Which album do u guys prefer , i personally prefer the versions on The Great Pretender they are more upbeat and have some rock vibe to them...but thats just me i wanna kno what u guys think.
Well, thanks to getting a copied version thanks to a fellow Queenzoner here,I got to listen to MR.Bad Guy,and I love the album myself,it's great.
Yeah,GPT is good as well,I hope to get a copy of it as well.
Tough decision.
I find Mr. Bad Guy to be a bit more consistently good, but at the same time the stronger songs are primarily on The Great Pretender album, save my favorite, 'Man Made Paradise'. I prefer the MBG versions of 'Mr. Bad Guy' and 'You're My Kind of Lover', but the others I prefer on TGP.
I call it a perfect tie between the two.
Asterik wrote: Well when was The GP relased? I thought it was only a single in 1987, not an album. Could someone please correct my ignorance? Much appreciated.
In 1992 THE GREAT PRETENDER woz released in the US and in Europe THE FREDDIE MERCURY ALBUM.

The American version (called "The Great Pretender") has the following differences

My Love Is Dangerous (remixed by Jeff Lord-Alge) instead of Barcelona

I prefer the Love Kills and My Love Is Dangerous remixes to the original versions actually!

I only have The Great Pretender, and I was wondering why all of the versions I have heard on the internet and on the Greatest Hits 3 sounded different, because on The Great Pretender album all of the songs I was used to a certain were remixed with guitar.
Thank you. The tracklist shows to me that Queen, as early as 1992 were already definite on using I Was Born To Love You and Made In Heaven for the posthumous album even though they were singles off Mr Bad Guy.
