Amazing how much one changes in 10 years! link Age 9 to 19. I think we can all say I changed for the better! (BTW, that shaving cream reads "REAL MAN" ... 'tis amusing!) |
MRfMERCURY 19.12.2005 06:06 |
Holy shit, that a girl on the left, are you a he she. or by the pics i think a she he |
Zander05 19.12.2005 13:34 |
I do not like the term "he-she." It is incredibly disrespectful. I am a female-to-male transgender person, thank you. |
Zander05 19.12.2005 15:02 |
I'm still pre-op and pre-testosterone so I'm very much still considered female. I'm just astounded at how much I've changed in 10 years. link is my trans site. |
Flashman 19.12.2005 15:03 |
So you've got both nads and naps? Christ, I'd never leave the house. |
Zander05 19.12.2005 17:41 |
... No I do not have "nads." My body, children, is female. My mindset is male. That means my body and mind do not match. That means I have a condition called "gender dysphoria." Sex is between the legs, gender is between the ears. Sex is male, female, and intersex, and has to do with your chromosomes, genitalia, hormones, etc. Gender is man, woman, boy, girl, androgynous (gender-neutral), etc., etc., and has to do with your internal sense of self and how you express yourself. I hope to one day get chest reconstruction surgery so that I'll have a male chest, then I'd like to start injecting testosterone (T) into my system which will put me through the puberty I feel was robbed from me when I was 12. As far as "the surgery," there are different kinds for trans men (female-to-male) and trans women (male-to-female). I only feel the need to pee standing up, so my surgery will not include testicular implants (unless I decide I want/need them). link -Trans 101 link -How to be respectful to trans people |

There are people who would pay big money to get it on with you... Guys with pies, as it were.. link |
Zander05 19.12.2005 18:44 |
God forbid anyone come across this thread to only discover that I'm a human being and not a sideshow freak! I hate to tell you all, but trans+ people who opt for hormones and surgeries are not altering their bodies for your sick entertainment. It's such a fucking shame that we just have that need to find comfort within ourselves! What's sad is that the closer society comes to accepting trans people as the norm, there will always be fuckheads still too fucking close-minded to see someone like me and think: "human being." But you just look at me and think: "freak of nature that must be wiped out because there is nothing and no-one more superior than the heterosexual, cisgendered (link, caucasian, Christian male." |

Good for you, i think it's great that people can come out about stuff like this and not care about what other people think. congratulations. |

Zander05 19.12.2005 19:37 |
I prefer male pronouns (he, him, his). So you can say "you go, guy!" :-) |
iGSM 19.12.2005 19:43 |
You go, guy! Also I agree 1000% with what Poppy said. |

Zander05: Forgive me, but I am a square guy - with a very square attitude, so I will need you to guide me through an answer to my question. As for your gender, race, creed, religion or sexual orientation - I really don't care. It is your life, your choices. If you feel better in blue, wear blue. If you feel better in male - wear male. It really does not affect or touch me at all. (And neither it should - as should also be the case with all your private business!). However, as a stickler for keeping records and details - do you think you have the right (a philosophical question - not an argument) to change your birth certificate - as some transgender individuals believe? My own view boils down to a very strongly held personal 'belief'. That is, I do not think anyone should be allowed to arbitrarily change a legal document as I think this could lead to chaos. I think it slowly opens a door to fraud, confusion and anarchy. Regardless of what you think now - you were born female, and a birth certificate is a legal document - a snapshot if you like - of your original gender. To change that documentation from female - to male, to suit your current mindset is, I think, wrong, as your current mindset can never reflect 'what you once were'. I would be really keen to hear your thoughts on the subject, as I know that some transgender individuals feel very strongly indeed about this issue. PS: Why did you remove your Dumbledore quote? You can still use it - but it would be more academically correct if you attribute it to J.K. Rowling. PPS: Why do you need reconstructive chest surgery? I am 100% male - and I have bigger breasts than you do! |

Regardless of what you think now - you were born female, and a birth certificate is a legal document - a snapshot if you like - of your original gender.I wouldn't change my birth certificate so I can be stealth (the post-op trans equivalent to the closet). What makes my birth certificate fraud is that it has my female birthname and sex. What's between my legs does not define me and, though not legal, my name is Alexander. It's all a matter of comfort also. And plenty of guys I know who've altered their BCs have said that there's nothing on there saying "THIS DOCUMENT WAS TOTALLY CHANGED! OMG!!!11" They just get a new one as if their old one was lost in a flood or something. John S Stuart wrote: PS: Why did you remove your Dumbledore quote? I need chest reconstruction surgery so that I can have a male chest and look like the person I know I was meant to be. Some guys don't feel the need to have any surgeries or hormones, and that's okay. But I can't look in the mirror and appreciate my female attributes. They don't feel like a part of me and never have. Hope I answered your questions, John. Also see the Trans 101 link I posted. |

My mother is attempting to understand me. Just when she makes a little progress, she takes about five steps back. So she sort of fluctuates. My father found out from his girlfriend. He and I have never spoken about it but I know he absolutely hates it and hates me for it. I'd have to say the majority of my friends have been really cool about it. Fortunately, I can say that in the time I've been out as FTM, I have not been beaten up or harrassed by anyone or kicked out onto the streets! |

Zander05: Thanks for the frankness of your answer. Now, you do not need to answer this. A polite refusal is fine, but (and again not from 'perversion' - but because of my ignorance I am genuinely interested) what will happen 'down there'. I am mindful of younger readers, but delicately, is there an op to give you a 'real' penis? Is this 'member' reconstructed or artificial? Will you need viagra for more intimate moments - or will you still able to achieve the big O? Basically, once in place, how sensitive would this be, and how would it function? I apologise for my brutality, but, I guess it is one of those things which I am sure everyone thinks about, but, is too polite or frightened to ask. PS: If this was 'face to face' I too would be too embarrassed to ask, but, at least here there is still a degree of facelessness when asking such thing over the internet. |

This post is not intended for younger people to read. If you think you'll be offended in any way, shape or form, kindly turn away. Includes links to images of medical content that may be too graphic for some. John: to answer your question (and I'll answer this because I know you're genuinely interested and not some insensitive asshole), while on testosterone (T), the clitoris will increase in size. On average, probably about one inch. Here's a helpful link of an article written by Jamison Green (FTM advocate) that covers different kinds of chest reconstruction surgeries and what we call bottom (below the belt) surgeries: link link - a few examples of growth while on testosterone. link - a few results of chest reconstruction surgery conducted by Dr. Michael Brownstein. link - My friend Evin's transition. link - Bastian's transition. link - Pamphlet on testosterone. |

I like girls (gender, sex, butch, femme, androgynous, etc) and I like transmen (biological guys aren't my cup of tea). No, I'm not gay or bisexual. link Go here. It explains a little bit. |
Zander05 22.12.2005 00:46 |
I didn't choose to be transgender. I however choose to be transsexual. What I mean to say is, I plan to do something so that I can live happily and not live in this misery of a female body. |

Sorry about the delay, but I visited all those sites you suggested, and read all that information. It was almost too much for my small brain to comprehend - but, it didn't explode, and I am still here! It seems to me that pain is man's (in the generic sense) natural state! I can't comprehend what you feel, as obviously I am very comfortable in my own skin, but it does seem to be a long road of pain and suffering ahead, so let's hope in the end, it will all be worthwhile. |
