Brianmay.com published the Official Setlist for tonight's gig in Cleveland. Same songs as the last couple of shows but they changed the order. Now Dragon Attack precedes AOBTD and Under Pressure was moved more near the end. Maybe they thought the audience had reacted positively to Under Pressure. This means that they probably will keep it in the following setlists, Cool! :) Here's the setlist... Had a great time tonight!! No major flubs..;-) Enjoyed seeing William, Haystacks, and Richard..(if you still look on here!) Jeroen..were you there? Brian was funny.. When he went to the end of the catwalk for LOML, he let out this huge scream! ;-D I'd say the place was around 80% full. The only real obvious gaps were in the corners of the arena from what I could tell at my vantage point. The crowd was a heck of a lot better than Pittsburgh, although I did see quite a few people sitting in the stands. Good times, good times..;-D |

Just got home, show was AMAZING, everything I expected and more. Crowd was pretty good, like said before I'd say 80% + full. I was in section 127, I'd say most of them stood the whole time (I DID). Songs that got the most reaction were Radio GAGA (crowd did very weil with the clapping!), BoRap, and of course the encore songs. Sorry I don't have pics as of yet, my digital camera is ancient and sucks at distance shots so I used a disposable, I dunno how they'll turn out. I'm wondering, how did the crowd compare to other shows (this is the only one I was able to make)? It was a damn good show, I wish Freddie would've been there. Paul did as good of job as could be expected. Not everyone thought this tour was a good idea, but I appreciate Brian and Rog for having the balls to do it, without them I would've never heard these songs live. Seeing them in action was brilliant. Half of Queen is still better than any other band out there now IMO. I look forward to seeing some of your guys' photos and your take on it ROCK ON! |
romefan 22.03.2006 00:59 |
Well-said, Rickell...you're spot on. This band on it's worst night, without it's lead singer, and a half-empty arena still kicks the crap outta practically any band I could name. |

Finally made it back, the concert was IMO better then NJ even with less people, seeing a 80 year old grandma dancing for about 3 songs really is something and 15 year old kids holding up "Long live Freddie" signs was also something. So Happy they played IWTBF and UP and I do like that version of Dragon attack. All the Bad company/Free songs seemed to get a huge amount of clapping compared to some of the Queen songs. They should Drop Radio Ga Ga, or atleast have some one other then Roger sing it, he sings good but has no emotion for that song. I think I seen Jereon, I did see some one holding a dutch flag, and also another person holding what I think I was the French flag. |

Security: I had a big ol' purse, full of girl scout cookies, two cameras and $ store products. The security guy started to laugh and never checked through everything. I could have gotten away with a proper camera if I had one. The show was fun, I think I enjoyed it better than NJ. Would have preferred to stand up and dance, but up there it was too steep. The only ones dancing close to us were clearly drunk to their brains. P & E nice to see you two at the HRC. I know Bill enjoyed it. Anybody meeting anywhere for the Detroit show? |
7Innuendo7 22.03.2006 13:33 |
OMG! Cleveland was magic :) The crowd really enjoyed the Bad Co and Free material, and there were probably 3x the size crowd of Pittsburgh. Danny had some great moments, esp the Dragon Attack solo...Mary scored great tix and we sat three rows from the stage. Amazing, Thanks guys! |

Based on fan reviews, the band probably would have been well served to have bypassed Buffalo and Pittsburgh. Maybe then Cleveland would have sold out. I caught the Cleveland show last night. The band played well. The audience was not as energetic as I hoped, but what can you do? My only other comment is that I wish Queen would pick up the tempo on some of the tunes (Radio GaGa, FBG, and The Show Must Go On come to mind). The tracks come off more heavy than hard, which I think takes some excitement out of the equation. (Notice in Queen's Live Aid set how Radio GaGa was sped up a little -- it was great.) |

It would have been no sweat to get a video camera into there. No sweat at all. Our digital camera records video, I recorded a few minutes here and there of the show. Sound is suprisingly good, wish I had recorded more. Boy, did I get a TON of pics! The only problem I had was finding our way back to our hotel DRUNK in the freezing cold. That sucked. Once we got back, though, we continued to party down. What a fun day and night. Was very cool to meet Erin, Pieter, and Shay. They all probably think I'm wierd. ha ha ha |

