anyone following the show lately? Suzie's gunna do Bohemian Rhapsody next. i dont think it will be great, i honestly think Mig should do it. but he was right when he said that INXS would be like "oh, he's doing another Queen song". i want to see him get the role, so whatever. i dont think Suzie will...how should i put it...do well, i guess. it's a very complicated song for anyone to cover (obviously) but i dont think that she will pull it off well. it's not her type. but then again, i could be totally wrong. anyway, im interested to see how it works out.
Mig & Jordass are my favs...
Jordass sucked ass on Dream On
But...overall, she's been the best so far..
Her cover of Bowie's "Man who sold the world" was better than the original...or Nirvana's version.
Susie stormed the place with Th Rolling stones "Start me up" but not sure how she's gonna handle Bohemian Rhapsody. Here's what was said.
Surprisingly, only one song is contested: "Bohemian Rhapsody." Suzie immediately decides she must sing it, and MiG, who calls it "the greatest rock song ever written," tells Suzie they're going to have to "wrestle for it." J.D. reminds MiG that if MiG had let Suzie sing her original last week, maybe she'd let him have it. MiG soon reconsiders; he's been trying to downplay his theatrical background, and if he sings Queen yet again, INXS might penalize him for not taking chances. He finally decides to let Suzie take the song.
Suzie, of course, cries tears of joy when MiG hands her the song, but they could quickly become tears of frustration. Paul calls "Bohemian Rhapsody" one of the most difficult rock songs to sing. "If you get off the track," he continues, "the whole thing could fall apart." And in rehearsal, Suzie is having problems getting on track. She's not sure she can remember the words, plus the melody's complexity and ranginess is a concern. "There's no room for error," she says, and she's ready to panic.
The Queen song and the Rolling Stones' "You Can't Always Get What You Want" -- a choir will provide accompaniment.
How far behind are we? I missed the last voting off, but the one before that was Tara.
And wanyway, wasn't it the other chap, the annoying one (JD is it?) who keeps doing Queen songs rather than Mig?
...Not that I've been following it or anything.
Cant wait to see it on Sunday night on vh1 tried to check it out on link but cant for some reason but read the review and this is what it said.Susie Marty and MiG are my fav's cant stand Jd at the moment.
Suzie ends this epic evening in high style, singing Queen's equally epic "Bohemian Rhapsody." It's a song she wanted to sing more than any other in the competition -- one she knows, if done right, will keep her out of the bottom three. It's quite a task to take on. Not only does the song move all over the scale in its melody, it demands whoever sings it move from the quiet, pretty, almost rueful opening passages to the penultimate section's nearly screamed anger. Suzie manages to hit it all -- the notes and the emotions -- and do it in joyous, dramatic fashion. Dave says it's spectacular, Kirk thinks it's the best performance he's heard on the show and Jon calls her a true pro -- he's proud that she wants to be a part of INXS.
RockStar's Suzie got Queen a lot of attention. So did Constantine M's "Bohemian Rhapsody."
Here is something from the Reality tv website about Suzie's BoRhap.

Tidbit:
We were really expecting to see Suzie McNeil crash and burn on “Bohemian Rhapsody,” but she didn’t. While it might not have been as good as Constantine Maroulis’ version on American Idol, Suzie proves that she has the vocals to handle the song. Dave Navarro calls Suzie’s performance, “One of the most spectacular things I’ve ever seen.”
Dave Navarro also thinks Jane's addiction music is good.
FYI- Suzie wasn't great, but she blew Constantine away.... he sucked.
Have any of you heard his new cd???
OMFG!!!!
Its sucks soooo much man ass.... I'd rather have Barry Manilow sing for AC/DC, then be in a band with Constantine.

While Constantine does a nice imitation, that's all it is. A carbon copy with nothing new to add to it.
Suzi added something...reeking air. She sucked worse than Constantine. She was so damn off key and her interpretation was so wooden I wanted to scream for the shame it brought to Freddie's song.
All these reality show wannabes tring to do BoRhap are making me want to SCREAM they are so damn awful. Barry Manilow would sound like Pavoratti in comparison.
I didn't think Suzie "sucked" lol.
But her version wasn't nearly as strong as Constantine's on Idol. Her voice was OK but a singer needs passion to carry a song like that this. She certainly should have held some notes longer, (mammmaaa ooohhhh). That would have added emotion to her rendition.
And did everyone notice, she didn't sing "any way the wind blows" at the end of the song? The choir sang that bit. That's a tough bit to sing and Constantine did it so well he made it look easy. She didn't dare try.
I have no idea why the band made such a fuss over her. I won't be buying the band's CD if Suzie wins this competition. I may not buy it anyway.
It wasn't bad...I thought she did try a bit too hard to sound like Freddie by making her voice so deep...but it was interesting seeing the opera part! I always wonder what it would be like if Queen had attempted to do it.
