Ok, I know a lot of us will be there. Who wants to meet up, and where is there a good place to do so?? :-) |
The Stealer 12.03.2006 23:23 |
I believe Hotspace1 or is it Hotspace2 has declared the meet up to be at the Hardrock, which I guess is near the venue. I am not sure if we are going to go or not...it depends how we feel upon arriving in Cleveland...a nap might be better for my energy..I drink and eat after shows not before. |
Erin 12.03.2006 23:26 |
Ahh..yes, I recall the Hard Rock conversation now. Brain fart! All these tour dates, booking hotels and such is getting confusing..;-) |

I'm sure that Erin and I will be there before 5 |

You can get Floor 3 Row D on Stub hub for $95 a ticket. You have to buy 2 though link |

Hey!!! Thanks for that info Pieter!!! $95 each is a drop in the bucket from $200 each aye?! I just need to find someone to go with me. It's hard bc everyone has to work on Tuesday. I'm working on it. I'll be there if it kills me. |

I'll be there, Jereon as well said he will be there too so I know what Erin/pieter and Lisser look like, thats about it. Dunno what time I'm planing on leaving around noon/1pm so no clue what time I'll get there. |

Unfortunately, we're having to pass on Cleveland but will be there for a concert on this Friday night. Next Q+PR shows are San Diego and Anaheim. Have fun. Charlie P.S. - If you run into Danny before or after the show, be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday. |

Cleveland is a very easy city to navigate, and get to (at least coming from 71 North). I live about 1hour 15mins south in Mansfield. So i wouldn't freak out too much about that. Where are you all planning to park? I'm thinking the Q's parking would be the best bet...? Like many others, I'll be there way early. Probably late morning or early afternoon. Plan on doing some shopping in Tower City, grabbing some grub and so forth. I cant wait!!! Its now exactly a week away!!! |

I then plan on stopping for brunch at Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel, arrive in Cleveland around 12:30ish, park at the Crowne Plaza for $15.00, maybe go to the HOF, depending on time. Check in at the Hotel is 3:00pm, I am going to try to get in earlier, if I can twist an arm or two. I made it to Cleveland in two hours and 45 minutes the last time I went there..... I am older and wise enough now NOT to do that. I keep the cruise set at 79. |

Haystacks Calhoun 14.03.2006 09:29 |
That is why I am leaving at 8:00 or so. Gives me plenty of time to stop and enjoy breakfast. 4 and a half hours with stops, no problem. As long as I can keep my wife from wanting to stop at the damn outlet stores on the way..... The Crowne Plaza is within walking distance of Tower City and the Q, so we plan on getting there, going ahead and parking at the hotel, as the car won't be moved until we leave Weds. We will probably not go to the HOF until Weds, as I don't think that two hours is enough time to get thru properly. |

a word of warning, to those going to the Rock Hall. I went last summer and regret to say I was somewhat disappointed. There is a TON of stuff about really old, obscure artists. They also have a lot of Beatles, Stones, and Hendrix stuff on display, but other than that, don't expect much. Many of the artists I enjoy weren't well represented or there at all. They had very little on many great classic rock artists, but have a whole huge display on stupid punk music. IMO, there should be more on the classic rock greats, less on the punk&blues, but hey I'm not the curator. They do have some really cool Queen items...one of Fred's white outfits (w/ the arrows, as seen in Queen On Fire LATB), Roger's bass drum from NOTW tour, and one of John's basses. I think they had something Brian there too but I can't remeber. Basically, don't get your hopes way up. Its worthwhile to see but not as great as it could be. |

Of course, no pictures. The actual HOF was nice, but museum, as I said before is mediocre, and not what it could be. As of last summer, they still had a pretty nice display for Pink Floyd's the wall, and thier special display on the top floor was (is?) the Who's Tommy. Check their website for more info. lmao at the camera nazi story, having been there 2x, I can just picture it happening (No pun intended) |
