Apology accepted. Also sorry towards A Word In Your Ear for calling you a leech. Yes, I shared things in the past, like Houston 1977 audio and some other songs from various bootlegs. You can call us traders greedy, selfish etc. But if you were standing in our shoes, you will understand it. Trading is a hobby, right? And hobby's are meant for fun. I know Queen4U said SHARE THIS but he also said TRADE THIS OUT! I'm sorry, but this is confusing, isn't it? So, maybe Queen4U can explain this??? I'm still want to trade this if anyone is interested, any bootlegs or demos are always wanted. (superrick20@hotmail.com) And if the lossless version is shared, pity for me and the other traders. I won't cry. But some of you guys don't take any effort to understand the meaning of trading. They just shout around that we are a couple of 'elite traders' or 'greedy, selfish people'. Attention-seekers, ah well, not my cup of tea, really. And most of the time they don't deal with real critisism. Many things are uploaded EVERY SINGLE DAY and still many people complain. Why for God's sake? Be happy that there are people WHO share. With the arrival of the internet trading has become far more difficult. Still, I want to keep trading alive, please understand that. |

Rick: How can you be a trader if you do not allow your e-mail address to be accessed? "This member does not allow his / her email to be displayed" Most collectors I know, begin with e-mail contact. For example, my own e-mail is easily found. I just think if anyone IS serious - they need some point of contact. |

<font color=green>Rick wrote: Many things are uploaded EVERY SINGLE DAY and still many people complain. Why for God's sake? Be happy that there are people WHO share. With the arrival of the internet trading has become far more difficult. Still, I want to keep trading alive, please understand that.Yes Rick, I do understand why people trade, Some people can be a bit ungrateful sometimes, I don't know why? As I have said Many Times before, people should be thankful for what they get, "Something is better than Nothing at all" Now going back to the early 1980's when I started collecting boots, Trading & going to the Record collecing fairs, was, the only way to expand our collections, but now with the Internet, it opens a larger, Easier & Cheaper way of collecting. Now when I was young, as I said, in the 80's it cost me alot of money to get poorly packaged audio cassettes, All of my Pocket money (up to 1983) & Apprenticeship wages (after). Some of the Kids of today are in the same situation (hardly any Money) as I was in the 80's. So why Should they Have to Spend Fortunes, in Buying something Rare, so that They can Trade it with someone, who has something as equaly rare? Let's face it. Traders are not going to give something rare away for free are they?. So It's sort of a "Catch 22" situation. I have nothing agaist people who Trade, but don't you think that if everyone uploaded everything rare, for all to have, it would make the Queen comunity around the world a better place? It would also STOP people Selling on ebay & Such!!! Anyway, that's just how I feel, As I Have said, I have nothing against people who Trade & I can see their reasons why they prefer to Trade. Anyway Rick, Sorry again for my remark, All The Best. |

Thanks for this! Anyway I must inform you it seems it's not complete: From record collector: During his first-year of study at Twickenahm Technical College, Dave Dilloway had made friends with a number of technicians, or trainee technicians, at the Teddington-based ITV company which served the London area. The station had recently invested in new recording equipment, and rather than hire professional musicians at the usual union rate, in a set up similar to the first Queen sessions at the De Lane Lea studios, 1984 were let loose in the studio to record at their leisure. Dave Dilloway's carefully preserved tape still plays perfectly, and includes the followign songs: "Hold On I'm Coming", "Knock On Wood", "NSU", "How Can It Be", two early run-throughs of the original May/Staffell composition "Step On Me", (which eventually became the B-side to Smile's "Earth"), "Purple Haze", "Our Love Is Driftin'", and medleys of "Remember"/"Sweet Wine" and "Get Out My Life Woman"/"Satisfaction". The session ended with a run-through of "My Girl"." So maybe this stuff is missing: "Get Out My Life Woman"/"Satisfaction" and "My Girl"." Are collectors out there with the complete version from this tape? |

