Setlist was the same, crowd was so small the back of the arena was draped with a black cloth. Either they hadn't sold those seats, or they moved the people that were there. A lot of people were sitting down on the sides. The only real enthusiam was on the floor. Probably cause they let you go up to the catwalk..YAY!! :-) Paul messed up pretty bad on WATC. Not sure what he was doing. I thought for a second he paused to let the crowd sing, but I think he just forgot was he was singing..DOH! Anyways..y'all have me worried about the weather in Cleveland, so I'm off to weather.com. God, I hope there's no ICE. I'm from S.C.. I can't handle no damn ice and snow in the SPRING! Lordy..;-) |
PieterMC 20.03.2006 23:53 |
Paul also messed up badly at the end of AOBTD. He just forgot to sing the end of the song. Spike was frantically pointing at him but he did not seem to notice. WATC was a major fuck up. Once Paul realized that he had no idea where he was in the song he started to improvise. Eventually, after what seemed like an eternity he managed to finish the song. As Erin said, the crowd sucked, but the band sounded great. Under Pressue was well done, but Brian does not need to try and hit the high notes :-) |

well guys i hope you had a good time anyway.the next show will be better.people in pittsburgh dont know which way is up. |
PieterMC 21.03.2006 00:41 |
I definately enjoyed the show. The crowd was just kinda lame. I would not say that any song got a huge reaction. Certainly not anything like the crowd reaction in Duluth. I have a feeling that Cleveland will rock... Onwards... |
KillerQueen1429 21.03.2006 01:46 |
i enjoyed the show very much i was on the floor and i couldnt stop screaming so i was one of the few lame ones lol but yes the crowd couldve done better but all and all it was a great show i enjoyed it very much.....i thought i caught that mess up on ABTD but i didnt notice if anyone else did , guess so.....anyways loved it worth every dime and i hope uall had fun as well!! P.S. I loved all the Steeler stuff goin up when WATC was playing!! |

we had a great time at the Pittsburgh show, but yeah Paul missed on AOBTD and WATC. Brian tore up on the solos for FBG; Danny and Jamie were jumping around the drum riser while Paul hung out with Spike, and Brian went to the catwalk for a solo. "Take Love" had a good response. Dragon Attack seemed a little mechanical. John's just got a slice of real funk is all. Paul did more improv with the crowd than NJ. Under Pressure went "goodly," my favorite bit of the night other than Last Horizon. Jamie did awesome on The Show Must Go On. Paul actually wore Steelers' colors for a while-- gold A-top, dark slacks, white shirt. The smoke machines & flashpots on IWTBF and the guitar solo were awesome! Thanks guys see yas in Cleveland :) |

I thought it was great, I noticed the mess up an the end of AOBTD, but we are the champions was fine, i liked the improv during that. The whole show was spectaular, but the lack of attendence was due to poor promotion and ticket prices. I managed to somehow (i dont know how) get Pauls autograph and after a long discussion, managed to get the setlist from the mixing desk. AND was invited to play at the Breakthru convention this august. I could carless on peoples opinions, last night was the greatest night of my life. |

Seriously about the setlist? I am snowed in here Erin! I haven't been outside yet this am so I'm not sure how much ice is out there. You all please be careful. Cleveland will kick ass, trust me. |
~Blue_Acid~ 21.03.2006 10:39 |
yeah, he seemed to give me a hard time before the show, they did i think they had like 3 copies or whatever. When I asked for it he said "if you have a girl friend", but He was kidding then He gave it and I got the last copy! |

PieterMC wrote: Paul also messed up badly at the end of AOBTD. I can't believe how small the crowd was. Mellon Arena holds like 17K, so you could expect that this place wouldn't be filled...but there couldn't have been more than 5000 people there last night. The band's performance was great, but the electricity of the Worcester MA show has yet to be matched. |

We had a GREAT TIME! And thought the show went off really good! And the reason the curtains were covered over the back row, was Sunday night at the Pens (NHL-Hockey team) the power went out twice during the game, and the second time it went out was because the fuse box caught on fire in that back row section so that was the reason...for safety reasons. Pittsburgh doesn't suck the section we were in, were singing and having a great time, but the only thing I was disappointed at was, the Hotel we were staying at, The Hilton Doubletree across from the Arena, The band was there, checking in Saturday morning, and checking out Monday morning, we arrived Monday afternoon, so i was sooo disappointed about that, and the band rented out 98 rooms there, and Brian May and Roger Taylor and the guys drove around Pittsburgh in the hotel shuttle and party'd Saturday night....so Pittsburgh doesn't suck! on to Cleveland.... BTW I have pics from the concert but not sure how to upload them, can anyone assist me on this! thanks! Micky |

noo, talked to the driver on Tuesday and said they wanted to tour Pittsburgh and see the city on saturday night and he was in heaven..showing them the city......The hotel clerk, confrimed that.....that they checked in Saturday morning and checked out on Monday morning........whatever u beleive up to u, but hotel clerk showed me the 96 rooms they rented on saturday morning..........whatever..is right, they were there, and i missed it, so disappointed about that........cuz beleive me, if they stayed over Monday night, i would've been waiting, but they had a concert in cleveland on Tuesday, which is a 45 minute drive and the rigs were gone Monday night....cuz i watched them pull away...... |

