Have you ever wondered as to why Freddie painted his nails on one hand black and Brian white? Maybe it has something to do with The March of the Black Queen and The White Queen (As It Began)?

It was about the two sides in Freddie. Freddie had a dark side and a light side (that's why he wore white in the beginning and black at the ending of the Queenshows till '77). That also tells us about his fingernails and the balck and white Queen story. And those Queens together form QUEEN. Freddie wrote songs in his white or black mood.

It also has to do with Zoroastrainism (Freddie's relgion by birth). The two gods Ahriman (white) and Ahura Mazada (black) are represented.
You started fighting about some old boring religion!
The question says: Is there connection between the fingernails and songs?, not: is the Zoroastrianism a monotheistic religion?!!!
And I think that the songs came from fingernails (dont take this so seriously)
because, FM had painted his fingernails before those songs were written.
It has to go with his battle with being hetro or homosexual.
White stands for Heterosexuality, and black for homosexuality. He tried to say with it that he couldn't choose, and that he saw himself as a bisexual in the early years

Billy good adolphe forgive them, they work hard all night, and after they must be prepared to your delicious precepts
just remember everybody...it was Brian that wrote White Queen....and all but one Roger track on side white...honestly I think it was just how they wanted to present themselves at that time...