I will not try to trade for this, but i'm sure people that contact the people that got this will get this answer: "Sorry, you don't have anything rare enough to get this". The whole purpose was that people should share this. There is a diffence when the intention was to leak this out in lossless. Don't get me wrong, it's nice that the mp3 version is shared here, i just hope that non-elite traders also will be able to get this within the trading community. |
Flush_Gurdun 07.01.2006 14:38 |
No, whats funny is the amount of folk who reply mainly to mention that they already have the "gems" being shared... you should grow up? Who cares that you already had it! Every time its the same when there is something a little more rare being shared... eg. thanks, i already had it but... (or) I've had this for ages but it's nice that its being shared... bullshit... you are raging that it's being shared, if you werent you wouldn't bother replying. As for folk saying thank you, if thats the only reason people share is to get recognition then don't do it. Bittorrent has been used for years now, and out of the hundreds/thousands of people that download individual torrents, your lucky if a handful say thanks. Its always been like that. Think how stupid threads would become with hundresds of users just saying 'thanks', people wouldnt bother reading them or join in on the discussions. |

Not all, but at huge % are. They want everything and they want it in perfect quality. It amazed me when people complained about the length and quality of the St Paul DVD. The majority on here don't deserve the items that are shared. That is why I will no longer bother sharing items on here as the majority of people who download are leachers. Oh, bloody hell... Someone has just shared one of the EARLIEST known recordings of a Queen member, and we have four pages of people bitching about trading vs. sharing? There has not been one post talking about Brian's guitar playing or Tim's singing, and only one post commenting on a song. Is this what we've been reduced to? Unbelieveable, in the highest regard. I'm starting to think that people here just collect recordings like one collects stamps, as opposed to actually listening to recordings and being interested in discussing them with others. Whatever happened to that anyway? Oh wait, that never happened here in the first place! This is a sad day in the history of Queenzone. |

Thanks - just listened to it and am enjoying it very much. Certainly a interesting sound for Brian and indeed for Tim (listening to his later works in tandem). As for me, I am a collector, not a trader or a seller (although I have bought a lot <grin>) - also a giver if you want something that I have take it - share the music! (Returning to the hub shortly after 2 new firewalls & a few new intrnet connections added, plust a well-wanted holiday). As for sound quality, I take what I can get and am thankful. If I can upgrade, I do, if not, then I simply run my post processor over it to clean up and enhance, then listen and enjoy what people care to share. So thank you to all who share, and for all those who don't say thanks, either because they are too shy, don't know how, run out of time, or are afraid of getting attacked by the, shall we say, more volatile members. (And for those who complain that people don't say thanks (and who, by the way, didn't say thanks either in their post ;-) ), many think it and are greatful. I have had people complain about my uploads: my response to them is always the same - no one forces you to download. Remember, it is better to download something that isn't as good as you hoped then it is to trade or buy it - you've lost nothing except a little time. |

New Rapidshare link link Many thanks to Queen4U for generously sending this out and to Gizmo for doing the right thing with it (and in my opinion, what Queen4U intended). I understand that the lack of thanks can irritate some people. It doesn't bother me. I'm just pleased to have something to be able to share. I think the biggest problem here is those that take all the time, demanding (not those that politely request) more seeds and better quality but never reciprocate by uploading anything. Anyway, those that haven't got it, enjoy the tracks. There are some flashes of what was to come in the raw talent of a young Brian May. |
Flush_Gurdun 08.01.2006 06:19 |
Good on Paynee for re-uploading this. I appreciated the original host, but find it pathetic that he/she deleted it just because they didnt receive enough thanks. And to the people who put the idea into his/her head to take it off rapidshare, you should be ashamed for being so childish. Funnily enough, i wonder if you would have been so keen to have it removed if you didnt already have it. Its sad to see so many users post files for the glory or recognition. No-one seems to do it just to share. As I said before, could you imagine every post with hundreds of people just saying "thanks". Nobody would bother to read the posts for real discussion. |

This is a sad day in the history of Queenzone.I know Bob. This is my fault, I started this. Again, you can say. Sorry! I've made many mistakes the last time, I admit it. |

There are some flashes of what was to come in the raw talent of a young Brian May.thanks for this true words!!! |

Absolutely brilliant stuff. Thank you so much for sharing this piece of history. I have a question - how many of these are original compositions? - The only one I know of (obviously) is Step On Me, which are two great versions! More laid back and mellow compared to the Smile version. |