Just getting around to making a post about my quick trip to Cleveland. The boys rocked Cleveland. The band was tight--much more than when I saw them in New Jersey last year, IMO. The crowd, on the other hand, was pretty lame. Maybe it was just me, but I didn't think they were overly enthusiastic. Nothing like NJ last year. In fact, I thought besides "Under Pressure" and "Bohemian Rhapsody," the Bad Company songs got a bigger response than the Queen songs. I asked 2 different security people if they knew how many tickets were sold--they both said a little over 7,000. I thought "Under Pressure" was kick ass (other than Brian's attempt at falsetto...lol). Didn't think they were gonna play it since it didn't come in the middle of the set like it had been at earlier shows. Could have done without "I Want To Break Free" (like the studio version but never cared for the live version--even with Freddie). I thought "Take Love" sounded more like a Paul Rodgers solo song or maybe a reject from one of the songs he wrote for the Bad Company reunion back in 1999-2000 that may have been reworked?? Was an OK song--just wasn't very memorable, IMO. "Dragon Attack" was simply awesome. Overall, I'm extra glad I went and had the best freakin' seats you could ask for for $80. Went to the Rock & Roll HoF this morning for about an hour or so. Had a couple Queen items on display--a replica of Brian's guitar, John's bass, Roger's News Of The World bass drum, and Freddie's Works tour costume. Overall, pretty much the same stuff in there as the last time I was there 5 years ago (although I would've killed for that Rolling Stones pinball machine). Wish my trip didn't have to be so quick. Didn't get out of the 'Nati 'til late on Tuesday 'cos of work so I didn't arrive in Cleveland til 6:30 so I missed the get-together at Hard Rock, and had to come back early today to finish the project (it was supposed to be in the mail on Monday...lol). But it was great to see Aaron P. and Pieter again, and great to meet Haystacks (even if they were all briefly). |

Hello :] I just wanted to say that the show was amazing to me: I laughed, I cried, I rocked out as hard as possible, knowing full well the sore muscles, etc... but the 5 hour drive to and fro was well, well worth it! The age ranges and overall enthusiasm for the show was just awesome... I was in the 10th row, Sec 3 and everyone around me seemed to have a pretty good time, although one lady was giving Paul a thumbs down everytime he came 'round & she didn't appear too pleased; we did the GaGa clapping and WWRY jazz, etc... I wasn't prepared for exactly how hard seeing Freddie on the screen and hearing that beautiful voice on BoRhap would hit me - I was a blubbery mess for awhile, but ey, what can you do? Sorry to go on and on, but I loved it - wished for IWIA instead of GaGa, even though I love that song.. but I am certainly not complaining. My sister took about 100 pics, hoping at least 50% turn out well. It's a pretty fickle camera - have video of part of Rog's drum solo and Break Free, and almost all of Love of my Life, but someone singing drowns out Brian during all of it - not me singing either :] And security kept looking to see if you were taking flash pics, or if you were holding the camera in one place for a bit - sneaky security too! :] Will post pictures soon as I can, for those interested :] Sorry for rambling! |

From claims that US fans do not know how to record shows to saying that all US fans suck. Every country has it's flaws you know. No country is perfect. |

Hey Masterstroke... It's "BASEBALL", you imbecile. Only the greatest game ever to be invented. Agree with you, however, that the US Fans were light when it came to atmosphere, enthusiasm, and energy. I will say in Buffalo, however, that as the show evolved, the energy really picked up, and piqued toward the ending 5 songs, as a great concert often will. But alas, this isn't Green Day, either, pal. |

I left there with one, make that two, brilliant but obvious observations. 1) Paul Rodgers can flat out fucking sing. Period. Sure, he is not Freddie, but folks, bitch all you want, the son of a bitch can flat out get it done. I left with a HUUUUGE amount of respect for Mr. Paul Rodgers. 2) Brian May, as a guitarist, is still the best in the game today. |

