No discussion of this? Are many other people watching this? I try as much as possible, though that's less and less. I know I'm not the only one who enjoys watching a good ski jumping crash. |

Three medals for the Dutchies so far (1 gold, 2 silver). And I watched Deneriaz winning downhill yesterday! That was a huge surprise. |

Some random person tried to chat me up on Yahoo once. So I tried to convince him I was trying to get into the Australian Luge team for Torino 2006. I told him shit like: *I practise the luge in bed by lying down (that's a Billy Connolly joke I think). *I don't have a coach, but I stand in front of the Olympic Committee Building with a sign saying 'LET ME GO TO TORINO'. This guy got really shitty at me, telling me that being an athlete is real hard work and all that. I sent him a photo of myself without a shirt on and he told me I could go in the lightweight division. Funny, never heard from him again. That's what you get when you waste my fucking time on Yahoo and try to chat me up. :D |

Yes I watch too. Poor Yoko Ono...just had to place first in the race that if he'd just got 2nd he would have qualified...thats what greed does do a person..or vanity..one or the other. |

The Winter Olympics just do nothing for me. Nothing at all. |

I haven't watched them either. |

I watch it. Though I can't understand some kind of sports there... |
KillerQueen840 13.02.2006 15:46 |
I saw part of the opening ceremony... My brother, his friend, and I were laughing so hard, that I thought we were going to pass out. All of these random people dressed up as random things dancing around like mad people in circles...man, either we had waaaay too much candy, or that was really messed up. But entertaining, nevertheless. However, we decided to watch the Brother's Grimm, so we didn't get too far with seeing the rest. :P |

The day the X Games and The Olympics became one was the day I stopped watching the Olympics. I can't believe you can get a gold medal for doing a 'fakey' or shreddin'''''' |

I watched some speed skating (500m), and Figure Skating, of course. I'm gonna watch it again tomorow, etc. |

Serry... wrote: Russia - Canada 2:0 :-) Serry's happy today!Yeah, the Canadian men's hockey team played like crap throughout the whole tournament. I'm surprised they made it to the quarters. But the whole "Gretzky betting" thing was just American propaganda, and it brought the team down, as was intended. At least there will be a new champion. It's interesting in this way, unlike women's hockey. I didn't even watch most of the women's gold medal game because it was so one-sided. I find curling to be more exciting than women's hockey at the olympic level. |
Serry... 24.02.2006 05:08 |
We've had a lot of interviews and documentaries on TV before the game - about 1972 Series, Kharlamov (I think hockey fans know he was... I hope) etc. Seems like to win over Canada was the only one our goal during whole Olympics... That's why I think we won't be playing in final. |

yo i was watching it last night, all of the ice skaters fell atleast once. It was quite funny WOO America got Silver!! |
goodco 24.02.2006 13:11 |
The youngster from Baltimore, and the winner from Japan, plus a few others, didn't fall. Must have been another night..... btw....funny how they say that ratings are down, and yet NBC gets about 130 million hits on its website daily. A different age that we live in.... |

Something I've noticed: Whenever I'm channel-flipping to see different coverage of the Olympics, every time I put it on NBC, an American is competing. Not once has NBC, to my knowledge, shown anything that does not directly involve an American. There's that overly-patriotic nationalistic crap we hear too much about. On the other hand, Canada's CBC shows everything they possibly can. Of course they are doing all they can to promote Canadian athletes, but they certainly do not limit their airtime to only events involving Canadians. But of course, I'm not surprised by this difference. |