KRP 11.01.2006 15:57 |
Now then. This is all very intriguing, since I thought no-one else would have this. And as you can see, I'm not Queen4U. I suppose you could call me Queenphone Warehouse?! Anyway, I 'acquired' this recording direct from one of the band members (I will elaborate no further) about 9 years ago. I held onto it all that time, until agreeing to share it with two people I met at Sheffield in May. On a strict 'no Queenzone' basis!! So, if Queen4U is either David B., or Cameron B. - you didn't quite stick to the agreement!! It does seem coincidental that I sent the disc to CB before Xmas and now it's appeared! (I won't bear a grudge though, as I'm the one that shared it in the first place so I guess I can only blame myself. Maybe you could e-mail me either way mate?). If it isn't either of those two, then they will be smiling anyway, since the recording I shared with them included Get Out Of My Life Woman/Satisfaction & My Girl. And I won't feel so guilty as it didn't come from me..! I guess it was always going to turn up some day, but I just enjoyed having my period of exclusivity...just to clarify, I wasn't 'hoarding' the tape - I was given it on trust that it would not emerge into the 'public domain'. If no-one else shares the final two tracks, then I may do so. Eventually. But please bear in mind that: (a) although I spend far more time on QZ than my wife is happy with, it's really not much at all and hence I can't guarantee getting round to it; and (b) I will not enter into any correspondence / debates on the subject. This is a genuine statement as I'm not into playing games - I really don't have the time. As proof, I suspect none of the tracks made available thus far have Brian calling John Garnham a bastard for asking for his guitar to be mixed higher as he'll be playing some lead parts (that happens before GOOMLW). I suppose I ought to download the tracks to see if it is my recording... |
PTRACER 11.01.2006 19:24 |
That would be great KRP :) Would it be possible to upload the whole lot in a high quality MP3 format please? 192kbps, or maybe even 320kbps. Just to keep a consistant quality. Many thanks to the original poster for posting this though! |
Kaybowser 11.01.2006 19:28 |
Removed hiss but didn't sound good link |
PTRACER 11.01.2006 19:44 |

PLEASE, don't spread tryied restored hiss or humm or etc files Restore an mp3 file is inuseful. Try to restore a 96 kb mp3 is MORE inuseful. please desist to spread rubbish let restore the files to those who can do a good job (at least someone that know that cutting too much frequencies is not a good idea :) ) with a good source as good as possible ( flac or better wav ) Don't modify *and share* your file without knowing what you are doing !!! without that source the files shared here are the best as we can have :| Naturally you are free to do what you want with your stuff. Again, leave circulate only THIS copy, waiting for better time ( and source! :) ) It is not a good idea have to choose beetween multiple WORSE THA THAT (SURELY ALL) copies ! this is my opinion. I think this line of thinking would be extended to every shared files thank you *all* PS : i don't want to hit anyone |

Hi all Im one of the guys that KRP gave the original to (Cameron B) that he refers to in his post. I just want to say categorically that it wasnt me that posted it up. I have no problem with sharing things if allowed to, but KRP didnt give me permission to trade this and thus I have not given it to ANYONE or traded it at all. I just wanted to post this as I do trade with people here and would hate for anyone to think that I have "released" anything taht i wasnt allowed to. In 15 yrs of general trading and 8 yrs of trading very rarwe items i have NEVER shared anyhting if i have been asked not to. Lots of people have mentioned that they had this for a while (eg yrs), I just received this approx 1 month ago and yes mine is complete and this isnt, so this is definitely not my version that has been posted. I have spoken to KRP and asked him to note on here that i did not abuse anyones trust. Never have..never will! have a great one everyone! Cheers Cam |

Hi KRP. Looks like Cam beat me to the reply - he obviously visits QZ more often than I do. I didn't post it either, and like Cam says, there are some songs missing. If I was going to trade it, I'd have copied the disc and the whole lot would have leaked. Ironically, I was offered it months ago by someone in south america - or at least he said he was getting it and if I wanted a copy I should let him know what I'd like to trade. He never replied. Got to admit I was a bit cheesed when it leaked, but these days everything is leaking (which is a good thing I suppose). If you still have my email address, please feel free to get in touch. D |

I know it because this guy has informed me 1-2 months ago that after 10 years he has decided to spread it. |