Patricio, Yo tambien soy argentina. Saludos. |

I see his point about U.S. fans. There were plenty of people eating their "hawt dawgs" and drinking beer like it was a fecking sports event. Those types really annoy me. Especially when they deem it necessary to get up (they probably weren't standing anyways) and go buy another beer. And another. And then during the most enjoyable parts of the concert get up to go take a piss, thus rubbing closer on me than I'd like and disrupting the show for me. What I don't get is why the heck would you buy tickets and not watch the entire show? Do they not realize that this could easily be the last time we get to see Brian May and Roger Taylor (2 of the greatest of all time) LIVE??? This wasn't just any other concert. I just can't fathom how beer could be more important than enjoying every moment we get. I see it as a gift to be able to see Brian and Roger play at all, and I wouldn't miss a second of it, especially not for some beer (which you can enjoy almost anytime). And if you thought the beer drinking and hot dawg eating was bad at Queen, you should've seen coldplay the night before. They draw a younger crowd overall, an immature crowd that thinks alcohol is the coolest thing since sliced bread. On several occasions I could smell people smoking pot. Not cool. Coldplay rocks but I can't stand some of their fans. Actually I can't stand most teenagers in general, even though I am one. They have some seriously bad attitudes. I find older and diverse crowds to be far enjoyable (say...Elton John and Queen). Sorry for that rant, sometimes large numbers of stupid people can get to me. We can't stereotype all U.S. fans this way. Although many are like that, many are not. The Queen show on tuesday was as good or bad as you wanted to make it. You could sit on your ass for two hours and drink beer, or you could really get into like I did. I believe concerts are what you make them. Half of my row was sitting down, but I'll tell you what the other half had as much enthusiasm as any. And yeah, seeing Freddie on the screen playing BoRap...a real tear-jerker moment. So was "Days of Our Lives". The video of all the guys back in the day smiling, seeing Freddie, that really got to me. I wish Freddie could've been there, I think he's the only one that could've done better than Paul Rodgers. On that note, WTF was that person's problem who gave Paul the "thumbs down"??? It was no surprise that Paul would be there. If you object to him singing, DONT GO!!!! Paul gets nothing but thumbs up from me. What he's doing must be extremely difficult, and he's doing better than could be asked. For those of you who still don't think Paul should be doing this, GO SEE A SHOW. I think it might change your mind. Its one thing to sit back and critisize, but once you've gone and had your socks rocked off by a great concert, it leaves little room for doubt. Sure, its nothing like what it could be with our darling Freddie, but its still and damn good show, probably the best currently on tour. I think Freddie is looking down with a big grin on his face - it is a very well done show and I think Freddie gets his due, he is anything but forgotten. I don't see Bri and Rog as selling out. I'm forever greatful to them for allowing me to see them play Queen songs live together, something that would've been otherwise impossible for someone my age. Sorry for the long post, but damn it feels good to get it out. ...on with the show... |

I was at the Cleveland show, and must say I enjoyed it very much. Sat in the fourth row of level 7. link I managed to take over 230 pictures, and posted some of the better ones online. I could've gotten more, but some guy had to wave a French flag around every five minutes. I did try to record the show, brought my equipment with me, but didn't want to try to get it past the metal detectors (probably could've looking back). I was able to get video of Under Pressure though. If anyone was able to record the show, I would be really interested in getting a copy. |

Hey people!! I just got home, completely jetlegged so I will leave just a short message for now ;-) I'm sorry I was not there for the meeting - but I had warned you! ;-) Me and my friends had a slight logistic problem and only arrived few minutes before the show was supposed to start... (Which still took an half our longer though...) Cleveland rocked!! Singing happy birthday for Danny ;-) Under Pressure certainly was THE highlight of the evening - I went totally berzerk ;-) May I note by the way that the setlist on the official site is wrong! Third song was not Can't Get Enough, but IWTBF - CGEOYL came right after Feel Like Making Love... *edit: this is now corrected ;-)* It was a great night musically. From the shows I've seen I realy believe this is was musiccally one of the best - sure they played as tight as QPR can be! No sloppy mistakes by Brian ;-) I had the time of my life! Especially when Brian responded to our Roger AAAAAHHHH-yell right before LOML!! :-D Contrairy of some other US shows there WAS some singing along in Cleveland. On the other hand... During Radio Ga Ga I only counted FIVE people clapping!!! What is it with US audiences??? Do they REALY not know they are supposed to sing LOML and are supposed to clap to Ga Ga?? Are they just 'too cool' to have a good time? ... Anyway, I had an amazing time in the US. Would not have want to miss it for anything. Oh, and no it was not me with the Dutch flag, William! ;-) |
