the obvious intent for her to take care of and live in, and maybe she LIKES the house for christs sake. And would YOU want armed guards walking round your property? |

I can't see this video but in Queens heaven for everyone video the wall can be seen...with all the grafiti on it...I saw the house in the same year ('95) myself and it made a great impression on me... Don't forget that there is no grave or something. (Of course there is the statue) I don't like grafiti, but this was a nice tribute to Freddie...It looked really impressive before they removed the grafiti; the wall looks kinda chemical nowadays |

The scary thing about the graffiti is that some fans actually think they are entitled to write on the wall, because there is no resting place for Freddie. I don't understand the graffiti for the mere fact that it is now Mary's home and she has a right to not want people to deface her property. It's certainly a nuisance to have to paint over it so regularly, but imagine how much of a downer it is for her to have to be constantly reminded of his death, etc.... |

Disgusting, I cant believe I just watched part of that crap... Fine if you want to visit and take a pic of yourself there and keep on your way. Even leave some flowers outside the door. But you're able to do that at the statue as well. I understand being a fan wanting to go there. I would someday. But to deface property like that, and to be so damn disrespectful to Mary and to Freddie is absolutely horrid. And to push the intercom... "AC/DC rules" feckin rubbish to do that... But the writing on the wall well, I agree with radio-whats-new, It's not the end of the world. If Mary really hated it so much why allow that footage of the wall to be used in the video heaven for everyone? Because if you show that wall with all those things written on it, people will think: Heeey I can do that too and it will encourage people to write even more messages. In the early ninetees it just looked impressive and the messages were meant to be a tribute and I think that's why it was used in the video. Maybe Mary didn't mind the first years after Freddie's death but now she does? Actually my writing on the wall was shown in close up in the video heaven for everyone :O) and I only wrote on one litle brick stone early 1995 I believe. The wall was completely covered with messages when I was there. I don't feel guilty I wrote something on the wall once in 1995. I would never have written on one of the doors though. The wall surrounds the garden. The house is very well hidden behind the wall. There's a big garden before you actually reach the house itself. Mary has a lot of privacy. I agree though you shouldn't be buzzing the intercom or make (a lot of) noise when you are there outside. Just have some respect for everybody who lives in that street. Mary only sees the writing on the wall when she enters or leaves the gate in the surrounding wall. She can't see the people who are writing on the wall when she is inside the house and they can't see her. I can imagine she doesn't like it but nobody is able to see her, or the garden or the house and that's the most important thing I think. |
