this posting is about you. So, dont say what you want OTHERS to do, choose something you can do, yourself, right now, in the future My question (consideration) is, what can YOU, yourself, do to make queenzone a nice place? I see so many people complaining, and pointing to others, but I seldom see what you, yourself want to do, what is in your possibiities, to make this a nice place. So, what's your plan to make this place better? And I dont mean silly things as taking over or changing lay-out or banning people. No, just you, yourself, what will you do to make this place a nice one? As you see I ask not for theories, I ask for things that you can and will realize. And understand me correct, I love queenzone, for over 8 years. I love it because of the good people who are there!! I look forward to see your constructive answer to that simple question (repeating it): What are you going to do with your own abilities to make queenzone an even nicer place then it already is? |

Besides I know I fought sometimes, but I always try to avoid them ;)Nice and wise written, I think. I think that that's where a bulletinboard is for (and queenzone is way more as we know). Else one should have named it bullyboard, right? As for me, one of the things that I do, as you see, post when I think I have something to say, and not even read subjects that are already from the subject title not worth to open it. |
Lisser 19.04.2006 10:03 |
I avoid the topics I feel don't add anything useful or positive to the board. I don't reply to trolls or fuel their fire. I voice my opinions peacefully and do not name call. I've been here for quite awhile too and I'm not going anywhere. This board has been good to me and I'll be good to it as well. :) *waves to hans* |

Well, I think my crusade for PainPleasure to become the new owner has been met with mixed results. On the one hand, people love him so much that they want him to be the new owner, but on the other hand, not enough people are signing the petition. Get over there and vote vote vote!!! On a personal level, I merely don't have enough time to post here as often as I used to. It's only now in certain spurts, but I don't expect to be posting here quite as much anymore. So really, I'm helping by not filling this board with even more crap that it's currently bombarded with. You're welcome! |

I think too often people are joking but are thought to be making insults. That causes others to become defensive and argumentative. Because of that, I often do not post because I'm afraid that what I write will be taken the wrong way. And when I read, I try to find the humor in what is said instead of assume it's meant as insult. I wish I could add what Lisser said about not replying to spammers, but I do find myself doing that at times. :-( I am so ashamed. <sniff> |

I guess I'm going to try to bring humor back to the boards, at least when I post as infrequently as I do. Does anyone remember laughter? No problem in that, but I think it is good when you realize what you are doing when you do so. You help to keep the 'spirit' (good or evil) going of the one that you react on. I think that the huge challenge of Queenzone has to do as well with all the cultures and I understand that one is trying to be even more funny then the other one. Nothing wrong with that, it makes it a nice melting pot and for people who realy, seriously, are concerning about this place it is not asked much to just consider if there is effort that you can make. Your own little help, most of all for yourself, and by sharing here you can even maybe get others as well so far that they find a way of handling it. When you say things wrong or are misunderstood, then there is always a possibility to say I'm sorry, to just get back to the essential and react on that instead of joining and reacting at all kind of (more or less) sick comments. Erin wrote: Ummm...uhhh....I don't know what I can do. Oh well..:-)Not everyone needs to change his or her Queenzone behavior, I think, Erin! :) But, seriously, you know even better then me that there are many who want to have a nice time here in Queenzone. If you think your behavior is okay, and it is good for you, why changing it then? In fact I think the same of myself ;), this might be an opportunity to see if someone has good ideas or whatever, for himself. And about how QZ can be improved technically (pictures and profiles), there is a nice section for that as well. Here it is about what you PERSONALLY do, will do, want do do (or what you dont) |

I'm not sure what I can use my "abilities" to do. However, I will keep thinking twice before I post something. I've been improving a bit on that. On average I click the reply button twice a day and type out a post and then question if it is really a good idea, and then delete it. P.S. I think this is a wonderful topic, Hans! |

** bumps it up ** I think there are more good ideas. I know there are, so come on, dont be shy, you're not pinned on what you write, it is the fact that you TRY to make things better what counts. I just reacted (not overreacted) pretty hard at a posting in another topic, I made the mistake to read things that I should not read. Do I doubt it? No, because I am me, myself. When I see other people being attacked in an unfair way, I stand up and say what I have to say Moral knights or not, it is too easy to just attack or blame someone and then run away There is a song, you know, if you cant beat them join them and I am convinced that when you try to make things better, for yourself, it sure has a positive effect on others and on how people think about you. I dont need to hide my weakness, in trying to be better (and failing). Why should I? I at least give it a try! And you? |

A well meant topic, with true meanings is soon colored by attacks and things that better should not be said. But it is so easy to be a hero and insult or attack behind your keyboard, what is not the same as when you meet the same person face to face. I so often hear people, young and old, complaining, about the board, about the chat, and I rarely see anyone trying to make it better Is it so that it is useless? Or is it just that we do not think it is worth to try at least to make this a happy place for yourself and for the one who reacts on what you write? Isnt it a challenge to show that you are also able to put some positive input at the board? Is it wrong to look to yourself and consider what you do? I think that it doesnt hurt you. there are also elder 'young fans' that just have that destructive contribution, so I don't blame it on age, more on a way that they try to get attention And if it ends in getting a kiss, then I think the goal is reached! Gives maria a gentle kiss at her cheek |
