Good_Company50 07.07.2006 13:01 |
How insulting! Couldn't this person have take a bit of time to find out the name of this "other person?" Where was this from, BTW? |

I can't help but feel the journalist was being humorous with this comment. I don't think it was intended to snub John, merely highlighting his more "in-the-background" presence? |
blerp 08.07.2006 01:40 |
Well that put a smile on my face! Rather sad of course. |
deleted user 08.07.2006 05:38 |
There is no respect anymore... I cannot believe that the journalist was able to write that! If I was John, I would complain to the police! That's not an acceptable way to inform the people! |

i agree with saltnvinegar. i think that the journalist was attempting humour with this 'other one' remark. i found it quite funny actually. |

ahhahaa thats great lol, poor John |

saltnvinegar wrote: I can't help but feel the journalist was being humorous with this comment. You are really open-minded to see it in that light. I think it sounds pretty mean myself. |

That really fits in the line of other Queen things I laugh about. Remember two moments with Brian: - video shoot 1977 in Roger's snowy backyard (Spread Your Wings or WWRY), the director said something like "Could you tell him to move, the tall one, what's his name..." - on the Live at Wembley DVD bonus features, Brian backstage, wants to go somewhere where you need a pass to get through, and even he's got to show it to that security guy. |

DreaminQueen 09.07.2006 02:04 |
Damn! Where was that article when i had to use the bathroom?? So i could use it for TP and send it to the person who wrote it up to tell me how much i love his well researched work... Must have taken him months to do it too... It truly shows... Flippin tit.... |
JP Star 10.07.2006 07:07 |
Hilarious! It was intentional, obviously. Good one. Made me laugh. |

And here we are twenty-odd years later... Brian, Roger and the other one.... what's his name... Paul? Poor John indeed. |
i'm going slight mad... 05.11.2006 16:49 |
i found it fairly hilarious, actually. i think he was saying it as a joke. you know, cos the obvious members are freddie, brian and roger, they are the outrageous charaters, the ones that draw your attention and john...isn't! |
RETROLOVE 06.11.2006 04:20 |
Ahhhh, that was so mean, the other one :( |
Deacons 1st Choice 06.11.2006 19:49 |
Oh man..... How sad is that? I press story where they don't even have a clue as to who they are actually writing about? But then again...when has the press EVER known who they were really writing about?? It's stupidity like the talked about article that drvies one to drink........gasoline! John Deacon deserves better then the "forgetfullness" he has been subjected to in the press. It is no surprise that he has no interest in pursuing his "public" image these days, as going by the above, nobody seems interested in the least bit anyway. That's a pity, as i know loads here would be more then interested to see him come forth and have a chat. Maybe for Queen's "Farewell Tour" in 2019? |
Katastrophe Mercury 08.11.2006 15:20 |
*huggles Deaky* why does no one ever notice the quiet bassist of the band? *sad sigh* well, i'm sure that John's making waaaaaaaaaay more money just by sitting around now then that journalist... |

The prophet's song 10.11.2006 22:51 |
This reminds me of this incident: "In 1985 and following their success at the Rock in Rio, John thought he deserved a sports car so he bought a Porsche. One night, he left to attend a Phil Collins concert and after the show, the two ended up drinking some beers together. Turning back home, John was stopped by the police by excess of speed and failed a Breathalyser test. His driver's license was suspended for 12 months and for a whole year, Queen's bassist commuted by the Tube, without even being recognised!" |
rosedewitt 11.11.2006 14:19 |
lol what a shame on the author of that article lol. |
Bohemian MAY-niac/Deaconite 11.11.2006 14:47 |
Poor thing!! *gives Deaky a big hug* John deserves more than that in an article. Without him, all of Queen's songs would've fallen apart. He's one of the most important members of the group. :-) |
Smitty 11.11.2006 17:00 |
IT would have been better if the article had said: "...Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor, Brian May and Spike Edney..." |
