Is this the full version, because I have a 33 minute DVD of this. Is it the same thing? |
The Game Rules! 09.03.2006 13:57 |
Oh and BTW, I was wondering if in the "Queen Live Videos" section was all the live shows that currently exist. I'm tring to collect all the videos and I need a guide to see what all the videos are that exist. Are they all there? |

Rapidshare is 100mb per file max & this is 10 files making a max of 1000mb...call it 1 gig. I have this DVD transfered direct from jap laser disc & it should be just over 3Gb 1Gb for 33minutes......dont think so m8. It'll be useful for all the lossy lovers here though.Yet another generation loss |

If it is medium to high quality, 1GB for 33min would definitely make sense, depending on the bitrates. |

Yeah right...Tokyo 1979...it's written 1982 on rapidshare...thanks anyway... |

I got this DVD from a trade last year. fact is: A 2 hours show makes about 4 GB on DVD. A quarter of it ( roundabout 30 min ) makes about 1 GB. So where is the problem? I myself never critize something I havn´t even seen yet. And Laser Discs in 79??? But anyway, this is an excellent version of this Queen TV appearance, a true upgrade to the SVCD version here around. AND: Please copy the Houston links from my website to your harddisk. The download links will be removed from my website this weekend. |

frank39 wrote: I got this DVD from a trade last year. fact is: A 2 hours show makes about 4 GB on DVD.in SP mode i agree(lossy audio & lower video birate..lossy...not your fault) A quarter of it ( roundabout 30 min ) makes about 1 GB.see above So where is the problem?no prob Frank I myself never critize something I havn´t even seen yet. And Laser Discs in 79???show in 79,i have LD's with shows from as early as 1965(Beatles Live In Japan) & from other artists.Heard of WOW label & others? But anyway, this is an excellent version of this Queen TV appearance, a true upgrade to the SVCD version here around.with your explanation now, you're probably right as an upgrade to the SVCD,but adding this info when you started stops the guessing & people know exactly where they stand & what they are getting ;) Track list,Video & audio specs(use free G-Spot proggy)& running time wouldnt be hard to add to the 1st post though either would it? You may know what its like......others dont. Just teaching you how to post it properly Frank m8,don't take it to heart to much. Its just facts & figures thats missing.2 minutes extra work. |

frank39 wrote: I got this DVD from a trade last year. fact is: A 2 hours show makes about 4 GB on DVD. A quarter of it ( roundabout 30 min ) makes about 1 GB. So where is the problem?A 2h show only fits on a 4.7 GB dvd if you use lossy audio(Dolby digital/AC3) and lower video bitrates. You can fit about 60 minutes of lossless video and audio on a single dvd, everything above this mark went through lossy encodings, so it's definately not the best quality possible. |

OK, my dear friend 928 ( Porsche Fan, hey?) I wanted to give the people a Queen show, of which I thought, it wasn´t up here until now. Not less, not more. I really don´t need your arragant advices on how to post a topic. I am QZ member since 6 years or more, I uploaded several rare concerts here and in the hub in all these years. In return, I got a lot of Queen music back. So keep your hints, your advices, your laserdisc for yourself. There is no need here for your redundant comments, like: "Well done.....wasnt difficult was it ;)" ,waiting for next hint on how to reply with quotes. Or better not, you´re just boring and redundant. here is one nice little advice from me: Share your Laserdisc, I´d be happy to get a still better copy from YOU. |
928 11.03.2006 09:15 |
6 years eh?.....you should bloody know better then. They were not hints....they were how a true collector does it & shares it m8. Tokyo DVD dont cut it m8. You may as well say malware to download in a zip file(which is where most come from AND from hosting sites). Great idea posting bootlegs on hosting sites isnt it....no possible come back at all is there? They dont log ip adresses do they? Arrogant? Your choice of word Knowledgable! My choice And thats being a collector & trader for 22 years. Prick Carry on with your amature ways then......Oh & yeah i bet you would like a pristine copy, but hey if all of QZ didnt keep fucking up by lossying up everything thats offered, then it would all be mint wouldnt it!! Sheep |
YourValentine 11.03.2006 09:47 |
As yet you have not proven any knowledge, 928. All we see from you is nastiness and paranoia. Malware, give me a break. We all here know Frank and to suggest he posts malware is just a joke. |
Manic 11.03.2006 11:23 |
Being a collector and trader doesn't automatically make you knowledgable. You could sit there all smug as we download (and enjoy) the "lossy" offerings but it would be better if you kept quiet. If you don't want it, don't download it. If it's so terrible in QZ, go somewhere else. In this thread, there has only been one prick, and it isn't Frank. |
frank39 11.03.2006 11:32 |
WOW ( nice label btw.) we have a Profi Queen Fan called 928 among us. Sorry, but I couldn´t know that. So my profi Collector 928 ( since 22 years!! WOW)knew immediatly, this is a pressed DVD, available in any Music Store. Remember your words about the file sizes of a DVD? What do think, you get here? This is a homemade DVD, like almost everything here around. Otherwise it would be free in any Music Store. Got the point, finally??? I guess, 80% of the material here is lossy. Sure, thats nothing for my Hard Core Profi Queen Collector. So dont do it, don´t download my offers, dont download most other offers like Hammersmith 79, Hyde Park, Buenos Aires etc... They are all lossy. But you surely got them on Laser Disc. Sit down on your laserdiscs and keep them warm. |
frank39 11.03.2006 13:59 |
Thanx people, this Super Collector was anoying me since his first post. |

Thanks Frank39! Lots of respect to you for sharing such gems! P.S. F*ck off 928. Do you think that you are an expert huh? Are you trying to get some attension? There is no Tokyo'79 Laser Disc exists in nature! And someone should be gratefull for such a great present! |

Thanks Frank39! Much much appreciated. It's an awesome show. Delightful concert. You can really hear how Fred's voice is struggling in places after touring for 2+ months. I've heard the 6.05.79 gig in Sapporo and he is even more hoarse but giving it his all. Keep up the good work! 99.99% of us at QZ really appreciate your efforts! |

Hi, there are only a few people with problems, I don´t know how to help you. I see that Kenneth has the problems with both Houston AND Tokyo Rapidshare archive, so, that looks as its a problem with your PC System, or probs, while downloading... ? I would really like to help you, but I don´t know how |

I've just finished downloading. The gig is really nice! Thanks! BTW: which date is proper: 24th or 25th of April? According to the label: 24th, in menu of this dvd: 25th, on Queenconcerts: 24th... Any suggestions? |

Can Anyone post the first part of tokio 1979 dvd? thanks in advance. Theinvisiblequeen |
frank39 03.07.2006 13:46 |
I am no longer sure about the date, my Audio boot with these video-sequences says 25 not 24. Who can really tell? |
frank39 04.07.2006 04:13 |
I meant, I have a audio boot with date 25, and this boot is exactly the same audio as the audio from the video. So at least 1 date must be wrong. And the DVD I share also says its 25.4.1979 |
