I wonder if Queen & PR is going to record a studio album with brand new songs ..
Just concider it: They are all good songwriters. Paul Rodgers is not just a vocalist, but also a songwriter.
They all seem to have the taste for real rock music. After this successful tour, how can they ever want to stop this? I imagine they want to do more. They say they enjoy playing live, and if there is going to be another tour, they have to write new songs. They could play new material and of course also Queen classics.. :)
It is exciting thoughts... I actually would even more like to go to a concert with Queen+Paul Rodgers to listen to brand new material. Then it would be a brand new band, and no reason to complain! Cool!
It is not impossible, just look at the "Stones", they are even older, and still they are putting out records and touring.
I already start thinking of how the lighting rig will be next time :-) !! Well, I guess we have to wait and see what the future will bring :)
I also hope they go to te studio and record new music... but unlike you, good sir, my hope is more focused on the fact that I want Paul Rodgers to stop butchering Queen classics on tour. Maybe if they write new material they'll stop playing Queen songs period... God I hope so. Literally, the best part of "Return of the Champions" is when Brian sings "'39" and Roger performs "...In Love With My Car". I'm not saying that he should've tried to be or that he should've impersonated Freddie at all... but I am saying that the man sucks at singing Queen songs. If they do write new stuff Brian and Roger probably should change the name of the band and stop f'ing up the great legacy that the REAL Queen built, here's an idea: Paul Rodgers and The Sellouts. The remaining members of Queen should just face facts... no Freddie, no show. John figured that out a long time ago and retired with dignity... Brian and Roger should get wise and do the same. The reason I'm being brutally honest in this post is because I'm tired of hearing all the kiss ass I've been hearing about this unholy union... it's a fact that these guys suck together... if you don't belive me, the proof in the pudding... buy "ROTC" and see for yourself.
OH, AND ANOTHER THING!!! Brian going around saying that Freddie would've loved the Q+PR thing... NOT COOL!!! No he wouldn't have! NO HE WOULDN'T HAVE MR. MAY!!! So STOP IT!!!
There... I'VE SAID IT!!! DEAL WITH IT!!! And I'm sure that any REAL/HARDCORE Queen fans will agree with me!
And for you who say I'm wrong... FACE IT! You know I'm right... I've broken the ice... now speak the truth about how you feel of the union between "Queen" and Paul "STOP SINGING QUEEN SONGS" Rodgers.
LONG LIVE FREDDIE MERCURY AND THE REAL QUEEN!
I know I didn't my dear friend... but nobody really knew Freddie all that well... except for Mary, of course. Brian himself said that Freddie was quite reserved and was all about business during the later years... in fact, the band mates were last to know about Freddie's illness. Yes, it's true that at the beginning they were all great friends but later on that changed quite a bit. Whst I really meant to say was that the only person who can say if Freddie likes the Q+PR thing is Freddie... and quite possibly Mary Austin.
I wish to apologize about that insane rant I put on a couple of message boards yesterday... I bought the "ROTC" cd with very, VERY high expectations and it did not meet most of them... sorry all... didn't mean most of what I said... I know that if you're in this site you're a Queen fan... a real one... sorry again mates... lost my temper a bit.
So back to SANITY.....it would be very cool to have Brian, Roger and PR work on new stuff - new studio work, new tours in future....personally I can't wait to hear what stuff they'll record...Paul is a fantastic singer and Roger and Brian are fantastic musicians....sounds like a cool supergroup to me....it will ROCK and will be incredible.....I am extremely happy that Brian and Roger have agreed to tour again for all their fans and I am also just happy to see them play, watch them enjoy the music they love and do what their profession is.......every now and then we get some WHINING person on here....who thinks that Queen died in 1991.....and that their music died and should not live on....and that no one should ever play their music again and all that crap....their sales show how important their music is...even today...and the sales of this tour show how important their music is to Queen's real fans....and to fans of Brian and Roger individually as well..........Like it or not Queen Lives on Forever....The Show Must Go ON.....and Queen + PR Rock.....if you don't like it, don't buy it.....and don't go......obviously the rest of us will enjoy every minute of it...and hope Brian and Roger and whoever make music for years to come.......and yes apology accepted from anyone who has dissed Queen, Brian or Roger about this and has realized and wishes to apologize for their error

I will agree that the CD doesn't do justice to the live event.
