The one I have is the piano only version, that indeed sounds like the Trolley Song.
Pretty cool.
Thank you!
Thanks, Niek! On the following Xmas I'll send you some bottles of the best Russian vodka, since you have more demos than me - that is all what I can offer :)
Sir GH wrote - "If that's all you need, then your standards are pretty low. There are hundreds of demos out there."
I was referring to demos that we know fans definately have.
Now if someone has a comprehensive list....
Thanks a lot for this! Great to hear the progression of songs like this
You know, if you guys release one demo every Christmas...we'll probably still have them all before the boxed set comes out...
Maybe he was just passing through that area of London and felt like visiting whoever was in Garden Lodge.
"Hi my names' Kim Basinger... BAH Freddie Mercury! Can I record in your house?"
"Er... I suppose I could let you in, I'd have to-"
"OH JUST GET ON WITH IT. Otherwise I'll forget my name".
Badabing badaboom, he records the demo in Garden Lodge a full two or so years before he moves in. Completely plausible.
He just wanted to make sure that the sound was alright in Garden Lodge... guess it was just a part of the decision to move in there!
Poor Fred... he had to FACE IT (all) ALONE in those years... what a pity... reminds me a lil´ bit of a guy called Zebonka12!!! ;-)
BTW... he (Fred NOT Zebonka12) bought Garden Lodge in late 1980.... but he refused to settle in there before the "accustics" were finaly up to his standards in 1985! :-)))
I'm going to post a thread called ANNOUNCE : Face it Alone. And in it I'll rapidshare an mp3 of Freddie singing 'facing this alone' from Too Much Love Will Kill You.
Kevin! Nice to meet you!
By the way, you were by far the best performer at the 2001 John Lennon Tribute in New York. Your version of Mind Games simply put everyone else at that event to SHAME.
Rock on!