I'm just saying that Brian said he left Canada on Monday morning. (Maybe the date on his site is wrong). Or, maybe the rest of the band spent the weekend in Pittsburgh without Brian. I think Pittsburgh is a very pretty and fun city - so I'm not saying anything about whether or not it would be good to drive around Pittsburgh on a Saturday night in a shuttle bus. I'm sure that would be a fun thing to do and a good way to not have fans finding you, since most fans would be on the lookout for a limo. |

Thank u...i emailed brain on his website about it, to see if it was accurate, so shall c..... but just can't imagine the hotel giving me wrong info.......even when we got back from the concert, I asked if they stayed here, and the guy said yea, and checked out Monday morning, and he did'nt look like a Queen fan, oh well.... wanted to get to the cleveland show tonight, but way to late now....go fiqure, my life! lol ..... |
romefan 22.03.2006 00:30 |
Sounds like the Buffalo show we attended here in Western New York...where the REAL fans had a blast, and the rest sat on their hands. I couldn't figure out whether I was at Simon & Garfunkel or Queen...Pittsburgh, I sympathize... ...absolutely ridiculous. Why this band couldn't pull in 10,000 people when the local Lacrosse team closes in on that figure every Saturday night is beyond me. For Christ's sake, at least YOUR town has an excuse...Monday night concerts blow. Queen in Buffalo was on a Friday night...no opening band...St. Patrick's Day, for that matter...Alas... 'twas still glorious. Better to loved and lost... |

NO I DIDNT WAIT. Thats whats weird a lady came up and taped me on the sholder and said this is for you. I seen like 5 other people hget it. I checed out on queenconcerts.com and it is authentic. I got during days of our lives. I was super happy. |

Sir GH

ah yeah
wrote: I can't picture any US/Canadian audience being more enthusiastic than the Spanish and Italian audiences last year.Spanish and Italian audiences??... Hmmm, latin audiences anyone?? That's why they CAN NOT simply skip Latin America. I'm using the term Latin America to include Mexico, since it's not a part of South America. I hope they come to Mexico aswell. U2 and the Rolling Stones just played stadiums over here in February and March, maybe Queen+PR could do the same? I don't take it for granted. Maybe not Estadio Universitario, as in 1981, but they could play Estadio Tecnológico (between 35 and 40 thousand). If they announce one gig in Monterrey and one in Mexico City I think they would sell them out. But PLEASE, CONTROL THE PRICES!!! The Rolling Stones' promoters made the huge mistake to charge up to 400 USD for a seat. The outcome?? they had to GIVE AWAY thousands of tickets and make 2x1 promotions to sell the thing out. Unofficial sources mention that they only sold about 20,000 tickets at regular price and over 25,000 were given away in promotions. On the other hand, U2 sold out Estadio Tecnológico (5 blocks away from my house and IN my university) in 3 hours and they could have sold another gig in the same venue. The difference??? They charged 35usd and 60usd for GENERAL ADMISION TICKETS!! The 60 dollar tickets were in the field and the other ones were in the benches. They also had 160usd tickets in the seats "near" the stage, but actually that was a rip-off. The hottest tickets were the 60usd ones. That is the key, DAMN IT! If they come to Latin America they SHOULD have general admission. I really don't want to see them play a half empty all seated arena when they could do a general admission medium sized stadium and rock the hell out of us! :) Wiley |

Micky, i noticed something odd about your post about the band "leaving pittsburg mon night" cause its only a 45 min drive from pitt to cleveland. well, i drive that quite a bit and even with speeding at 10 miles over the limit, its still a good 2.5 hours away i think 45 min would be possible, but only if you were playing by nascar rules |
Gecko 24.03.2006 05:10 |
blue acid..........so, some lady came up to you, out of the blue, and said "here is an autograph of Paul Rodgers" and you looked it up on the internet and verified it as authentic..okkkkk well, that was really nice of her, all i got from the lady next to me was the smell of some very potent mary jane and her drunken sliring of the words and clapping during the off beats of "we will rock you." but as long as your believe its authentic, and your happy with it, than good for you :) although im wondering, its hard enough to meet them and to get even a quick scribble on a cd booklett, how the heck did this lady get 5 of them??? back in 1984, i went to a W.A.S.P. concert and brought 2 of my own (used) drumsticks and sold them for 50.00 each to 2 drunk people, i told them i was lucky enough to catch both of them. i guess not everyone you meet at a concert is trustworthy :) |

Gecko, The staff said they checked out Monday morning, before the show that night... and on Brians website, which u can't copy, but had they were tired after being off 2 days, and Why??? lol....... |
