YV: A simple & polite question - which I hope you will answer honestly. Recently in another thread you enqired about a 'Hangman' acetate. Based on all you have learned so far, if you owned something as rare, would you genuinely loan this to QPL?

Well, I've heard exactly the same story from himself, yes. About this German guy. Who filmed many more bands, like the Stones and David Bowie. But they are just stories, no proof at all!

Of course, a couple of people politely saying that we have been let down by (at the time) wild promises gives you the opportunity to back down without actually admitting you don't have it. ...would be one way of looking at that response. Read my post again and then re-read your overreaction to it. You're not doing anything to convince me that you have this footage. If you CAN convince me, I will happily run around half the internet proclaiming the inaccuracy of my preconception, and I'm sure YV & GB would be equally forthcoming is conceding that their lack of faith in you was unfounded. On QO there was a thread up a while back where a few of us tried to encourage QP to release some of the footage from the vault for the next DVD release - it was hinted that there was not much left in the vault nor was of it good enough quality or complete to be released on a dvd. I am rather miffed slightly with the mention that there are thousands of tapes in QP storage under Greg's care on this post. Hmm if there are indeed thousands of tapes don't you think it would be great if QP released some new footage for us to buy instead of the same stuff recycled all the time? Imagine it if they released new material out there from the vault from the days of Freddie - stuff we have never seen before. I don't understand what is gained by not releasing the footage officially for sale if there is this much footage sitting under Greg and QP finger tips. Brian did mention on his soap box that Roger and he have no say in the Freddie solo footage and it is to do with the estate of Freddie. But surely there must be Queen Footage in that 1000 pile of tapes collection QP has there. Maybe someone can clear this up for me.
