... No I do not have "nads." My body, children, is female. My mindset is male. That means my body and mind do not match. That means I have a condition called "gender dysphoria." Sex is between the legs, gender is between the ears. Sex is male, female, and intersex, and has to do with your chromosomes, genitalia, hormones, etc. Gender is man, woman, boy, girl, androgynous (gender-neutral), etc., etc., and has to do with your internal sense of self and how you express yourself. I hope to one day get chest reconstruction surgery so that I'll have a male chest, then I'd like to start injecting testosterone (T) into my system which will put me through the puberty I feel was robbed from me when I was 12. As far as "the surgery," there are different kinds for trans men (female-to-male) and trans women (male-to-female). God forbid anyone come across this thread to only discover that I'm a human being and not a sideshow freak! I hate to tell you all, but trans+ people who opt for hormones and surgeries are not altering their bodies for your sick entertainment. It's such a fucking shame that we just have that need to find comfort within ourselves! What's sad is that the closer society comes to accepting trans people as the norm, there will always be fuckheads still too fucking close-minded to see someone like me and think: "human being." I think it slowly opens a door to fraud, confusion and anarchy. Regardless of what you think now - you were born female, and a birth certificate is a legal document - a snapshot if you like - of your original gender. To change that documentation from female - to male, to suit your current mindset is, I think, wrong, as your current mindset can never reflect 'what you once were'. I would be really keen to hear your thoughts on the subject, as I know that some transgender individuals feel very strongly indeed about this issue. PS: Why did you remove your Dumbledore quote? What makes my birth certificate fraud is that it has my female birthname and sex. What's between my legs does not define me and, though not legal, my name is Alexander. It's all a matter of comfort also. And plenty of guys I know who've altered their BCs have said that there's nothing on there saying "THIS DOCUMENT WAS TOTALLY CHANGED! I need chest reconstruction surgery so that I can have a male chest and look like the person I know I was meant to be. Some guys don't feel the need to have any surgeries or hormones, and that's okay. But I can't look in the mirror and appreciate my female attributes. They don't feel like a part of me and never have. My mother is attempting to understand me. Just when she makes a little progress, she takes about five steps back. So she sort of fluctuates. My father found out from his girlfriend. He and I have never spoken about it but I know he absolutely hates it and hates me for it. I'd have to say the majority of my friends have been really cool about it. Fortunately, I can say that in the time I've been out as FTM, I have not been beaten up or harrassed by anyone or kicked out onto the streets! |

A polite refusal is fine, but (and again not from 'perversion' - but because of my ignorance I am genuinely interested) what will happen 'down there'. I am mindful of younger readers, but delicately, is there an op to give you a 'real' penis? Is this 'member' reconstructed or artificial? Will you need viagra for more intimate moments - or will you still able to achieve the big O? Basically, once in place, how sensitive would this be, and how would it function? I apologise for my brutality, but, I guess it is one of those things which I am sure everyone thinks about, but, is too polite or frightened to ask. John: to answer your question (and I'll answer this because I know you're genuinely interested and not some insensitive asshole), while on testosterone (T), the clitoris will increase in size. On average, probably about one inch. It was almost too much for my small brain to comprehend - but, it didn't explode, and I am still here! It seems to me that pain is man's (in the generic sense) natural state! I can't comprehend what you feel, as obviously I am very comfortable in my own skin, but it does seem to be a long road of pain and suffering ahead, so let's hope in the end, it will all be worthwhile. |
